is he still nursing his lisfranc? or did he re-injure it?

he may have been the best RT in the league last year, but he is a massive man, and a lisfranc is nothing to take likely for a man that large, and if he was healed up and ready to go and re-injured it, that is serious cause for concern.

It's reported that he's out with a leg injury.  No confirmation, but you'd assume they'd call it a foot injury if it was the lisfranc issue.  Reports stated that he'll be fine and was only missing the game as a precaution.

the injury article that the site released after the game said foot injury but failed to go in further detail, thats where my concern came from

Everyone is on pins and needles with this injury and we sure seem to have a lot of injuries to overcome right now.  I believe Hurst can fill in. (That said, I never saw Hurst play that game.) But our top performance would come with a healthy Wagner.

yeah we are just snakebitten with injuries, i dont get it. everyone likes to say "stop crying look at the rest of the league" but year after year we see a core position group get absolutely decimated by injuries, so badly that it becomes a liability that ruins our season. last year our secondary was hammered by injuries and it ruined any chance we had of taking possibly the best team this franchise has ever had to the super bowl, the year before our OL got destroyed to the point that flacco couldnt play a full game by the end of the year. and this year our guys are dropping like flies once again.

teams can overcome major injuries across the whole roster, but when one group of your roster gets absolutely decimated, there comes a point where there is nothing you can do to mask that deficiency.

Scarily enough, if Wagner is hurt, they might slight Yanda out to RT and urschel in at RG if Hurst and Reid are both injured/inept.

Is it too late to get Evan Mathis in here? If we have to lose Wagner for any amount of time its going to be rough. But sliding Yanda out to RT and moving Mathis in at RG would work out ok.

To heck with Mathis. I hope teams flirt with the idea of picking him up and leave him job less. Big whoop. Yea I hold a grudge...

That's a good point.  I hope Wagner is back week 1.  He won't be needed in  the preseason anymore anyway.

Mathis is still available and is holding out for the right situation.  If we lose Hurst for an extended period he'd work if he doesn't break the bank.  He knows the ZBS and it wouldn't take long for him to get acclimated.

...and I don't hold a grudge on him either...
