I hope injuries don't hamstring us again this year !

With the talent on this team I've already put in a bet, hoping we'll pick up our third Lombardi. I just couldn't resist the odds !

I am hoping we will just have healthy players every year it just seems to get worse and worse that our guys drop like flies.

OK, somebody help educate this knucklehead as to what exactly is a "soft tissue issue" . A bruise away from bone? or internal lacerations? Kick to the groin? lol. I have no idea. I keep reading about this injury, but not sure what exactly that means. GO RAVENS!

Man, every time I turn around Campanaro is injured. I like the guy and he is good but best ability is availability. Camp cant help if hes always on the sidelines with hamstring injuries and soft tissue injuries and such. They need to look seriously at that situation, and not just assume Camp will stay healthy. Nothing in his track record says he will. They should try and keep Tom Nelson around as a back plan same type of Welker esque WR.

From what I heard its very vague ... anything not related to bone ( but maybe mistaken)

HRF is correct.  Any non-bone related injury can be identified as a soft tissue injury.  Could be; tendinitis, calf strain, hammy, deep muscle bruise, etc...!

Another thing going into this game... I know this is a dress rehearsal for regular season where starters usually play to the half if not a series or two into the third quarter, but priority NO.1 is STILL HEALTH! Keeping STAR Players healthy. So for that reason I really dont care if a Jimmy Smith plays one series, or two series then save him for week 1. Kind of how they are limiting Forsett, after injuries to Jordy Nelson, Pouncy,Scandrick, etc Health is main priority

I get what you're saying, but the starters need to gel.  If that means playing 3 qtrs tomorrow to get on the same page, so be it.

Unfortunately, injuries are a part of a game and you can't avoid them. I'd rather they get the kinks worked out as much as possible tomorrow instead of going 0-2 during the regular season while trying to fix issues/problems.  You have to remember, Jimmy didn't play in the 1st pre-season game.  So he's only played 3 defensive series since he went down in week 8, 2014.  He needs the reps IMO.

Kind of agree with ya, being the optimist I never expected injuries to hit us back to back seasons but definitely getting worrisome

AHA! Thanks guys for helping me out, So I see that it is a generic injury term so coaches don't need to be specific. OK, at least I don't feel like an idiot now wondering what exactly does that mean! :)

I think the staff is being very protective of our key players who are dinged up, they are holding a lot of them out, when i'm sure if push came to shove some of them could suit up....We have yet to have a catastrophic injury to any of our key players....Knock on wood....;)

Lifting weights is all right to a point but proper stretching and eating right  is more important. You pulled it because you did not stretch it.

It probably wouldn't hurt to sign a serviceable veteran WR who gets cut in the next week. Just sayin'. 3 of the Ravens projected starters behind Smith Sr (Campanaro, Perriman, Brown) have been dealing with injury issues to some degree already. Maybe they'll all be good to go by Week 1, but on the other hand it's good to have a contingency plan in case 1 or more are sidelined for a considerable amount of time. Neg me if you want (and I'm sure many of you will bc I'm playing devil's advocate), but the Ravens would be in a pretty bad spot if Aiken or (heaven forbid) Smith Sr went down.

Webb was quite unproductive last year and was forced to take a pay cut to stay on the Ravens this offseason. Since then things have spiraled out of control with him with either one injury after another, lack of productivity, failure to pass the conditioning test etc.... I am beginning to wonder if his pay cut has to do with what appears to be a lack of concern about the team with him. Maybe I am misreading this, but Ryan Mallet "overslept" after losing the qb battle in Houston and subsequently was dropped to the bottom of the depth chart. At some point in time the depth chart will have to show Webb at the bottom of the CB position because of what is the impression of him not caring. Once you give up on your team and teammates, you no longer belong.

Maybe the Ravens will play this week because they sure did not show up last week. Honestly, I starting to feel sorry for the Red Skins. They are about to be hit by a bus.

I think you're way off base here about Lardarius. If anything, he tries TOO hard, and ends up getting hurt because of it.

Putting Flacco out on the field for an extended time behind a makeshift O-line - especially against the kind of D-line the Redskins have - is a case where my blind faith in our coaches and Ozzie is seriously put to the test... If I try to balance the potential gains and the potential losses... I keep coming up pathetically short on the "gains" side.

Thanks for the info. Sound like some soft tissue injuries can be worse than some bone-related injuries, like a small fracture in a finger.

Camp is already sprinting full speed. It was a minor training camp tweak that many of these guys deal with after 4 weeks of 3 hour practices. (not the hamstring!)

The Ravens staff has done a great job with Camp and he will be balling this year!!

Exactly what happened to RG knee last week when Trent Williams was out. He got clobbered.

As much as I like Webby as a person, and as much as I hate to say it, his injuries and play lately are hurting this team instead of helping it... The best ability is availability and he's been sidelined(or hasn't started) for nearly half his career... 52 starts out of a possible 96 games in 6 years

RG3. OUT VERSUS RAVENS:: VIA INDEPENDENT NEUROLOGIST. Per NFL NETWORK...

wow they must have changed their mind then cuz every report I read said he was cleared and good to go. They must have had second thoughts about putting him out there against a frustrated ravens defense bc they would have eaten him alive.

The analysts are going crazy.  They are saying that the Redskins don't want to put him out there.  He hasn't won a preseason game in 2 years, and that "he's just not ready"... Really???  It's what, his 3rd season???  I'm with you J.  I agree.
