My Annual 2015 Predictions and Final AFC North Standings

We have no running game as it looks like Forsette is not playing. Without that no way we can put up 27 or even 21 points and besides no matter how many points we put on the board  The Niners are going to score more.

Haha, Forsett has put up 270 yards in two weeks, Cut him!

Actually the niners aren't in that much of a shambles. They do have some dis-array there but it is a different kind than we do. Theirs comes from a new coach who is finding his footing and a bunch of off-season craziness. Ours comes from a GM who thinks he can plug holes left by Pro Bowlers with sub par replacements and a coach who is clearly losing control of his team.

Your right, what was i thinking, has nothing to do with a QB who dont need no stinkin mechanics, whats that!  Not to mention they cant even use torrey, at all....

You guys keep using this word. I do not think it means what you think it means.

(Inconceivable!)

Disillusioned is - having lost one's ideals, illusions, or false ideas about someone or something; disenchanted . I know exactly what it means and certainly applys to some fans who wont face reality. However I have proven to be spot on over the years in my anologies and predictions so I don't feel I have to defend my wiz-dom on the other hand I do love being questioned by a guy named beanfigger.

harbaugh and Ozzie are two of the best in the league. That's not being disillusioned that's fact. The numbers back it up. It's always the fans that want instant gratification that start throwing out accusations and wanting to fire everybody the first sign of adversity. Teams that take that type of approach end up like the Browns, Dolphins , and lions, etc. and they end up in complete sabotage. teams that display patience end up like the packers, Patriots , and Ravens. (Successful)

We have obviously gotten a lot younger ( another fact that can't be denied) and it takes time for young players to develop. Just bc it doesn't happen right away and we have one down year ( a year in which we are only 5 games in mind you) doesn't mean you jump ship and do some major overhaul. It's extremely premature to even be discussing this at this point. That's not being disillusioned that's called being rational.

Love your loyalty bruh. I'm a loyal dyed in purple raven fan for life but this isn't about loyalty this is about " playing like a Raven " and all of what that term implies. We are not playing that way this year and no matter how many excuses you want to throw out there it is completely unacceptable to be the doormat of the devision and to be the laughing stock in the NFL..

Somebody has to, and will be held accountable. It starts with the coaching staff. The rumor is already out there that John may be going to USC. True or not last year was there ever such a rumor floating around. As our team continues it's downward spiral it's inevitable that changes are made. It Happens.

"spot on" being debatable, obviously.

Most of the time, that means you make sure to point out the times that you were right to everybody, but do everything possible to ignore the times that you were wrong (of which we can prove there are several).

For what its worth, you are actually 3-2 on your game predictions on this thread alone. Not exactly impressive...

Actually, yes, there was a rumor...

It doesn"t matter if the rumor is true but remember how in happened in SF with Jim ? There was just a rumor that he had a split in the locker room and then he was gone. Would there have been even a hint of a rumor like this last year or in any other year for that matter. The only way to quell the trouble brewing is to win and that's something we won't do again before the bye. We are a dis-organized frustrated football team right now and with each loss guys start getting mad. Then the rumbling and grumbling. Then the divisions in the foundations appear and the cracks turn into fissures.

Those who do not remember the past are condemned to repeat it.

No, I'm saying rumors happen regardless of record. When you're winning, there are rumors that you will go elsewhere, and when you are losing, there are rumors that you will go elsewhere.

When you're basing your assessment on somebody potentially leaving based on a rumor that is unsubstantiated by literally anybody, then you've already failed. It really doesn't matter if the rumor turns out to be true or not.

You do realize that I, somebody who has no football insider information whatsoever, can just consistently float a rumor that John Harbaugh is leaving for USC next year, and according to your logic, you MUST take that seriously based on the fact that we are not winning games?

Take a step back and think about just how ludicrous of a concept that is.

Just make sure you don't shy away from the boards this time next year, when the FO staff and HC are identical to what you see now. I have a sneaky suspicion you will, because its rare for people to actually man up and stand accountable for the predictions they make when those predictions are dead wrong.

Yeah!  Like you didn't own up to the fact that your prediction was wrong about Tyrod not being a "starting" QB in the NFL and that he wouldn't be in the league next season.  You were clearly wrong on BOTH accounts but never came back in here to acknowledge that.

Couldn't help myself with that one Jacket. :DB)

So, ignoring the spelling you used, if one has lost their illusions and false ideas, that means they are thinking rationally. Therefore, it means exactly the opposite of how you were using it. You even gave the definition that proves that. You either meant "illusioned" or "delusional ". Sounds good, though, right?

