Nothing surprising so far, honestly.  Closest cut to being a surprise was Jacobs

I'm a little sad we cut Jacobs. I always liked him. Maybe he returns as a PS candidate.

Ninety players to 75 to 53 and back to 63 players all in 7 days. I'm sure there's very valid reasons the NFL makes teams go through all this tomfoolery (mostly keeping paper pushers fully employed I suppose) but only the 53 number is important, and even then, only 46 get to dress on game-day. Am I the only one that thinks all this is crazy....or what? lol

Nope.  The player that you want to use the designation on has to be on the beginning 53 man roster and can't officially be moved to IR-DTR until the Tuesday after final cuts.  Brent Urban has yet to be placed on IR, so he remains a candidate.  If he makes it through the last 2 moves tomorrow, that's probably a good indication that he'll be the designee.

Feeling hopeful about the fact that Urban wasn't placed on IR.  Could mean he's either less than 6 weeks away and they think it would be good to get a fresh pass rusher back by mid-season.
