Preseason 3 - Baltimore Ravens vs. Washington Redskins

See that would be my automatic guess but it would have to make sense elsewhere like if it means we want to keep an extra LB out of Albert Orr brown etc.

I wouldn't be shocked to see Brown be cut, honestly.

Honestly, even before that he's been bad. I don't think he's looked sharp since Preseason Game 1. Even when he had a better line earlier in the game when he took over in the 2Q, he has looked pretty eh. He's had no pocket awareness or ability to escape pressure. I guess it's not fair since it's not like he's our franchise guy and he's older now so what do we really expect? Still, man, this guy really has lost a lot of his touch. It's fair to say it. He's not the same guy he was before.

Oh his overall play has been horrid, but I just meant that particular incident.

They showed that stat on tv. 4th against the run, 28th against the pass.

You can also look on NFL.com team stats for that. The Ravens went far downhill once Jimmy went out.

People have to remember that we're down to our 4th string LT (Monroe, Hurst, Jensen and Reid), and 3rd/4th string along other positions on the OL.  I think there's a couple of 2nd stringers on the Redskins still playing as well.

I wouldn't be shocked either.. Just thinking of a scenario where we'd use an extra spot dorm here besides CB

Arthur Brown had one lucky tackle @ preseason #2.   Other than that, he has zero NFL talent to be in this level.   Year 3, bye Arthur.

Starting offense was shredding them. 17 points on 3 drives if we don't get screwed bu the refs on the Gilmore TD. Don't get worked up over the scout defense. Schaub is concerning and the corner depth is concerning but we were FAR more dominant starters vs starters than the scoreboard indicates.

I don't like that the starters only got 1TD from their 3 scoring drives. Tucker is great and all but only getting 7 on a third of scoring drives is going to lose a lot of games. The offense has to be better. This game shows what getting TDs does. Skins 4 scoring drives, 4 TDs. The Ravens need that efficiency.

Guys calm down. Our online is so banged up was have Jah Reid playing LT. That isn't our 2nd or 3rd string line in there. Due to injuries it is more like our 5th or 6th string line.

I don't know, I'm thinking they keep 8 linebackers. I really don't see nine.

He's just been a really poor fit, it seems. He'd do well to be on a 4-3 team.

Man Tray Walker is struggling out there tonight.  Ouch.

Yeah, he hasn't had a good night at all. It happens, though. Vaughn has actually looked pretty good. I think Smith, Webb, Arrington, Vaughn, Walker & Melvin should make the team. I'm really not a big Jackson fan at this point, but that return was nice, I won't lie. He makes it tough.

Yea? I honestly have never really tried to project the roster during preseason.. Never really been my thing

This game was a let down. Rookies did virtually nothing. Other Receivers besides Steve did nothing. Running game is suspect, secondary is iffy. Worst of all, we've struggled against a team like the Redskins. But hey, it's preseason and doesn't mean anything at all or show anything right? Right?

People seem to forget that this game involves practically no game planning. I think someone here posted that they haven't seen a single deep ball all pre-season. That's just not going to be the case come the regular season. Trestman likes to go deep and Flacco has the arm for it.

This is hardly an indictment for the season.

I agree with you completely. I keep reminding myself this is nothing more than a look and see for coaches to decide who makes the team. Still, I cringe when most starters are not playing. In games like this, I look for positives among rookies and 2nd/3rd stringers while trying to remain upbeat, hard to do when the Redskins are making our non-starters look horrible, at home.

Pointer has fallen pretty far, and it seems like you can pick one of Vaughn or Jackson for the last spot.  I'd give the edge to Jackson since no one is putting up competition for the KR role.

I mean, just as far as the linebackers go, CJ Mosley played every single snap last year and Daryl Smith played probably over 95%, so there's not a huge need to have more than two back up inside linebackers. If they really wanted to keep nine, they'd keep an extra OLB, but Upshaw, Suggs, and Dumervil probably made up like 75% of the snaps last year, at least.
