I will never understand hoping the team you cheer for to lose, ever. I understand the point of it, but to me its an insult to the players that step on the field for us. To each their own....

Their play has been pretty insulting as well...

ans yet all three games we are a play away from Being 3-0.

A play away from losing to the Niners. The difference I'm good teams, is they make the plays when it matters. We were plays away in 13 as well. I've personally said, if we only win 2 games a season, I wish they were against the Steelers. I'm not arguing against what you said or what he said. Just sayin...

Thank god, I thought I was crazy for a second. Anyone who has been an athlete themselves I could never romaine them agreeing with that logic

your definitely not alone. This nonsense just doesn't even deserve responses anymore. These aren't real fans they only wanna hop on for the ride when we're successful and in the playoffs.

I've revised down my expectations for the year.  We are not going to be 12-4.  We are not going to get a playoff bye and we probably will not win the Superbowl.

But as Eisenberg pointed out, our opponents now have a combined 8-1 record and the lone loss was when two of them met.

We have been beaten by 6, 4 and 4 points against pretty good teams.  We struggled early, but can turn it around with improved efforts by both coaches and players.

8-8 would be a good season at this juncture.  9-7 would be quite good.  But it has to begin now. Pittsburgh without Big Has Ben is our chance to make a change. If we go to 0-4, we'll be drafting highly.

When have lost our swagger which has always been a big part of our success. We are in complete dis-array with no leaders on defense and out offense is carrying around 22 caliber ammunition and we are facing 45 's that are locked and loaded. Let's start thinking about rebuilding. Let's have the vision to see the writing on the wall and power-up the determination to do something about it!

True.........our offense has to pick it up.  We need everyone to contribute more, excepting Steve Smith. He's been phenomenal.

sadly i see us beating the steelers..michael vick is horrible and their offensive line is weak..

i want us to lose so changes are re-enforced in the mindset of Biscoitti and co.

I want us to get Bosa. I want flacco to save us cap..i want us at 36 million-40 million in capspace after cuts before re-sinings. I want a Von Miller opposite Bosa...

Never...well...one possible scenario........end of year.........no chance at playoffs....losing a game evaluating players for next year and getting a high seeded draft pick.

Hes willing to take the L in order to make the team Better in the long run. No issue. Plus last time we lost to PIT Harbs fired pretty much every CB on the roster, maybe he'd do the same to Pees.

Not at his juncture.

LMAO! This is one comical thread!

Agreed

I still say the Ravens win the Division if we right our ship.

Here's why.

Week 4: Ravens at Steelers - W No Big Ben. This should be our game. We should win it. No Excuses Game. Backs Against the Wall. We have no options but to win and get better or lose and really implode.

Chiefs at Bengals - Chiefs SHOULD Win. Yeah, Bengals defend their turf, but despite a couple of losses, they're one of the more dangerous teams in the league IMO. Awesome defense will batter Dalton around - or should. The offense will get it going I think.

Browns at Chargers - Chargers SHOULD Win. Neither team is good IMO. Chargers look like crap, Browns are crap. Chargers are the home team, the Browns lose. I'd be shocked if the Chargers lost.

Week 5 - Browns at Ravens - W. We don't lose to the Browns at home no matter how crappy our year is. If we lose to the Browns this year, we're not going to the playoffs. Period.

Seahawks at Bengals - Seahawks SHOULD win. Does anyone think Dalton and AJ Green can beat the full Legion of Boom? I don't.

Steelers at Chargers - Maybe? Chargers can win, but Vick will have had over a week to prep for this

Week 6 - Ravens at San Fran - W. Assuming we win over Steelers and Cleveland... San Fran has been awful this year. The Raiders are a better team than the 49ers. I think we win against San Fran, Jimmy Smith really goes off and picks passes meant for T. Smith.

Bengals at Bills - Bills SHOULD win. Tyrod knows the Bengals. Rex Ryan knows the Bengals. The Bills have a crushing defense. I don't see Dalton winning this one either. He's a mediocre QB whose headcoach knows the Ravens. The Bills aren't the Ravens, Marvin Lewis doesn't figure out Buffalo.

Broncos at Browns - If the Broncos lose this game, the Earth is the center of the universe, and the Patriots aren't cheaters, and Peyton Manning has multiple SB Wins... as in... the Broncos won't lose this game.

