Who to start, Who To sit

324 posts in this topic

Incidentally, I did.

I have Shady and Karlos Williams on the same team and played them both last week when they killed Miami. Thought that's not going to happen vs Jets and decided to sit McCoy, since I figured Williams is more likely to score. I played Forsett, Langford and K. Williams at flex.

You were right about the TD

Hope you didn't bench McCoy.

I didn't in the end. Sort of feel like I should have benched Marshall though but I guess it's better to have the points in the bag.

2 decisions needed in a PPR league:

Doug Martin, James Starks, or Chris Johnson at RB

Pick 3 out of Julian Edelman, Dez Bryant, Emmanuel Sanders, Allen Robinson, Stefon Diggs, and John Brown at WR.

I agree on CJ2K.  WR is a little more difficult.  Edelman shouldn't be sat.  Sanders should start.  The question is whether to use Diggs or Bryant.  Bryant isn't completely healthy at this point, but I'd still use him.  I don't think the point difference will be much different even if Diggs does a bit better.

So, Dez, Edelman, Sanders and CJ2K is my call.

Not sure whether Emmanuel sanders will be playing or not. Supposed to be a game time decision. I flexed him so if he doesn't play I have to choose between Vernon Davis , Ryan Mathews and chanderick west. Any thoughts? If I go with Mathews I've only got 20. Minutes to decide lol

I could also replace Crockett gillmore with Vernon Davis but I'm kinda reluctant to do so. Vernon still isn't very familiar with that offense and was only targeted once last week when Owen Daniels lit it up.

What do you guys think of our Ravens D @home vs the Rams? I'm considering giving them a chance this week. Other options I have are Titans D @JAX on thursday night and the Texans D @NYJ.

Texans play at home vs Jets.

You don't have much to work with, tbh. Texans should be your choice but cross fingers they can follow up on last week vs terrible Dalton showing.

The Ravens D is a bit risky. The Rams offense is kinda bad so they might not put up much points, but our defense likely won't create that many turnovers or sacks. Plus there's always the chance of Gurley going into beast mode.

I say go for the Texans D.

Chris givens against his former team or Michael Floyd who has a pulled hammy against cinci ?

Also Jeremy Langford or Gio Bernard ?

Forte will probably be back but Langford will still get his share of snaps seein as how he's been killing it lately and Gio already shares snaps with Jeremy hill and there up against Arizona .... Thoughts?

I actually like the Ravens D home against Keenum in an offense that can't exploit the passing D. I'm using them as a cheap DFS play this week.

I like Givens as a yolo play this week with Floyd injured. Far from a sure bet though.

Our track record with backup QBs doesn't exactly inspire confidence. I like our ability to stop Gurley though but I still don't see a bunch of turnovers for us.

We may get a couple sacks and a turnover but I do not see a crazy high score from the defense. Should be a safe pick but I do not see much upside

I'm trying to pick two guys out of three options to be my WR 1 and Flex player. WR 2 was already taken by Hurns (who turned out to be a bust this week). I've got:

Larry Fitzgerald vs Bengals' D

Jarvis Landry vs Dallas' D

Demaryius Thomas vs Bears' D

Pretty sure I'll use Fitz in the extra WR slot, but I'm not sure who to choose between Landry and Thomas for the Flex spot.

Tough call between the two, but I might actually go with Thomas. Brock Osweiler was force feeding Thomas with 8 targets in less than one and a half quarters so his arrow may not be pointing down with Peyton Manning on the sidelines. Granted that Denver was behind, but it was more than double the amount of looks with Manning under center. That being said, if your league is PPR, it'd be difficult to bench Landry given his steady number of receptions. I don't know if you can go wrong either way.

It's not PPR, it's a standard league, and I was thinking the same thing with Thomas. He could get force fed the ball. Also, the Bears passing defense is worse than the Cowboys. Yeah, guess I'll go with Thomas.

Think the Rams will fare nicely against us? Hate to use an opposing defense but the Ravens are usually good for a couple of turnovers

Yeah, I'm starting the Rams defense against us. They're a defense that's pretty good at getting sacks and creating turnovers.

Can't decide who to start at RB and FLEX this week. The RB's I can't decide between are McCoy, Gurley, West and Ivory. I need 3 out of those 4.

You should always start Gurley. As for the others, I'd say go with Ivory and West.

I went with Gurley, McCoy and West. Was a toss up between Ivory and McCoy.

That one worked out. One of the highest scoring Ds this week.

I only have one QB on my roster and that's Tom Brady and it's not looking good as he goes up against a Buffalo defense in Buffalo.

Some options on the market, Palmer, Tyrod, Kaepernick.

Any suggestions?

I agree with what -Truth- said. I'd still start Brady. But if not him, of who you have named, I'd try Tyrod Taylor. I had him earlier this year and he performed decent. He can throw passes and he can scramble. He should also do quite well in the cold, although that is yet untested, because he did spend considerable time here in Baltimore and Ravens hold practices outside as well as inside at all times of year.

Matt Forte owners should we start or sit him on Turkey Day against GB?

I'm starting him in my league over woodhead ppr. I'm very confident in Forte start him with no regrets.
