i think I'm going to miss this game..it will be the first ravens game iv'e missed watching in 4 years.

I just feel it's going to be a hugely disappointing night for us.

I think we will be exposed in so many ways...get injuries..etc

there is something about this game that just reeks a blowout for denver

your going to miss the game by choice or due to a prior engagement?

I think your seriously under-rating OUR team.

Although I Can't act like I'm suprised to hear that. People are seriously putting Denver on a pedastool.

i just think they are a really bad matchup for us.

Missing it by choice. Not in the mood for a 38-12 game.

I think they have a better pass rush..a better secondary a better receiving core etc.

there is something about marc trestman i don't trust too..i feel he's a vastly overrated coach .

I know what you're doing, but you can't fool me. This reverse psychology though. I can dig this.

From what posters have stated about Peyton having trouble with Kubiak's offense and the fact that Peyton is used to calling the plays himself, I'm starting to think that there is, and will remain a lack of chemistry within the team. If true then I think that will greatly help our chances. I believe a team with little chemistry will more than likely have a losing season regardless of the talent they might have. JMO. Then again I might be wrong.

which is exactly why I'm actually glad to catch them week 1. They are stil trying to develop that chemistry, and although Ppl are scared of a fresh Peyton, he won't have had a lot of time to mesh with this new offense and get all the kinks out. They will still be trying to figure out who they are as a team, and Peyton won't have had time to settle down / get comfortable in the new scheme. Meanwhile we are returning with the same style offense , a comfortable joe flacco , and the same offensive line intact.

Id also much rather play in Denver early on in September rather than late November and into December when it gets cold and hard to breathe in that thin air.

I don't see it....  I don't think it's that much of a bad matchup.  It's already been said that Peyton doesn't like the new scheme.

They may have some better players???  But I'm not so sure they are the "right players"...  We've beaten them before.. and we have a lot of the same players still around.

Trestman wasn't a great Head Coach...  He had a head-case QB, and a crap-ton of drama on that team.  When he was an OC, he was one of the best.  I think he'll be that again.  Especially that he and Flacco are getting along so well.

I'll be watching.... No way I'd miss it.

a steelers loss would be better for the ravens though

I fully understand and by the time tomorrow rolls along, I'll be hoping for a Steelers loss even if it means the despicable Cheatriots win.

Sweetness would be for the P*triots to win, but the Steelers beat the snot out of Br*dy

Let's see..do remember he had the GOAT in Jerry Rice...

I could be an O co and be a top 5 offense with him

I actually somewhat agree with your trestman claim. he does seem extremely overrated, and wasnt too keen on his signing back in the preseason. but only time will tell.

I guess I can see that. But most likely Denvers O will stay in lead or at least threatening lead most of the game.

If I had to say who would be the deciding factor, im going to go with your boy gillmore. We can establish a run game early then do some play action across the middle with gillmore and friends we'll open up the sidelines. Between him and Aiken, the big bodies crossing traffic will move chains no doubt. They have a decent pass rush but we can win mismatches vs their lbs on the second level. They will double/ triple steve smith and no one else has burners to open up top. No need to play shootout, because I guarantee Denver will come out running and playing conservative and ready to go full out blazing board if necessary. So thats the case, we'll have a huge chance at winning and can beat them at their own game without letting it slip out of our control.

If our secondary flutters and Sanders and Thomas decide to play backyard football, its over.

lol I agree that my boy Gillmore will be a big factor as well. Him and camp will have to do some damage over the middle. After beating them up on the inside for a while we may be able to slip brown or maybe even SSS deep down the sideline for a big play or 2. Sucks not being able to utilize perriman, but we gotta roll with what we've got. I thought about it and originally I thought we should just stick to ravens football and do what we do, but I also think you may be right when you said we may have to beat them at their own game.

That's twice we've agreed in the same week, imagine that.

if perriman was playing this week, i would say our chances of winning grow at least 20-25%, only because it would open up our plays incredibly. SSS will be shut out early, but if we get our TE's across the middle early SSS will pop up later in the game for sure.

Then you could say the same for Bellichek...  He was a great coach because he had Br*dy.

Or any other OC or Coach that has a GOAT, for that reason...

Not to mention the added frustration of losing their first game of the season at home.  BWAHAHA!!!

THIS is why we call you EDD.

Embodiment of

Death and

Despair

Have some faith in your team. True Fandom is measured by how the fan reacts to adversity.

Only watching a game when you think we'll win is almost the definition of bandwagoning.

Heck I thought Ohio State would blow out Va Tech this past Monday but I still watched a good chunk of it.

I'll be working Sunday so I can't watch the Ravens game sadly but there is no way I am missing the season opener if I am free.

Almost?  It absolutely is.  There are some fans who don't watch or follow the team, but would be the first in line to get tickets for the Super Bowl celebration.....

I think we all knew Sami was a bandwagon fan. That sorta confirms it. I'm not even sure they're a fan but I'm not qualified to say.

We need to get pressure on Peyton. No pressure and it will be a tough day.

I think Joe can put up some points against Denver but they will probably stack

the box with us not having a fast deep threat to stretch the field.. Perriman ,where are you?

This is a big  potential problem for our run game. Torrey might have limped some but he was

not injury prone .

A win here in Denver could really get us off to a great start.

Hoping the Patriots go 1-15 on the season with their only victory against the Steelers tomorrow.

How immensely wonderful would that be? Other than us winning the SB, that is the next outcome I would die for!

I for one am very excited for this game. There are a lot of question marks on Kubiak's offense. I know what our team can get out of Peyton. I am confident he can play with what he has. I want to see what we've got out of our running unit. I want to see CJ Anderson flourish.

Defensively I am tremendously excited to see Wade Phillips' group with Miller and Ware back in their respective Pass-Rush positions. We started the preseason with 7 sacks from 7 different players I do believe. So Wade appears to be mixing it up out there.

I will admit I haven't seen much of Baltimore lately. But I respect Harbaugh's teams too much to expect it to be an easy win. I am with those on the board that predict a low game.

Denver: 17

Baltimore: 10
