Preseason 3 - Baltimore Ravens vs. Washington Redskins

I'm all for making the tough cuts now and letting the easy cuts play the 4th preseason game.  Injury prevention lol

Hope I wake up tomorrow to: "Ravens trade for Bucs CB Verner: the Ravens have sent a 2016 3rd round pick in exchange for former pro bowl cornerback Alteraun Verner"

That would be a horrible trade. 3rd round pick for a system CB like Verner that doesn't even fit Dean Pees' system?

Pees isn't going anywhere because nobody will hire him away.

He's publicly stated he has no desire to be a HC, so there's really no chance he gets hired away, not that I think that's a bad thing.

It's not happening. Why would the Buccs give up their best cornerback?

Which is more important, adjusting your chin strap while pursuing a runner or adjust it after the play. I actually saw the Ravens #32 adjusting his facemask and chin strap while pursuing a runner and it did not need adjusting, has he just bolted after the runner right away, it would have saved a few yards from being gained. Jeez, lol.

We got 8 million in cap space. Wished we had kept Jacoby Jones. We need a good returner badly, it helps with field positions.

Less after the Will Hill extension.

Obviously, the Broncos first team offense is terrible because they couldn't score in a whole half against the patchwork 49ers. This week obviously means everything, so woo-hoo...

I'm not discouraged with our first team offense. TD wiped out on a bad call. Deep drive stalled after a bad spot. I think they looked fine, even without our first team O-line. First team defense wasn't quite as impressive, but not awful. Backups weren't impressive. Hopefully, we get the injuries out of our system now.

Theres got to be some positives to take from this game....but I don't know what they are

The positives are that the starters look formidable, though the secondary is still shaky.

But it's troubling that the depth is so bad, because injuries always happen.

Yeah, but you don't field a complete second and third team.  A player and there don't affect the entire team the way an entire 2nd and 3rd team does.

Because they're not competing this year anyway, they get his money off the books to bring in huge signings in the offseason who they like more, they get a valuable pick. Definitely not saying they would even be interested, I was just giving an example of the type of trade I would like to see.

Don't take it literally, just laying out that I would like to trade for an upper tier corner even if we have to give up a 3rd if it can be the difference between a divisional round loss and a SB appearance. The Pats, Broncos, Colts passing attacks are lethal and we don't have the secondary to deal with them as of right now.

How do you know that ? They just recently drafted their franchise quarterback, have pretty good players on defense,  two solid receivers in Vincent Jackson and Mike Evans a run game that looks to be solid this year. The Buccs have the chance to be very successful this year and make the playoffs.  I'm not sure it's a good statement to tell a team we giving up on the season before it starts by trading on of their best players on the team
