[News] Ravens Facing The Creator Of Their Offense, Gary Kubiak

26 posts in this topic

The Ravens are going to meet the Creator at this match up? I realize that creator-Kubiak is now a mega Broncos fan but lets just hope the  official "Creator" is a mega Ravens fan.

Hopefully Kubiak will do every bit as poorly against his former team this Sunday as he did last year against his other former team. That was painful.

He's working a different system in Denver. Make no mistake this is still Mannings offense, just a little modifying by Kubs.

I'm hoping we can get some early preasure on Peyton! Maybe rattle him enough to get him off his mark. I'm good with where our Offense has gotten over time. Its our Defense that needs to gets a little nastier this year! Emphasis on turnovers !

Yeah but the funny thing about this situation, kubiak will not be able to stop it! This game is gonna send a message to the WORLD! The Ravens are nothing to play with!

Just win....please! The last time we "opened" up in Denver it was a complete disaster and down right embarrassing. Please, don't let that happen again fellas! Win, win, win!

I see Doom, Sizzle, and CJ having a solid game. I also would LOVE to see Jimmy pick off Peyton. Or better yet, any of our CBs. That would be a TREMENDOUS confidence-booster for the secondary because they will need it in Mile High. Let's get this W.

This is going to be a very close game. I think we have the overall edge in personnel but execution and turnovers will determine the outcome. Both teams know each other very well so that isn't a big difference maker.

I think the weakness in Denver's offensive line will prove to be the edge that we exploit. Pass coverage by our linebackers will be the area they try to exploit.

Baltimore 27 Denver 24.

The major area of concern for me are penalties. i would surmise that Denvers' game plan would incorporate baiting D linemen  or D blitz packages into trick snaps.  Suggs had a hard time with that from the rookie refs in the Eagles game.  I also think they will have an unknown player inserted for critical game control.  I hope we can use our knowledge of Kubiaks' system to our advantages...  I did not see Dum in the pre season but hope he can use his talents to disrupt Manning and his slot short routes

Kubiak was right when he said we are “building something great” here in Baltimore....The Broncos will be the first ones to see it. Denver will start a rookie LT and inexperienced Center (Gino got cut) so the Ravens should dominate the trenches when our defense is on the field. The Ravens starting offensive line is intact. I'm depending on them to protect Joe. First games are tough to predict but the Ravens should win this one big in the second half.

Do not try to establish the run game in the 1st half! Justin will bust it open but this is gonna be a shootout! Wanna be "ELITE" you gotta take these dudes down! You hear me Joe?! THe Ravens the only team that can knock these cats out the way! GOTTA TAKE IT!

Peyton will cry for every marginal PI call....and the officials will help him out.

They(The NFL) wanna get Peyton up and running again and wipe out the vision of the Old Man QB he was in last years playoffs. Tough game. We can do it.

That freak game happened because we lost so many of our great players after winning Super Bowl 47 in 2012. We were not as good a team in 2013 while they were the eventual 2013 AFC Champions. Things have changed. Now the shoe is on the other foot. Payback time.

Suggs knows the rules better than the Refs. If the Refs make a joke out of it then blitz Manning like a ton of bricks. Brandon Williams can welcome Peyton back just like Sam Bradford. Sorry bout' that Peyton. You know how it goes...

I dunno I think Mosley and Smith can play sideline to sideline. I'm most concerned about Webb being turned around by Manning.  I think your right tho, if we get to Manning from the DL our secondary should be fine.

The Donkeys have 2 rookies in their offensive line. Their RB's block poorly. Manning was antsy all preseason. We're going to eat them up.

I'm not as sure about the Donkeys defense. That could be a different story. They are talking bad and things may get dirty. They think they are going to be the best defense in the NFL.

You can say this or you can say that all day, but I think there's little doubt that Kubiak will have a bit more knowledge of our offense than other head coaches. I mean, he installed it, for Pete's sake. Yeah, Trestman tweaked it a bit, and I think he even purposefully did whatever he could to confuse Kubiak. But, still, I have to believe that Kubiak Still has a bit of an edge here. He has spent Countless hours over the years working with defensive coordinators trying to figure out things that would be successful in defending against his offense. But, all this is the game within the game. It's the coach's part of the game. Execution ALWAYS plays a Huge part in determining who wins a game. And I think another key in this game is going to be Dean Pees. Does he continue with his "bend but don't break" mind-set? If our CBs play off the receivers giving them a big cushion, I think we're in trouble. Manning's arm strength is deteriorating by the day. Everybody knows that. Oh, sure, he'll throw a few downfield just to try to keep us honest, but I think it's very likely that he will take a page out of Cry Baby Brady's book and go with short, crossing patterns, three step drops, things like that to dink and dunk down the field. The Cheatriots beat us that way last year and until we show teams that doing that against us won't work anymore, I think we'll see a lot of that. All QB's performances diminish when under pressure. We've seen that with Both Cry Baby Brady And Manning. He's going to do everything he can to keep Suggs, Doom, and others out of his face. Pees needs to think about that and do something about it or we could be in trouble. That's what I think anyway.
