Melvin > Webb,  Webb > Melvin,  Personally I really don't care.  Put the best 11 defensive players on the field to put us in a position to win is all I ask for.

Yup, THAT!

At this point and time it's Melvin, only because he has been the only one i have seen play this pre-season....Until Webb plays a game, i have nothing to compare to....Webb needs to get healthy and play a pre-season game, if he doesn;t i just don;t see Harbs putting him cold so to speak in the first game...Not against Manning and the Broncs....You better have your A game for the most part of the first 8 games, as they are brutal games....

I like Kamar, but the fact that he is listed as the most 'impressive' scares the heck out of me. We don't have any scary team speed on offense right now. No healthy returner, no burner WR (that's healthy and had a significant number of reps). My optimism is turning to realism with these injuries piling up.

Webb is better when healthy. He is a solid corner when healthy don't act like Webb is worthless. Injuries happen and yes it sucks but you can't take away what he has accomplished here in Baltimore. If he can stay healthy he will be the #2 for sure. I'm glad Melvin is developing into a good cornerback, but remember Webb is good too. All one team here a healthy rotation of Smith, Webb, Melvin, and Arrington and our corners look pretty scary especially considering our front 7. What people should be worried about is the offensive line injury bug recently.... #2 O-Line in the league last year and it is falling apart before our eyes with injuries. Also back up running back position looks scary. Who are our play makers on the offensive side of the ball?

In 2014 Webb missed all preseason and the first 4 regular season games and then he went back to his original starting position.  Why wouldn't they start him week 1 vs Den if he's healthy?

Thats the key with Webb "when healthy", trust me i have been a Webb fan for years and got lamb basted when i wanted Webb and Williams to replace Foxworth and Carr way back when....I love his no fear of tackling, his aggressive blitzing, and coverage, but over the last 3 years he hasn't been able to be counted on, and with J.Smith's injury history as well, they both have to prove they can last a 16 game schedule...That along with the young D-Line are my question marks for the team this season....

757RavensFan, during those 4 games he missed he was able to re-hab and practice, right now he hasn't been practicing, and my point was, if he can't practice or get into a pre-season game, how can we expect him to be ready to go come game one?

Lack of a realistic, viable replacement who would take his job?

That appears to be the difference between 2014 and 2015.

Joe Flacco has this crazy deeply entrenched confidence that I find amazing. I don't know about other Ravens fans but I'm trying to enjoy as much of his career as I can because I know how long it took to finally land someone like him. As Torrey said, keep doing elite stuff man.

Nothing to be sorry about, but I like to think a healthy Webb is better than a healthy Melvin.  Again like I stated earlier, I don't care who starts between the two, just put the best man out there.

From current NFL players, I know who I'd expect to make a smooth football-to-broadcasting transition - Chris Canty. I think he's showed us he's good with that.

I like Suggs and I have no idea what his intentions were on that shot... and frankly I don't care how the baltimore ravens sponsored site and team apologists denied that it was a purposeful shot... the picture and video is clear that suggs went for the QB's knees intentionally. Again I don't know the reason behind it.. but while I get you stay away from the helmet to helmet contact.. this takes it to a whole new level. This is why our Ravens get a bad rep for playing dirty (even though I don't think that's generally the case)

Right now, I would say that Waller might be our "burner" - monster size and scary speed. Perriman will have to work his way into the rotation; he's been out so long.

Harbaugh is a natural at the commentator gig and looks like he would have a very successful 2nd career following his coaching years. Hopefully, Harbaugh will be coaching the Ravens for years to come and that his commentator days are way off in the distant future. The coaching gig here is working out pretty good for him here. He's a keeper

I think if Perriman can run a 9 route, a slant and a WR screen he would draw enough attention away from the other receivers to be successful even if he doesn't catch a pass. I also think Waller can fill that position with his 4.47 speed. The other receivers on the roster don't have the speed that Perriman and Waller have. The receiver opposite SSS and either Camp(if he can stay healthy),Aiken or Brown in the slot, just needs to draw attention of the safety, he doesn't have to be Calvin Johnson. Of course he has to catch the ball if it comes his way, but all he has to do is run fast down the field, across the field, and catch a screen and run.

Would they have gone with Belichick if they had lost? lol You could put a dead fish behind a mic and get better commentary than Belicheat.

Marlon, Jeremy, Kamar, Camp, SSS, and Waller all have enough speed to go deep. The question is do they have the moves to shake the defender. The best WRs in the league aren't usually the fastest but the ones with the best route running and the best hands.

Why would anybody take Tomlin over Harbaugh is something I fail to understand. Tomlin is gives you preacher talk with grammatical errors while Harbaugh is the real deal!

Typical Ravens. Play up Perriman injury then unleash him in the first game and let him fly. Luv it.

Unfortunatly that's more fantasy than reality. We are talking about a late first round pick with great speed but questionable route running and hands. He needed the entire offseason to "try" to get up to speed for week 1. OTA's, camps, preseason games, every last practice to learn the playbook and get comfortable with Joe. I have high hopes for Perriman but know better than to think he will run out on the field in Denver and tear it up. Also, if any team in the league prepares for the Ravens deep ball I think it would be Denver sooo.....

Vick signed with the Steelers? Am surprised that happened. I went over to the Steelers site to get a feel of how they feel. They disabled comments on the Vick signing but was able to find comments about it on next story. One of them said - "I am a 61 year old lifetime Steeler fan. I will no longer be able to watch MY Steelers until Vick is gone. I am SO disappointed in the Rooneys! I may have to change my dog's name, her name is Rooney!" Some Steelers fans even wanted to sign Ray Rice, saying if they signed Vick, why not add Ray Rice? Very interesting comments over here. If Vick plays against the Ravens, you can bet we will let the dogs out, literally. Woof!
