[News] Ravens React To Tyrod Taylor Winning Bills' Starting Job

40 posts in this topic

I said it from the start! Were it not for dumb luck and a great defense, Tyrod may have started here!

As it turns out, we prepared him for this opportunity and I am thrilled with the News!

Harbaugh is full of crap. If he really believed that Tyrod could be a starter, he would have let him play. There were plenty of opportunites to give him time in the game, but Taylor never appeared. I think Tyrod actually regressed during his time here. Maybe it was mental. Maybe it was because of lack of playing time. Maybe it was lack of ability. Who knows? We will see when he steps behind center for Buffalo. I wouldn't count on him being the next Johnny Unitas.

I always new the dude could ball out if he was given playing time or enough reps. You can't evaluate a qb when he or give up on him when he doesn't get a chance to play. I bet a lot of raven fans are feeling a type of way after doubting him for so long.

I havent seen him play in BUF but it sounds like Tyrod may have finally slowed down and come into his own. Now go kick some NE butt Tyrod!

OMG...  Heath on NFL Network just said that he could see the Bills going 9-0.  LOL...

Have you seen the schedule????

That's a little over the top!

that's good for him. the bills winning games is only a good thing for us (getting rid of patriots, dolphins)...until they get in our way in the playoffs.

I was rooting for him as well. I actually paid attention to the Bills games to see how he did. Glad to hear he got the starting job. He looked really good out there.

Proud of Tyrod. We knew he has a ton of potential. Bill is the perfect fit. Strong D, big runnin game with a read-option QB. They are going to have some success.

You realize he not only was stuck behind our ironman QB that never got hurt but he also didn't fit our system well. Harbs and the FO believed in Taylor enough to keep him as our backup... we just didn't get in a situation where we needed to play him. Not saying he'll be the next Johnny U but as almost everyone else, I'm glad he's getting to start and I will wish him the best of luck

Congrats to Tyrod! Then again, its not saying much if you win the job by beating out Cassel and Manuel. Those guys only belong in the game if a team is very desperate. Kinda like this Schaub guy we got.

Congrats to Tyrod. He had to learn new offenses every year in Baltimore, so probably helped him. The better Tyrod plays, the better our compensation pick for him. (WIN, WIN) Come on 3rd round comp pick!

I am so happy for Tyrod! I wish we had him, but that would be selfish! So make stuff happen Tyrod. Get all the wins you can except against us of course!

Ok Tyrod, now set a single game or season rushing record for a QB and make my bold prediction for this NFL season come true (as long as that single game is not against us in the playoffs).

I have to admit that I'm shocked that so many people are talking great things about him. I'm sure I will get negged for saying that but being a Tyrod fan since day one I've seen way more bad things coming out of peoples mouths than good. He always has been a great QB and had the potiental to be a franchise QB, now he finally gets the chance to prove it. It's going to be a great game when we play them in the playoffs instead of the Patriots.

I'm glad he will be in a place where the game plan is more tailored for him. I knew it was only a matter of time. Way to GRIND it out Trod!!!

I'm so happy for Tyrod! It's almost like your child graduating from college or something. He's been a patient guy, and now he's getting his due. Good for him! I hope he eats the Pats this year... they're a sickening bunch of whiney cheaters. Here's to Tyrod! I want him to win... except if we meet in the playoffs...

We don't play each other this season. Which is a good thing, wouldn't want to see our guys having to get after him

I've been saying for the last few years to give Tyrod Taylor some plays to do, I knew he could be a good QB, for someone to be sitting on his butt the last 4 years watching Joe Flacco and waiting and waiting and waiting for his Coach Harbough to call his name,I've had been Negged about this every time I post something about him, It's a shame that the Bills are not on our schedule, I would have loved to see him play against us and I wouldn't be surprise if we lost that game. I wish him nothing but SUCCESS for him and am very happy that he's getting his starts. Good Luck Tyrod

I felt when Joe's leg was hurt Tyrod should have started against the pats and the Ravens prolly would have won that game but Naw I had people red me up cause I was in favor of Tyrod starting that game! When Tyrod find his comfort zone he is gonna lite it up! Mite take a quarter or a half but watch what he does! And being around Joe will pay dividends! SALUTE

As I told my Bills friend that Ty will be great for them. He couldn't show it here because they had Joe and were not going to redesign the offense for him, but Rex can. He also learned a lot under Gary last year. Good luck Ty! Make the absolute best of it.

Harbaugh had to have faith in Tyrod, if he didn't he wouldn't have been the ONLY backup QB on the roster his last few seasons with us.  That aside, I VERY happy for Tyrod and I wish him nothing but the best.  Luckily for me living in the 757, I was able to witness a lot of great HS football QBs play in this area and w/out a doubt, TT was the best I've seen.  That's saying a lot considering I've seen; Vick, EJ Manuel, Ronald Curry, Allen Iverson, and Tyrod all play at the HS level.