Perhaps.  I'm just flying back from Hawaii.  It's been a long travel day for me so forgive me if I missed it.  Just having fun in here to stay awake to get the jet lag off of me and get reaclimated to the East Coast time zone. :DB)

Man you got me messed up with some other guy. I have never said one bad word about Tyrod Taylor ever, In fact if you look back at my predictions this year which were out before the season began and in this thread I predicted the Buffalo Bills to be a wild card based on Tyrod being a strong Pro Bowl candidate. Before that when I was against the huge Joe Flacco contract (which I still think is too big of salary cap hit ) ( and a bad investment ) I was suggesting Tyrod should be a better alternative because he is so mobile. Thats a fact jack !

Relying upon memory and could be mistaken, but at one point last year the 49ers were 7-4 and it was about that time the rumors that Jim Harbaugh was "out" began to fly.

They lost their next 4 in a row after that and finished up with a win vs a Palmerless Cardinals to go 8-8.

They had massive attrition and only good 2nds skillfully chosen can save them.

We can't defend the pass, but we have been good against the run.  That Niner QB is a joke. That said I expect Courtney Upshaw to lose the edge about 25 times vs Kaepernick.   Still, if we don't find the heart to beat the 49ers....or if Boldin and Torrey Smith have a statement game against us, I'll concede you are a prophet.

I fully expect us to beat the Niners.

The niners are somewhat of a unknown entity and are going through some growing pains with their first year coach. The problem is we are a complete mess with no offensive continuity and no defensive swagger. All those no equals no way we win in SF.  I'm sure you don't want to hear about the Cardinals do you?

I'm taking the Raven's vs the Niners...........Kaepernick held to under 200 yds passing. No 100 yard runner by them.

I no longer believe we are going to the playoffs, but I'm still taking the season one game at a time. We'll consider the Arizona game afterwards.

However, If we go into San Fran 1-4 and come out 1-5, I would not be surprised to hear big brother Harbaugh is talking with USC.

Here you go I'm going to give you some numbers to consider, 3 and 13. I originally predicted 5 and 11 but after what I've seen and the key injuries which have decimated our spirit the only other games we will will are the Jaguars and the Bengals and we only beat the Bengals because it's the last game of the year and the division and seeding will have already been decided. We will be drafting 3rd or 4th behind Lions , jags , and possibly Dolphins.

I agree with you that Harbaugh will seriously consider moving on because the finger pointing is going to get ugly and things in that locker room can turn quickly.. I don't believe Harbaugh will be fired although I would totally support a complete change of regime. I do believe OZ is all but out of here and Pees is definitely gone sometime this year maybe at the bye when we are 1 and 7.

It has to get ugly before it can get uglier and we are not at the ugly point yet even tho some of our performances have been downright HIDEOUS!

LMAO!

Reading some of the crap in this thread would think the Ravens had been out scored by 5 TDs in every game. I hope folks see it for what it is.

there's only a few ppl in Ravens nation who are that naive.

Harbaugh already put the usc rumors to rest. We could go 1-15 and it wouldn't even be a thought. We are building something here- and if you think one *potential* losing season is going to derail that you are sadly mistaken. We are 5 games in and still haven't been beatin by more than 6. I think overhauling the entire organization is jusssst a bit premature and would do nothing but sabotage our future. Have some patience people. Relax. We are in good hands.

We're only bad because of all the injuries. We haven't just been unlucky, it's downright laughable at this point. We finished the Browns game without Webb, Arrington, Melvin and Davis. That's the next 4 corners behind Jimmy.

Suggs and Doom both out. Smith and Perriman. Pitta and Gillmore.

At one point or another, every game this season we've been without key players and key positions. No team, in any season, any sport and at any level could be successful with the situation we're going through.

It's tough finding 53 players that can actually compete at the NFL level consistently. Even harder to get 22 guys that are quality starters or better. We're now relying on guys that aren't top 53 - more like in the 70 range when compared to most nfl rosters.

No coaching can overcome this much loss.

This is a good team if healthy.

I love my Ravens and am just as disappointed as anyone... But expectations must be tempered. The reality is that there are just too many injuries to be successful right now. We'll win some more games, and when we get healthier we'll look closer to the team we expected to have, but it'll be too little too late.

But there's no reason to blow anything up. With health and a few key draft picks and offseason acquisitions we'll be right back in contention.

I'm sure you all were holding your breath waiting for this weeks prediction to come out. I wanted to see the final injury report but then realized it really doesn't matter. My team has no heart this year and the season is already over before the bye. This is going to be a long dry spell before this team gets any better. Swagger is something that can be lost in a year but it takes several years to get it back. Plain and simple truth is the Cardinals are going to stomp us 38-13.

Here is another prediction Cordarelle Patterson will be wearing Purple next year.

Not interested unless he can give us some 2013 production and then some. Ross and Patterson would be a nice duo on kick returns but he's not any better than the WR's we have now and we need a significant upgrade in that department.

I can easily see another loss for the Ravens on monday night dropping them to 1-6.
