My Annual 2015 Predictions and Final AFC North Standings

568 posts in this topic

Here are my predictions. Why not?

@ Denver = W

@ Oakland = W

vs. Cincinnati = W

@ Pittsburgh = W

vs. Cleveland = W

@ San Francisco = W

@ Arizona = L

vs. San Diego = W

vs. Jacksonville = W

vs. St. Louis = W

@ Cleveland = W

@ Miami = L

vs. Seattle = W

vs. Chiefs = W

vs. Pittsburgh = W

@ Cincinnati = L

Look 13-3 there we go! I based this prediction using the KFC secret recipe, combining it with some of McDonald's special Big Mac sauce, with a computer algorithm written in Java using a scientific interface that implements the brain of Walt Disney, Vince Lombardi, and Albert Einstein after consulting with Stephen Hawking and John Madden then plugging this special algorithm into Madden 16 and running it, which produced this result.

I can tell you why your prediction is way off. You forgot the ketchup !

Reading comprehension.  I never said anybody fills Ngata's void.  I did say Ngata leaving doesn't make the entire d-line "unproven and unskilled".  Arguing something I didn't say doesn't make you right.

And yes, if our offense will be as bad as you predict, then it would be poor coaching to not kick it out the endzone and force Baltimore to go 80 yards each time.  You're sitting here acting like it's a guarantee that the kick returner either runs to the 10 yard line and stops or fumbles each time.  But like the rest of us, you don't even know for sure who the returner is right now.  And for some reason you act like good blocking in the return game won't make even a mediocre return man look better

I must have missed something. Who is the mediocre return guy?

I'm sorry but IMO without Ngata our d-line is unproven and unskilled. In the past few years everything our d-line did played off Ngata, He was the rock that anchored and cemented things. Ngata never got hurt. He brought his lunch to the trenches.  I don't believe Williams and Jernigan combined are as skilled as Ngata. If Jernigan even plays Sunday that will never be more evident.

Game prediction -- Denver's defense almost shuts us out  35-10. If I'm wrong I will apologize and catch the next plane out of the country.

I just to prove I am the Schwaami tonights game will be an easy victory for the Pats who are gonna come out with a big chip on their shoulder and simply eat the Steelers lunch. 31-7 Patriots.

Well, it wouldn't take a wizard or a rocket scientist to predict a Patriots victory over the Squeelers tonight.

That being said, even a wicked troll from Pittsburgh or Cincinnati would not be so bold as to make suchan evil prediction for our beloved Ravens' final record. So, stand up and identify yourself! Are you a wizard or a troll? And supposing you are a "wizard", your wizard certification should be immediately

revoked. Even if you are a WIT, that is a Wizard in Training, you should have more faith in The Wizard of Oz. Remember, "In Oz we Trust". In order for the Ravens to wind up with a final record of 5-11, they would have to go 1-7 in the second half of the season after going 4-4 in the first half. Given the

unbelievably poor scheduling by the NFL, going 4-4 in the first half is a very real scenario,

especially with 5 of our first 7 games on the road. Hopefully, we will exceed your expectations and be 5-3 at the halfway mark and go 6-2 in the second half. Realistically, I think 10-6 will be a

stretch, given the strength of schedule and the unfavorable scheduling by the league.

I hope you didn't say the bolded with a straight face.  Ngata has been hurt every season from 2009 to 2014.  If your argument is supposed to be that he hasn't missed too many games then that's one thing, but he's been injured regularly, he just plays through it which actually has reduced his play the last few non PED seasons.

If you think a guy who's contemplated retirement because of all his injuries since the 2012 season is never hurt (link below) then you're nuts.

Ok well you are talking semantics. He is a warrior and played through his injuries and because of that IMO irreplaceable. It will show this Sunday but hey I've been wrong before.

Not really off that much. 21-0 at the half , missed the Pats score by 3 points and and the Steelers last second touchdown doesn't count. Considering the line was 4 points I would say I pretty much nailed it.

I am listed in the International Wizard Index. However lets stick to predictions and based upon all available facts, personnel and schedule sadly I have to stand by mine. Our team has the best LB's in football and a truly elite QB and a formidable O-line ( if they can stay healthy ) but without challenging WR's , an uncertain and unhealthy d-line, while pinning our hopes on Forsette ( what if he gets injured god-forbid), and a makeshift secondary -- things look grim.

I'm not here to start no trouble -- I just want  to do the Superbowl shuffle!! :argdancingravensblueonbvx4:

Patriots/NFL cheated the steelers

When will the Patriots organization be brought to justice? They seem to be able to get away with just about anything, can't stand that team!

I hope we demolish them in the playoffs!

Go Ravens.

Patriots/NFL cheated the steelers

I thought a lot of calls went to the Patriots when they shouldn't have, but let's not pretend missing the first field goal, missing a wide open touchdown because of no boundary awareness, and having no communication on defense didn't hurt the Steelers more. Their team looked lost out there on defense in a scheme that's supposed to be so simple.

