I bet that weasel Chip Kelly who Wouldn't kick to our players to help us sort them out, who ran short practices to make his team look better in a preseason game, who needed weeks of remedial training to know when his QB could be hit will steal Renner from us.

I wish Asa Jackson would have had a better preseason. I really was pulling for him.

Well, in fact that would have been even worse: if he has a good camp, stays, and makes those fumbles and bad decisions in real games...

I believe most of the guys that were cut yesterday are practice squad candidates including the first few that were released today. I expect Brown, Pointer, Renner, Butler, Beyer to be practice squad candidates. Some of them will clear the waivers today by the time the final cuts have to be announced. This will give the Ravens a good idea as to their practice squad players which in turn will tell them who it s they can realease for the final 53.

Reports are that Kelly wants to sign Christian Ponder, Minion. Renner will probably make it to our PS. The rest of your post I agree with lol.

Yeah, Harbaugh's personnel policy has been the downfall of the Ravens ever since he got here... no wonder the Ravens only made the playoffs 6 times in 7 seasons, and only won a meager 1 Super Bowl...

Man what happened to Butler? Everyone was raving about him earlier doing training camp. I don't get it. It's not like he was awful or even played poorly and he did show great potential.

Explain the pattern your seeing? Who was cut that surprised you? Everyone that has been cut has been anticipated. And SSS could stay in Baltimore as long as he wanted, we love that guy. Suggs is a type A as well. Your logic doesn't make much sense I don't think.

Nothing happened to him - he's just not in the best 6 WR's we currently have - and having 7 WR's would take a spot from another position.

You see, cuts at this point don't necessarily happen because a player wasn't good. When you have more than 53 roster-worthy players, you have no choice but cut some of the players you wouldn't otherwise cut.

I'm pretty sure another team will grab him or he will end up on the practice squad. I'm hoping he makes the practice squad we may need him later.

The Panthers are a team desperate for WR's... So he may not clear waivers... Butler IMO played better than Waller did... but Waller has a higher ceiling or was more likely to be claimed off of waivers in the Raven's eye... so it's a calculated risks...

Everyone knew (except pundits and national media commentators)that throughout training camp we had a big battle of quality Wrs that would serve as the#3, #4, #5, #6 for this team. Even down to D.Brown showing up big on thur night. IT was a really tough decision Im sure based on the overall level that they were all playing at. Then mix in the Injury Bugs with Campanaro and co and we complicate it even more because you have to keep guys because of a "feeling" you have. Its a tough job but at the end of the day i have to trust a coach that takes us to the Playoffs almost every year, giving us a chance to get to the big dance. We knew it would come down to this and come down to letting guys go when you dont really want to 100%. I trust our Coaches and Brass to do the best job....as always

pay him no mind. I'm really starting to question whether he's really a ravens fan or not, bc I have yet to see 1 positive post. Nothing but trashing our players , coaches , and Ozzie.

Ah, it's well established that 'crusader' is a steelers troll. Only way to weed them out is to starve them of the attention they came here looking for. Dont even bother negging, just ignore him/her.

DO the Ravens look at picking up a player like Reggie Wayne, Hakeem Nicks, Jonas Gray, Jacoby Ford? and move someone to IR/DTR? maybe Perriman, Tallifero or Urban should be moved to DTR to open up the spot. Then once the season is under way things could become a bit clearer.

Thanks reed20fence! The steelers trolls are just pests the Patriots trolls are horrible, but usually their usernames or comments are so terrible they get kicked and banned immediately.

Wayne and Nicks are done according to knowledgeablebbeat writers. Gray is intriguing and wasaa previous Ravens camp guy, but the 200 yard game may be a fluke any RB could have accomplished. Ford I don't know. Maybe Ozzie will work something out with Detroit because they have an overabundance of high quality running backs. At least that is my hot take theory. Friendly relations there.

Well, I'm not sure about either one of them being done. But, neither had a QB named Joe. With Steve Sr. the #2 becomes another #1, which in essence are both #1's for the Ravens. Experience in the NFL is big. Especially to start the season. Not saying its the only option just possible. We almost don't know who is going to step up and shine.
