[News] Preseason Debut 'Surreal' For Terrence Brooks After Knee Injury

16 posts in this topic

That's amazing that he's out there so quickly. I really hope he's got the leg and ligament strength to deal. Frequently you see guys come back, try to play at full speed, and not realize that to do so they have to over compensate on their strong side, and then they end up tearing their other knee up (see: Lardarius). Being a safety makes that even more risky. Hoping for the best for him, seems like a hard worker with some talent he can bring to the team.

I'm both surprised and glad that he's back so soon after an injury like that.I had high hopes for him after we drafted him and I still do.I think CJ,Jernigan and Brooks could all become huge playmakers.

Regardless of Lewis or Hill being on the roster, I'd still like to see this kid excel and maybe take a starting job at some point.

Wish Terrence Brooks well. Who knows if he will develop into the safety we so badly need. Elam stinks. Sorry he is injured, but he has been terrible in both safety positions. Can't cover and can't tackle. Who the heck looked at this guy before wasting a number one pick on him? All we heard was press baloney about how fast he was. He can't even keep up with the tight end. We have got to stop making mistakes with our number one. Another one this year.

I think that he shouldn't just be thinking about playing if someone goes down, he should also be pushing them for playing time. I think this is kind of putting a ceiling on himself when he could do a lot better. Although, I do understand that with the knee injury he has to focus on his rehab first and getting back into things and not overexert himself so he gets injured again.

I hope his confidence level gets better and he becomes the great player we know he is. Also, we need him because the secondary really sucks without him.

He is great to have for quality depth in the secondary. I even like him at corner, more than Webb or Jackson. Welcome back Terrance. You can't teach speed.

I've always like Brooks' potential. Maybe this injury comeback will be motivation enough for him to show some things. We've been known to bring out extraordinary talent in players over the years, and I'm hoping Brooks can join that club.

Roughing the passer penalties are ridiculously easy to come by these days. Frankly though when QB's (like Ben R)know that the Ravens are going to hit u hard all game and we'll even take a few silly penalties to prove it, it changes how they play...get in a QB's head and the rest is easy...
