Well they obviously have a lot of faith in his abilities. I mean we haven't seen him play but they've watched him practice for two years (until he got hurt) up against maybe the starting OL. Maybe he's just a guy waiting for a chance to actually get on the field and dominate.

I mean, obviously they know more than we do, but I just would rather hold onto him on the active roster and save it for someone else.

Robert Myers claimed by Colts

Asa Jackson claimed by Giants

Hate to see that one. I liked the Myers pick alot. I think the combo of him picking things up slowly and Jensen playing better than expected pushed him out. It would have been nice if he made the ps. On one hand it sucks to blow a fifth rd pick, on the other hand I'm glad this team always sticks with the best players and is always self evaluating. I heard a great quote from Ross Tucker today if your team doesn't cut anyone you've heard of was there really competition there?

Worst trade I've ever seen. Let's trade our second round pick after one year just for a conditional seventh round pick aka waste of time.

Good for TWest though, he's actually going to a team with a future.

I think this speaks to how overrated West was around here.

Ross Tucker is great and now they've added Shannon Sharpe on the morning show on Mon and Fri(Sirius satellite). It'd be so great if they'd team these guys together.

I've only heard a few clips from the Sirius radio show. I pretty much only listen to podcasts. Tucker has andrew Brandt and greg Cossell on weekly who are both awesone.

The most overrated tandem for drafting are Cobert and Tomlin. They stink to high heavens!

They hit homeruns when it comes to drafting WRs tho.

Yup, Brown (6th), Sanders (3rd), Bryant (4th),

So the Giants cut Asa Jackson already. That was fast.

I'm guessing they brought him in for a practice, kicked a few balls to him that got muffed, placed him at cb where he got burnt 4 or 5 times... coaches all looked at each other and said yep, on to the next one.

Jokes aside , now that he's back on the market anybody think he could possibly come back to the PS? And if so at the expense of what player?

I'd certainly entertain the idea. He's missed enough games where he may still be eligible lol. I'm not sure he's honestly even worth it anymore. I wouldn't drop James for him.

Well, it looks like we cut Brown for him lol. I'm not sure how I feel about it but whatever I guess

Yeah, this was surprising.  I'm guessing they really want KR/PR insurance so bringing back Asa isn't a shock.  The surprise is cutting Brown

Wow... I thought we have seen the Asa movie, loved the upside we had in Brown.....he brought heart and skill to the table, something SSS has, certainly not carelessness, which we chose instead.....would have liked Brown to get a shot at returner

Yea idk why cut Brown I liked him as well...but I also don't understand why we even cut Asa to begin with. Why is the team focusing on his return skills? We didn't draft him for that and he's showcased his playmaking abilities at corner(where we need the most help). I know I know we haven't seen him do much lately but has any of our "other" corners EVER showed "playmaker" plays? No. I believe he's just in the dog house. Maybe he's a douch idk. Hope we get Brown back. Cut that TE from denver...like What the heck? we need him for?

I hope Daniel Brown comes back soon to our PS. I like the kid's attitude. But, overall I think Asa's addition was a smart football move.

I would not be surprised at all if Asa is back on the roster very soon.  I think it'd be purely in a kick returner capacity while some combination of Camp, Webb, and SSS handle punts.  I can't even sit here and pretend that Asa is a good option at CB, but I don't mind him as the 6th option there in an emergency situation during a game.  I mean, he was a least better than Chykie and Franks who just happened to be what we considered the best options at one point last year.

I wondered about this option way back in OTAs. If Asa isn't one of the top 5 or 6 CBs(thought we'd keep 6) would you atleast sign him to the PS. Then once camp and Preseason happened i wonder would you at least want to give him the chance to win the coaches trust back as a RS. There is no doubt he fumbled away a huge opportunity, literally. But he also showed huge play making ability and even as a sub package DB showed, imo that he could be an asset. Others think he was terrible as a DB but i didn't. I though he played well enough on the outside and slot to be considered an option in sub packages. I think he deserved an opportunity to show that those fumbles were just mistakes and not habit.

As for Brown. I would have kept him over Butler honestly but Jeremy provides a better ST option to the 2015 team and he'll serve go tough possession WR on the scout team. I honestly think Brown will be back if he clears waivers. He's the type of young player the Ravens like.

The thought of Asa Jackson returning punts and KO's makes me nauseous. If it ever gets to where he is our only alternative our season is over.

Will anyone be surprised if the TE from Denver is cut later this week of next?

@jeffzrebiecsun: Harbaugh wouldn't rule out making a roster move tomorrow. Just speculation but Ravens could bring up a corner from practice squad

I heard on sportscenter this morning that the ravens signed Aldon smith. After a few seconds of confusion and shock , I realized they said he signed with the raiders.
