[News] Joe Flacco Would Be Disappointed With 10 Wins

21 posts in this topic

Why does everyone think the Steelers have any chance at all?? They may end up with the worst defense in the NFL. The loss of Pouncey and Suisham will cost them 2-3 wins this year at least. Their offensive line was mediocre at best before the loss of Pouncey.

The Ravens dominated them in the first game last year and in the playoff game. The Steelers have not improved but actually deteriorated. They are starting from scratch to rebuild their defense which lost LeBeau, Polamalu, Worilds, Taylor and Keisel. And they are doing it with a rookie defensive coordinator. I wish we could play them 16 times this year.

We have a tough schedule but 12 wins is very possible with the depth and quality we have this year. If the secondary holds up we should have a top 5 defense and at least a top 10 offense.

I'm very interested to see if a team this good can go out and play to their potential every week. We'll get to see right away in Denver. They have a weak offensive line but a top notch secondary. Our defense will have to let Manning see the game from his back. Kubiak knows this so he will focus on quick short throws to help the O line out. Our linebackers and corners will have to defend the pass much better than they did against NE in last year's playoff game. I feel much better with Jimmy Smith healthy. We will need a big game from Arrington in the slot.

A win against Denver on the road would be a great way to start the season. Run the ball and no turnovers should get it done.

What ever it takes to get into the playoffs, I'm happy. The Ravens could win 13 or 14 and lose in round 1 and it would be a horrible season. It's SB 50 or bust.

I like the fact of Flacco setting a high bar. I think a healthy Ravens team is the best in the division. I am not worried about Webb since I think Melvin and Arrington are better. We do need Perriman to stretch the field. I really hope Raven keep Waller cause he, Brown and Gilmore are mismatches in the Red Zone.

I seriously doubt it would take 12 wins to get a division title. 11 is the magic number most years, and there's been no shortage of times where 10 + a tiebreaker was good enough.

First 5 out of 7 are on the road. Only the Raiders game could be easy. Bengals and Browns will be tough at home. We win 5 out of seven and a 11 win season looks good. Regular season, we run the ball. Perriman won't play in a regular game without any practice time; and then he runs only deep untouched. At this time, I like Allen, Toussaint and MaGee over Perriman. Our game plan is always run the ball and we have great backs beside Forsett.

"Joe Flacco would be disappointed with 10 wins" FINALLY the leader has spoken and I know I've been hard on Joe for that pass against the pats or whomever idea it was in the first place to throw that pass but this team can make history and 3peat and I've been feeling a perfect season can be done if they stop playing down to the competition! SET THE BAR! LETS DO THIS!

Joe: at 120M the word "disappointed" shouldn't be in your vocabulary. Focus on one game at a time and refining the execution of each and every play. Stop running the ball in preseason - this is an opportunity to work on throwing the ball out of bounds. Preseason means very little. Do you remember the hit you took in the Super Bowl on your sidelines? I was at the game when you got up. That single play showed the fire in your gut to suck it up and maintain the focus for the next play. We need you NOT to run in preseason, save it for the big games.

In the past the Ravens have lost many games to inferior teams . If we play up to our potential and don't slump at any time during the season we can win 12 games . Divisional road games are the key as they are always very tough along with a trip to AZ as well as a couple of other tough ones . All in all I love Flacco's attitude!

It would be nice to have some home playoff games. Anyway, I'm resolved not to let Flacco make me hypertensive this season as the unpredictable play of the Ravens in the regular season can be quite unnerving. In the playoffs, they tend to present a more consistent effort as Playoff Joe dons his cape and delivers justice across the land.

Sometimes they just don't show up, like last Saturday. If they wouldn't have played like crap TWICE against the mediocre Bengals last year, they'd have had 12 victories.

Good. Then don't play like an idiot. We have the mother loving [on paper] talent to go 14-2 this year. As long as Flacco avoids being stupid, it just might happen.

We need 12 wins, period. I'm not for playing 2 or 3 road games in the playoffs. Win the 12 games and get these punks in our stadium in January. They think we're good on the road, play the game here and see what happens.

It's always 2 or so games every yr where as a fan u walk away like, "what the..." Last yr it was a few games that the Ravens probably should've won: either one or both of the Bengals games, the Colts game, and I'd even throw in the Texans game and maybe even the Chargers game. Had we shown up and played like we needed to play, whether on O or on D, we would've had at least 12 wins for sure. It's like the Ravens enjoy the hard way... when homefield was on the line, we lost...but when playoffs were on the line we won
