Sorry for the delay, I forgot I commish'd this league last year since it ended fairly quick. I sent invites to the all the players from last year. Anyone is welcome to join and it is free.

Rules are the same. You are allowed 2 strikes. Pick needs to be made by Sunday 1 pm (Yahoo rules). Right now the league is slated for a week 1 start. We can bump it to a week 2 start depending on the # people that sign up by Sunday.

Had to go away from my tried and true formula to pick a road favorite this week.

Yeah, I almost went there, but I stuck with what has worked in past years. Not confident, though. Tough week right off the bat.

Week 1 is always tough

Agreed, week 1 is tough again. There are teams that should win but they are mostly on the road and can be in for a surprise.

We are up to 10 players. I also included the prior year winners in opening post so we won't lose track.

I feel as though I should get carry over strikes from last year since I finished with zero.

Nice try.  This isn't Survivor Dynasty.

Is this the same as Eliminator Challenges? I might be interested in joining if that's the case.

Yes, all you have to do is pick one winning team a week and you can't use the same team twice. You get two strikes.

Just join it takes but a couple minutes each week to select a team. The more the merrier.

Sweet, I'm in on Walter Football's EC where the winner wins $350 and I'm really starting to like the Eliminator Challenges/Pick'Em games more so than I am actual Fantasy Football.

I'm in!

I'm getting one of my filthy picks out of the way. I'm about to have a shower anyway, so why not kill two birds with one stone. ;)

Figured I might as well join since it is only 1 pick, who all had the Pats?

The question might be better asked, who all had the Steelers and got one step closer to being eliminated(1 strike away) lol.

I flicked between the Patriots, the Dolphins and even the Bengals, before eventually settling on the Patriots. Betting* against a Bell-less Steelers is as sure a way to go as any. Looks like I was the only one who took them though.

*In a hypothetical, just-for-fun way that in no way intends to contradict United States federal law or the iron fists of the baltimoreravens.com moderating staff.

I'm trying a new strategy this year and I'm also leaning toward the Dolphins but idk, too much can happen I feel. Dolphins can go out and win like most think, but then again week one and Kirk Cousins could go and surprise everyone and lead the Redskins to a victory. Though I'm thinking I should have just went with my gut and chose the Patriots.

The Bears made it interesting for a while but Green Bay worked. Anyone out already? I didn't think there were any major surprises. I didn't pick the Rams, bills, panthers or chargers but I woukdnt have considered any of those games for a survivor pick.

One, Gordo went Indy.  Gabe is still in the air, he picked Dallas.  But it is a two strike league.

A lot of people backing Miami. Not a bad pick considering they were facing Washington side in the middle of a QB mess. I was a little iffy about how their FA signings would cope, especially early on, and how they were on the road.

Looks like we only have one strike so far, but the Giants may hand out a second one.

Yeah washington could have easily won that. I hate backing any road team. But the packers seemed like the surest bet week one.

Yeah I went with Miami myself, didn't want to overthink it as the Washington QB situation was a mess. Game was closer than I thought it would be with Washington getting off to a good start but Miami came through in the end as Cousins struggled(as much as that team likes to blame RGIII for their problems, they aren't going anywhere with Cousins starting).

Survived the first week, guess that is a plus

I like to call these 'not a minus' rather than a plus.

I might have picked Cards too soon but better to be safe than sorry.

Going division matchup, which I hate. May have to talk myself out of it.

I did the same thing. Best match up of a home team.

Considering there are only 3 divisional games this week I'm assuming you guys either picked Buffalo, Philly or KC. I hate divisional matchups too. That's why I wanted to go Miami last week but I trusted Aaron Rodgers and the Pack to beat Chicago more than I trusted Miami to beat Washington.

There is a 4th one and I think beanfigger and ravensdan were talking about Saints over TB.

Oh yeah I forgot about that one lol. Yeah I can see why, I almost went that route but decided to go elsewhere as there is another easy game to pick right.

Breaks two of my rules: no divisional matchups, and never pick a team that has yet to prove it can win this season.
