[News] Who Is Ravens' Deep Threat Without Breshad Perriman?

69 posts in this topic

Breshad Perriman 40yd Dash - 4.24

Torrey Smith 40yd Dash - 4.36

Darren Waller 40yd Dash - 4.46

Antonio Brown 40yd Dash - 4.47

So I think Darren Waller could easily be that guy since he seems to catch everything and he is 6'6.

Antonio Brown is 5'10.  Darren Waller is taller and faster than Antonio Brown.

Sounds good.  Let's sit out our 1st round pick for the year because he missed some practice and preseason.  In his place we'll put a QB who converted to WR and looked good in one preseason game against 4th stringers and guys who will probably watch week 1 in a bar like some of us

He was a safety that converted to wr.....and he looks way better than that guy who's collecting a check and doing nothing..............

Have Aiken or Marlon shown they're that much better than Waller? I don't think so. Get Waller going with the 1's and see what he has. Waller with his measurables has a better shot at being a deep threat than Aiken or Marlon, IMO.

Waller doesn't have the quickness off the line he looks average to below average when getting off the line.

I partially agree with you. I didn't mean to say we don't need deep routes.

Guys like steve smith can go deep with better route running. Perhaps the other slower receivers can do the same. I am saying we don't need a burner like Torrey to go deep just to clear routes.

Actually, I am more concerned about special teams and the return game. Field position is so important, as is punt and kickoff coverage. I rate special team needs above the need of another receiver at this point because the WRs here are not that bad, but a decent returner, may not exist.

Tori Smith's Combine 40 yd time: 4.43 sec. Kamar Aiken's Pro Day 40 yd time, 4.45 sec. Who can get deep for the Ravens, now that Tori Smith is gone?

40 speed and football speed are different. Are you also sure those numbers are right though? I didn't realize Kaymarr was that fast.

the difference in 40 time is 0.01 lol

its also recorded on a track in shorts not on a football field with gear and going up against a defender.....

DHB and Hill where recent examples of guys who where big and fast and not doing much.

you need more then a 40 time and size to be avg in the NFL let alone be good.
