Aside from the 3 TE's on the roster and two on the PS i think we have two many, we could use a RB seeing we don't know the extent of Taleferio's imjury......

so that james guy wasn't signed after all?

that's good, b/c we need another PR/KR besides camp, he can't stay healthy.

Toussaint will be asked a lot of questions by the Steelers ("tell us the difference between last year and this year practices", "What about the playbook?" etc.), and then let go.

Glad Dan Brown is back too...Harbs knows he has a guy who can and will play special teams(blocked punt), which could factor into him eventually getting a call up and taking advantage of his big target if someone goes down or something

By my count, that's would 11 on the PS if we counted him. It was being reported as fact, and even LFW today reported "fun-loving Charles James on his way to Baltimore" ... but this isn't adding up so I'm confused.

I am the first to agree with you on Steelers skulduggery, but I think because of Bell's suspension they have a legit need for another RB.....once Bell is back or someone steps up, your right, they will cut him. Shame too, he seems like a pretty good RB. GO RAVENS!

Could be, but I thought they'd have to have put Brent on the IR and moved him from the PS officially, before signing this new group to the PS.

I could be wrong, but I won't be surprised to see Ross out there Sunday afternoon in Denver starting as our kick off/punt return player. We signed him for no other reason.

Brown could be a nice addition eventually if given time to adjust to NFL speed. Seems to run excellent routes and has good hands. Maybe a Stokely-like guy (only 6 inches taller).

If you mean Charles James, CB from the Texans - apparently not.

Another indication why we shouldn't take the truth value of any news for granted until the official announcement.

Did anyone pick up Nelson or Magee?

As far as I know, not. And I don't expect that to happen. Tom Nelson had a couple of really nice grabs - but overall, he didn't shine so much that would warrant invitations. And as for Magee, there are still veteran RB's out there.

James is going directly to the 53 after Urban is sent to IR. He will end up being our 4th CB...Ross will stay PS as insurance policy..

He could only talk about the "general" playbook, which isn't worth an awful lot without the specific game plan - and he doesn't know that. So, even if we assume such things happen (BTW, we could have just as well signed one of their rejects to our PS, do the same and then let him go the next day... why don't you think we did it? And why isn't that an everyday thing in the NFL?), the steelers wouldn't be too much wiser. I don't think Toussaint could tell them too many things they don't already know...

(PS: we could have done the same with this Jones guy, the TE formerly with the Broncos.. ;D)

Is that a fact or mere speculation?
