Week 1 - Baltimore Ravens at Denver Broncos

2,365 posts in this topic

What are you even talking about. We moved a lot of yards, got into their redzone, all while having to convert multiple big downs.

And what did we do with all of that huh ? What are you even talking about. Once PI Call that saved us, a drop in the endzone multiple passes in long down and distances and we checked down for losses or 2 yard gains, oh yeah and did I mention it ended in a pick, what are you so excited about ? Losing. Thats what losers do and how losing cultures are bred, by being satisfied with almost even though there was a lot wrong with that drive.

I can't stand when flacco floats it into the middle of the endzone. Surprised Gilmore got his hands on it. That pass has been picked off plenty of times before.

O-line needs to get it together as well. If the concussion causes Monroe to miss a week or two, then we seriously need to gameplan with consistent pressure coming from Flacco's backside.

In case you didn't notice Joe had 2 seconds to throw . Period

How many times did he get hit today?

How many rushing yards did we have?

How dropped the game winning TD?

Plenty of blame to pass around... It's one game against a great team

Please if smith or Gilmore catch those passes , would you be complaining now .

Well, I'd be happy to be wrong--instead I'm reminding folks of what I said prior to the game being played. And you?

Good no call, I would be pissed if they called that against us. Either way, Denver doesn't scare me at all in the postseason, I think we could beat them comfortably with Perriman and some more experience for the young guys like Gilmore, Maxx, Buck.

Whoever had the idea to get rid of Ngata should be fired. Here is the issue...our backs looked amazing but that Defensive front is trast. We were facing a recently put together line. They had ZERO starters returning this year to my knowlege.

It was right to him . Why complain

Am I wrong or is faceguarding the receiver without thurning around to play the ball, pass interference?

The face guarding rule was changed a couple years back. Its no longer an automatic penalty if you don't look back. However, you still aren't supposed to have hands to the face.

Meh. I predicted 31-17. Much better than expected, but still Trestman showed he ain't no Kubiak and Joe continues to fail when elevating those around him in regular season.

We just played a top 5 defense with no LT and our #2 WR out. Quite the opposite actually Flacco played pretty well while his OL played like crap

Last play was not PI... Can't make that call to end the game and defender didn't impede receiver even though he didn't turn around

Dude its football.  The Broncos didn't do a whole heck of a lot more to prove they deserved to win.

Except making plays and putting together drives when it mattered. Something we didnt. Are you going to sit here and tell me that I should be excited by this loss when we clearly could have one but had so many errors and fundamentals gone awry that we almost looked confused. Why should I be excited, please tell me.

Colts and Broncos are pushovers... the only team that is going to be a serious threat to our title hopes is the Patriots, they still look very dangerous.

Trestman had a vanilla offense

You can't have any other kind of offense without a deep threat and no running game because of a malfunctioning O-line. What would you have done? Throw every play - and fast, because the O-line couldn't stop the pass rush at all today - and let Flacco finish with 6 interceptions?

Nope. We lost because this offense didn't even play OK. They played poorly.

Oh well, we had a chance to win the game and came up empty. Almost does not count. Still, we were not expected to even have a chance to win in the end. Hard fought game, that is all we can ask for. Still proud of how hard the team fought back. Move on to next game and hopefully the offense will be much better next time.

Don't fear Denver at all after this game, would love to play them in the playoffs

Playing Manning week 1 is the worst draw.  If he looks this bad now, wait until December in the cold.  Give us Jernigan to disrupt the middle too.

really? i seem to recall everyone swearing that marlon brown and kamar aiken were the answers to our prayers

Key emphasis on "with any sense". I certainly never thought Brown and Aiken were good enough.

Dude, we just got beat by those "pushovers" and you are talking about titles. We seriously did just lose.

Gillmore is 6'6... Brady does the same thing with Gronk all the time. Crockett and Joe will start to build that rapport and timing with eachother as the season goes on.

It was actually a pretty good look for the TD.  Tough throw no doubt,  but I thought he gave Crockett a great shot at the ball and the DB made a great athletic play to go up and interrupt the pass.

We were facing an elite defense with one of the deepest outside pass rushing groups, which is a tall task. But I seriously hope that we come across a better option in the future than James Hurst as our swing tackle. He has shown seemingly no significant improvement over his performance from last season.

its hard to call plays when your LT gives up instant pressure

its hard to beat coverage when your fastest receiver is not fast at all

its hard to throw when you have no protection and your wrs cant get open

its hard to coordinate a passing game with no talent.

breshad perriman needs o hurry back, and live up to his draft status, or else this offense is done.