Good thing is, neither team looked impressive and if that's how the Patriots are going to be all year, I love the chances of the Ravens besting them

After careful research based on certain scientfic priciples and known facts, I have formulated my somewhat famous and usually amazing predictions for the AFC North and the 2015 season and they are as follows, The Ravens are in a sharp decline, Flacco has no real deep threat. I believe Perriman will end up being an injury-prone washout. Our secondary is weak and good back-up personnel is non-exsistent. Our defensive line is pourous without Nagta and we don't have enough good healthy defensive line players for the shuffle in and out theory to be affective. We remain with excellent linebackers and a strong offensive line if they can stay healthy. Based on this the Ravens will finish 3rd in the AFC North behind the dreaded Bengals and Steelers with the Bengals winning the division. Here is how I believe our schedule will play out.

Week 1 at Denver will be a loss

Week 2 at Oakland will be a win.

Week 3 Home Opener with Cincinnati will be a loss.

Week 4 At Pittsburgh will be a loss.

Week 5 Cleveland at home will be a win.

Week 6 At Niners will be a loss.

Week 7 at Phoenix will be a loss.

Week 8 San Diego at home will be a loss.

Week 9 Bye

Week 10 Jacksonville at home will be a win.

Week 11 St. Louis at home will be a win.

Week 12 at Cleveland will be a loss.

Week 13 at Miami will be a loss.

Week 14 Seattle at home will be a loss.

Week 15 Kansas City at home will be a loss.

Week 16 Pittsburgh at home will be a win.

Week 17  at Cincinnati will be a loss.

There you have it sports fans We have a down year and finish at 5 and 11. Cincinatti wins the division at 12 and 4. Pittsburgh finishes at 10 and 6 and does not get a wild card. Cleveland is only able to go 3 and 13.

The sleeper team in the AFC will be the Buffalo Bills who will go to the Super Bowl on the strength of the amazing transformation of Tyrod Taylor.

Call me a clairvoyant or genius if you like but most people just call me Wizard!

IMO>We should hope you are not clairvoyant. I do not see losses to the Bengals, Niners, SD, Cleveland, Miami and Seattle.

Instead I hope for 11-5 and a re match for AFC playoffs with the Pats. You should never have donned a Wizard title.  You are taking the team too lightly and did not account for SSS last dance, the emergence of Camp, Croc, Maxx, Aiken/Brown/Waller return of Dennis and late season play from our own #18..  nor a good D that gains its' footing.  Are you a secret Bengals fan???

Yes...  Your view is spot on.  However, Brady's return was an emotional rally point for their offense and team in general. It stuns me how their organzation finds the right player for their system.  Edelman, Amendola and Gronk are consistent threats

I mean, that's just it- they found players that fit their system really well, kinda like Seattle with their secondary. If Edelman or Amendola were on different teams, they'd still be useful and play well, but the Patriots have the perfect system in place to mask deficiencies and maximize strengths for those type of guys.

And Gronk... well, he's just Gronk

When was the line 4 points? It certainly hasn't been that since the DeflateGate ruling and I don't even think it was ever that low before that.

At kickoff, most lines were around 7 - 7.5 in favor of NE. I don't know a single book that offered NE -4 in the last week.

So I heard Peter King has picked us to play the Packers in the Superb Owl? Last time, a well known media person picked us to play the Packers in the Superb Owl, we actually ended up getting there. It also helps that the last two times we played the Eagles (preseason counts in this case), we made it to the AFC Championship? Looking good for us, folks. But will these signs come true?

Chris Mortensen picked us over the Packers in the SB as well.

Adam Schefter has us losing to Philly in the SB.

That's interesting. If Bradford stays healthy the entire season, then they could make some noise in the playoffs based on what we saw in the preseason.

I'm a Raven and will always be.

I like the Bengals but only because Marvin Lewis is their coach.

I appreciate your optimism  and on some level I share it, however, I am also a realist and IMO SSS last dance is not the emotional advantage that Ray Lewis provided us, Furthermore when you talk about the emergence of all those guys sounds like something you pulled out of a box of lucky charms. Dennis Pitta is probably done. Campanaro can't stay healthy.  Waller is a ? and will see very little actual game time and certainly not in the first 4 games. #18 hasn't practiced  and assuming his injury is not part of a bigger injury issue ( which is a big assumption ) will not be up to game speed for at least a couple more weeks. Maxx has been hurt since he made that big first down. Crocket Gilmore is going to be a star in this league.  Aiken and Brown are average run of the mill WR's. that to this point have shown no superstar potential and definitely not a huge concern for opposing defenses to fun past anybody.

Keep up the positive thoughts-we need them!

I doubt he plays though.

True, however I just read an article stating he available to play this weekend because he hasn't been suspended by the league.

Something tells me that suspension is coming down in a hot second.
