Preseason 3 - Baltimore Ravens vs. Washington Redskins

955 posts in this topic

The thing that people need to remember before they go on overreacting is that the Ravens were missing starters already and playing second stringers with their ones. So, when those guys went out, it became threes in earlier when twos should be in. Basically, a lot of third string players playing against twos and a lot of guys who won't be making the team playing against players with starting experience.

Had this been a regular season game, I think we win going away. Of course, we'll have a lot stiffer competition when the regular season comes along.

Buck allen has a lot of 1-2 yard runs its giving me flashbacks of Benard Pierce

Two-three yards is the average length of most runs before you get a 20+ yard run to boost the average, I'd imagine.

I just realized I've been watching the Redskins network. That was painful. I switched a little late but oh well.

They must be downright giddy right now!

It's doable... Keep thinking we were still heavy at safety but keep forgetting bout Elam and Jacobs is obviously gone

The only way I don't see them keeping six is if they plan on using Brooks at CB in packages since he played there at FSU.

You feel confident about the receivers?

Absolutely, No Campanaro tonight, no Perriman. Steve Smith in excellent form. Aiken is reliable. Honestly Perriman completely changes the dynamics of the offense with his deep ball ability and Camp is the shifty chain mover on intermediate routes.

To be fair to Schaub, Jah Reid has been abused at LT. He should never play there ever again.

True, go figure that the one position where we absolutely couldn't afford injuries we had Jensen concussed how early in the game?...

People seem to forget that this game involves practically no game planning. I think someone here posted that they haven't seen a single deep ball all pre-season. That's just not going to be the case come the regular season. Trestman likes to go deep and Flacco has the arm for it.

This is hardly an indictment for the season.

I'm not going to blame Schaub for that. He had no time at all. This line needs improvement.

Honestly, even before that he's been bad. I don't think he's looked sharp since Preseason Game 1. Even when he had a better line earlier in the game when he took over in the 2Q, he has looked pretty eh. He's had no pocket awareness or ability to escape pressure. I guess it's not fair since it's not like he's our franchise guy and he's older now so what do we really expect? Still, man, this guy really has lost a lot of his touch. It's fair to say it. He's not the same guy he was before.

See that would be my automatic guess but it would have to make sense elsewhere like if it means we want to keep an extra LB out of Albert Orr brown etc.

Plus Gillmore is a beast now.

I like your optimism.
