Week One Discussion (Other Teams)

I would never use a steelers kicker. Kicking in Pittsburgh is horrible. In fact if you ever wager on games the under for longest field goal there especially later on is a good bet.

That was always on my mind.  Heinz field is the toughest place to kick.  But with the amount of kickers getting drafted before the last round and the number of kickers getting cut, I decided to start the season with Scobee against the Pats.  Seem like a good kicker for week 1.  I'm never married to the kicker I draft more than a couple weeks.

Why don't the Steelers sling the ball around? They're trying to run their same offense without Leveon Bell, doesn't make any sense to me. Williams has been decent but they aren't going to win this game playing conservative.

Scobee is terrible, they have to be worried about close division games where FG accuracy is crucial. Wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't have a job next week.

Exactly, it's not like they didn't know they were going to have to put up a lot of points if they were going to win this game. They claimed they were going to be this high flying offense but have yet to show it. Their winning formula is Ben putting up ridiculous numbers. Edited by Cville-Raven

Well they are going to have to start slinging soon, maybe we'll find out why they haven't been.

Yeah I get it. I've had scooby before too and he always underperforms. I usually just go for the best offense in a dome available. Lol

Was scooby one of the jags kickers in the fondue incident?

So how's that CB they wanted in the 2nd round working out for them

On the IR with a torn labrum... what about Boykin though? Hasn't made the slightest difference so far, Chip Kelly is smarter than people give him credit for

If he was healthy, he'd probably be the best CB on their team.

to be fair the steelers are without 3 starters on offense (that i know of): Bryant, Pouncey and Bell, don't get a big head about their offense doing terrible...

I agree but their defense looks even worse than last year. I think Joe & co. will shred them

And to think people were picking these Steelers for the SB, how could you choose a team with a defense as bad as theirs

No matter what these homer pundits are going to continue to do it! That is just the way it's been.

picking on their 2nd round pick is a bit cheap, nobody could have predicting he would get injured. Now their 4th rounder that got cut is another story altogether

oh, no argument here. Their D is even worse than we thought, I'm just talking about their "high powered offense." After they get blown out its easy to count them out but Bryant and Bell are two key starters

I hate the Cheatriots a lot. I mean a lot especially after all their cheating scandals and Tom Fraudy. But, I must say I'm really enjoying the Steelers get beat!

Ludy said that because we moved ahead to grab Maxx before the Steelers, yet the Steelers claimed they had wanted the CB the entire time and weren't planning on taking Williams.

All of a sudden tomorrow, tickets will be available for every Steelers home game. I can see their (bandwagon)fans jumping off the bandwagon already.
