Many of us were wondering the same, but I believe there is time to get it worked out. We just don't need an injury on the OL beyond what Monroe has already suffered.

I think we learned that the defense is much better when they are aggressive.

Denvers OL and Running game surely didn't look good either. The OL as a whole under-preformed, Imma give them a chance to bounce back before making any calls.

Funny the difference a week makes in what we're wanting to question on our team. Other than health concerns during the pre-season, our O line was not at the top of the list. It is now.

Yes, DEN defense was fierce, but OAK can bring it up front too. The only way this game becomes a major adventure is if we once again cannot run the ball and then let the edge come crushing in on Flacco. We need to control the line of scrimmage on offense and just play decent. Our D should get the job done.

One would think that Carr is very questionable for this game. I'm going to stop short of saying that this game will be easier if we see their backup, McGloin. We've seen too many instances where backups come in and surprise.

Surely they can but unlike Denver their secondary cannot. Judging by the Bengals game Andy Dalton tore up their secondary and the middle of their defense was totally free.

What makes it easy for Denver to blitz was how great of a pair of CBs they have. Truly World-Class. I got to give credit to Aqib Talib, that guy is a monster.

I don't see any comparison with Oakland and Denver's defense quiet honestly.

Suggs is out, Z Smith is the only backup listed on the depth chart and no one backing up Z. Smith. Also LT, Monroe may still out so that is another place of possible need. Hopefully, we all know better than to look pass any NFL team on any given week. Need to take Oakland serious!

Courtney Upshaw will fill in.....

McClellan can play OLB in a pinch, he was on  the field a lot in Denver. Had the huge sack where Peyton went flying.

Dumervil is the only established pass rusher. Mosley collected 2 yesterday and Jernigan has flashed. We'll see.

The thing that excites me the most is the trio of

Jernigan Williams Davis

Williams is the best run stuffer in the league. Its a shame he doesn't get more pass rush.

Derek Carr is not expected to play for this game, so at least we got that going for us...

i have no clue who their back up is. I was happy for a moment thinking it was Matt schuab...

look I'm pretty confident we will win this game.

it will be about our defense and its unlikely flacco will be as abused ( or the wr's) by a defense as good as the broncos.

outisde of mack..no one else on the raiders team would have many snaps as a starter for the broncos.

Carr's getting an MRI for his hand, if he can't go it's Matt McGloin - who has experience starting and wasn't all that bad against the Bengals. There's also talk about the Raiders being in contact with Christian Ponder, who was with them in preseason.

Its only Monday but it is looking like Carr wont play and they could be missing 3 secondary starters in D.J. Hayden (ankle), Charles Woodson (shoulder) and Nate Allen (Knee).  Regardless of the injuries the Ravens should win, but the Raiders will be pretty banged up and this would be the perfect time to get the offense on track and have Z'darius Smith and Courtney Upshaw play more snaps to get them ready

At least in theory. I think back to the games vs. PIT ... so happy that Ben was out and we got Batch, Leftwich or Dixon. Then all of those games ended up being either nail biters or losses. I was at the game when Cousins came in for an injured RGIII and beat us.

Yeah, I know this is different ... any game against PIT is a world unto its own. I just hate making the assumption that every backup QB that comes in is automatically going to stink on ice. I've no idea who this McGloin guy is. He might be tragic. However, I prefer to assume he'll be a threat until we prove we can neutralize him.

In the end, he will only be as dangerous as our offense allows him to be. By that I mean, if the offense functions even marginally well, I can't see him being able to put up enough to beat us. However, if we go out and stink it up again on that side of the ball and keep them in the game, then you open yourself up to something unexpected happening. We cannot allow that to happen.

if we struggle to get anything going against oakland and indeed lose this game..i think we may have to make a trade on the offensive side of the ball.

they will be missing most of their secondary.

no excuses.OUtside of khalil mack there is nothing that compares to the ferocity of that denver d line

Malik Jackson Shane Ray Von Miller Demarcus ware? With chris Harris and Talib in the secondary?

thats not fair...and thats without freaking Tj ward.

The thing about the Raiders is they have a pretty solid OL. Donald Penn is old but he's a great LT and they have Jackson next to him who was also a good player for them. Hudson is at center and he's been a good player as well for KC. Howard is at RT and I've always liked how  he played RT. The weakest link is hypothetically Webb. I know the Raiders didn't have a good game yesterday, but who knows how good the chemistry is with the new OL they built. It could be better or worse. I do think their OL is possibly as good as Denver's, but we should be able to control the LOS for their offense. Their defense has a lot of potential but it's also young as well and could be susceptible outside of Mack, who is a freaking monster and has Justin Tuck across from him. They also have NT Dan Williams as well, and he's been a pretty good player historically. I do like their CB DJ Hayden, but the rest of the secondary is a bit suspect with Woodson & Allen both getting injured in this past game.

We must stop the run and prevent Latavius Murray from getting yards and do what the Broncos did to us to win this game. I think this is a very do-able win for us.

I wouldn't complain if we made a trade using anything below a 3rd round pick. It's OBVIOUS that we need a good WR. Giants already have OBJ, think they'd mind lending us Victor Cruz?...

Ouch, really? That's certainly a blow for their defense. And that poor guy, he just can't stay healthy. Sheesh. People talk about injury-prone CBs.

i was pretty happy with our defense sunday. if our defense shows up the same way they did (even without suggs), i have a pretty good feeling about this game. i'm still a bit worried about the o-line but really everyone seems pretty worried about that at this point.

I've said this before but if Perriman still hasn't been cleared to run - he is doing little more than jog in place - he won't be back soon.

So theres at least 20 more ''blessed'' days until he's probably going to have a reasonable shot of playing.

wasted pick..didnt like the pick anyway but now it's just compounded.

Andy Dalton carved the Oakland defense up. If we can't put up points here - I will be seriously concerned.

Dalton has a decent O-line a good tight end and three good WR's. Right now we only have 1/3 of that.

Don't want him. He's not even playing football right now, and I wouldn't touch that contract.

No thanks.
