[News] Crockett Gillmore Calls Tackler A 'Mosquito'

52 posts in this topic

This guy is gonna be huge for us this year. Just like flacco said this is just some insight into what he can do. And he acts like it ain't no thing which makes him even better in my book. Told y'all he was gonna be our version of gronk. & we ain't seen nothin yet.

This guy is a beast and if properly utilized in this system he could very well be the next big time TE in the league. He puts teams to sleep with his size but he has just as good of hands as anyone on the team and once he has it, it is like trying to tackle a big defensive lineman as the Washington players learned.

Crock is like Marshawn Lynch and Gronk put together. He broke like three or four tackles during that touchdown play. He's going to be a mismatch nightmare for NFL teams and maybe an all star type of TE. He's a scary player.

Beyond loving Gilmore for defending his teammate in the scuffle, I love that Gilmore was able to constructively channel his rage on the next play and run right over or shake off any Redskin who dared get between him and the end zone, especially Robinson. I will always remember and respect Gilmore for that "play like a Raven" fierce attitude. Crockett showed us sheer determination on top of his awesome athletic abilities. Gilmore has the level of grit it takes to achieve greatness.

Crockett is awesome! This is what I want to see on the field when I watch Ravens play. Be the man to step up and shake off hits and make yards after the catch! And yes, as any offense player, be it TE, WR or RB, learn to love blocking! Nothing like a solid block to help your team mates get yards.

Monstrous!!! That is how I described him after that touchdown. Looked like a snow plow pushing snow out of the way, was exciting to see. Loved how he stood up for Aiken/teammates and later just bowled over Robinson. Am so glad we got him on our team, looking forward to seeing him do great things this year.

The TD - especially the after-the-catch part was simply ridiculous - in the good sense of the word, of course. It's the pre-season, so who cares that it was called back, because someone else committed a foul... If Gillmore makes similar tricks a couple of times in the reagular seeason, he'll soon be the next favourite.

As for whether he is more of a blocking or a catching TE - didn't Gillmore, himself, admit earlier this summer that he only called himself primarily a blocking TE because he figured that with Pitta and Owen Daniels on the roster it would give him the best chance to get on the field?

Didn't expect a thing from this guy a year ago, now he might be a valuable weapon and could pair with Williams as one of best duo in the game.

I watched the play so many times that I noticed the Ref doing his best Flacco impression. He had to of thrown that flag 15 yards with perfect form. Oh and two words for Crockett Gillmore, Thank You! Seeing you dominate like you do and being the definition of Play Like A Raven makes it a lot easier knowing we will never see Pitta play again. Maxx Williams has the perfect player to learn from. Just like our WRs have with SSS.

I still don't see the pass interference on Brown. He was on the other side of the field. If you have no effect on the play, no harm no foul. Bogus call. That changed the game. Good thing only preseason. Those refs need to get their act together when the games count.

Man, when he gets going, get out of his way. The announcers said he is 6'6" 275. I believe it...What a perfect response to toss Robinson to the ground before diving into the endzone.

All I'm saying is that Crockett calling Robinson a mosquito is a pretty good put down. However, it not the same name we fans were calling Robinson as we yelled at our TV's after the dirty hit to Aiken. At least Gilmore's term was printable. Mine was not.
