[News] Who's Playing, Who's Not vs. Broncos

58 posts in this topic

I don't know, Jackson has been somewhat of a disappointment and James is a little small for a corner(probably brought in to help in special teams). Right now I would rather see Levine or Brooks out there playing corner than bringing either one of those guys back.

Bad news on Melvin and Jernigan. We could definitely use those guys. I'm not really a fan of Harbaugh playing Bill Billacheat and being completely non informative with injury updates. Just let us know how long guys are projected to be out. If it takes longer than expected it's not a big deal. People are still asking what's going on with Perriman. Once you let them know, they will stop asking the same question repeatedly.

without jernigan im not convinced we can stop kubiaks ZBS, without perriman i dont feel good about our wr corps, their cb's are way too good and the only way to beat them is with speed.

I wouldn't consider it bad news on Jernigan, a lot of ppl didn't expect him to even be practicing by now so the fact that he's even a possibility is good news to me. I think he goes but they use him very sparingly.

Well everything rides on how we handle the Broncos D and how difficult we make it for Peyton with our secondary. I think it will be a good game and hopefully we eke out a win.

Usually doubtful means not playing. We'll miss Jernigan, but I think we have the bodies to fill the gap. Melvin out is a problem. If anything happens to Webb (or if he is completely ineffective) it is going to be a long day for the secondary.

Another wasted number one pick. The guy can't even make it to the first game, let alone prove to those who drafted him, that he can catch the ball. Instead of getting defensive help, which we obviously needed last year, here comes this baloney about another wide receiver. They have gone completely insane. Nobody, and I mean nobody, wins without a defense. Ours lost at least 4 regular season games and the playoff to the Parriots, so, what do we do, go out and get a questionable wide receiver. That will show them.

ravens def needs to stop the run and take away peytons short gamr and let him go deep to win.

Problem is - to prevent the short game, you need to press cover. We haven't shown enough confidence with our secondary in recent years to play that way.

I was expecting both of them to play, bad news. Perriman can at least do some walk through drills or something, like Pitta did when he first got back into the groove if things, he should at least be able to jog through routes. His work ethic is questionable.

"healthy" is always great....HOWEVER, has there been enough WD-40 infused into the units in question ?

As far as having "enough to attack Manning"....well, I can attack a pizza pretty darn well, HOWEVER, until I have actually taken that first bite- it really has not been attacked.

Here's hoping Manning is 'bit'- a few times :)

the key to this game will be the offense keeping up with denvers. we know sss will bring it but will marlon kamar and camp do the same. they have to be physical and be aware on downs where flacco will feel pressure so they can break their routes and help him out like sss does so well. te's will have to come up big as well. go ravens!!

Missing Jernigan will hurt. Yes Carl Davis & B Williams will be a force but our rotation wont be as strong when guys get tired. And damn am I frustrated with Perriman. This guy better come out sparks flying when he returns.

Then again our TE group will take the pressure off of our WR's to make every play. We will be fine. Cant wait to see Gilmore & our TE group in action sunday!!

I think stopping the run, well do just fine. Jernigan will be missed in the pass rush.

If all it takes to be considered a wasted draft pick is missing week 1 then you must think ODJ was a wasted pick too...

Why would they let rashaad play after getting injured? It was only a pre-season game, an extreme lapse of judgement on the part of somebody on the staff. An even worse lapse of judgement if rashaad did not report the injury.

Hope the Team brings up/signs another CB. I figure Webb will be injured by halftime. Yet another year of a beaten up secondary.....watch. Then next offseason we can all be talking about the Webb "dead money".

I know it's way too late at this point, but Danny Gorrer is available... I personally would trust him more thn either Asa of James, and he isn't unfamiliar with our D...

That said, he's probably nowhere near playing form.

Tis is going to be about as challenging a debut for Trestman and his O as one gets... No real deep threat to utilize Flacco's arm strength - especially in the mile High's thinner air; no proven backup RB behing Forsett - and it would be a murder to leave Forsett out too much in the thin air...

It's gonna be a long day for our O... that said, the Mile High Miracle game was a long one, too ;)

For those that think we don't have a deep threat have forgotten, Waller had the same 40 time as Tory. He may not be starting but you can bet he'll be on the field at some point.

What's the real story regarding Perriman?!? Seriously...

the real story? a deep bone bruise that takes a long time to heal, just like every other deep bone bruise.