Cards at Pittsburgh - Yeah, I don't see the Cards falling to Michael Vick.

Best case scenario? After Week 6, we're 3-3. Two Wins in the Division. Steelers are 3-3, Bengals are 3-3, and the Browns are... 1-4.

We would no longer be out of contention for the North. Say we lose to the Cardinals in Week 7, we'd still have a shot because unless KC has a meltdown, they'll win against a Big-Ben-Less Steelers, and the Browns will still be in the hole if they beat the Rams. We come back home to SD. We beat SD. We can go on our bye at 4-4, 5-3, and possibly even in the lead in the Division depending on the outcome of Bengals vs. Steelers.

Hope is very much alive. If our players execute, the division falls into our laps. I'm not convinced that the Ravens of the past 3 weeks are the team we'll see in the next 13.

exactly , and the 2nd half of the season things open up even more. Our schedule gets much easier and the bengals and steelers gets rather difficult. The division is still very much up for grabs as long as we start winning games.

I feel like if we have a down season, okay it sucks for us, worse for the team, but then next year we rebound, because that's what we do.

But imagine if we did go the distance. We'd be the team that overcame the adversity. We'd be THE team to do it. If any team can do it, it's the Baltimore Ravens.

I agree with this 99% of the time but when your team is REALLY bad its excusable. Titans and Colds did it, turned out really good for them.

Yea the teams were bad, maybe that's why they couldn't win. But as a fan, to hope they don't win, I will just never get it, ever. And a team that had Peyton Manning for ten plus years, they can handle one bad season...

And because they had a horrible season they went from one great QB to another. Like I said, it ended up great for them, why can't that happen here?

if that happens to so us, so be it. I'm just saying I won't cheer for us to lose so we can get a better draft pick. Curtis painter was not a good qb, if I was a Colts fan, I still would have wanted to win, regardless. I understand the premise of having a bad season = better draft pick. I just can't picture a fan who would want there team to lose. I have to much pride as a Ravens fan to do that to our boys. But to each their own.

The only way I think that makes sense is if you are looking to get a generational type player, aka Andrew Luck. You pretty much know who you are taking before the season starts, and he's a generational player at the most important position.

We aren't seeking a QB, and there isn't a single player at any position in most drafts that is going to immediately transform a team picking with an early draft pick into a contender immediately. Even a generational pass rusher, corner, etc. isn't all of the sudden transform a team picking early into something special.

You're picking early for a reason... either you have A LOT of positions that need upgrading, or you don't have a QB.

I completely get the concept and I do understand it all. Just saying... I could never not a and to win. No matter what. At anything. Just not built that way. But good thing it's not up to me

If we win this game, we go to at least .500 before our next loss (Ari), though I don't think it's unreasonable that we could go on a longer streak. That's my prediction. I'm more worried about this game than the last two, though, which I hope is a good thing since we lost the last two.

ESPN just dropped this tidbit:

The last team to lose each of their first three games by 6 points or less was the '98 Bills.

The last team to make the playoffs after starting 0-3 was the '98 Bills.

Keep your heads up a little while longer Ravens Nation!

Where's your prediction for tonight's game?

I did post my prediction earlier but here it is again.

We allow Vick to look like a pro bowler for a game and without Gilmore they double SSS and we are dead in the water. Steelers defense is better than people think even without Shazier,  An easy Steelers victory I hate to say   27-10

"Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain" said the great and powerful Wizard of Oz. Yeah, if you're a wizard, then I'm Harry Potter. I predicted the final score of last week's game would be 31-28 in favor of our beloved Ravens. It coulda, shoulda & woulda been with some more reliable weapons. The final score was 24-28 instead. What did you predict last week? 27-10 wasn't even close., was it?

Even a wizard can admit when he is wrong. So with a victory against Cleveland we get to 2 and 3. This Sunday will be a tough battle because Browns are not as hapless as it seems. We win tho 28-13

I knew the Wizardry would wear off sooner or later, the Pittsburgh victory is gonna spark the turn around! Edited by January J

Even tho I've been off on a couple game predictions we are right where I predicted we would be in the division. We are lucky to even be in the win column. Today was another coaching nightmare with bad decisions and play calling to go around. The whole coaching staff has to go including OZ, Harbaugh, Trestman and Pees. Time to reboot.
