Ravensfolyfe, yeah for sure we will blow the deadskins out of the water. And then visit this site only to read fans comments.... "Man we are gonna win the SB this year!" "I don't see us losing any games this year, at worst we go 13-3 and the playoffs run thru Baltimore"... Don't wanna be a debbie downer but I'm afraid with so many away games to start the season, this unit is gonna have a really rough start to 2015. And its not like our defense has stopped anybody in 3-5 years.

I didn't expect anything out of this game and injuries are apart of the game... but Flacco's underwhelming decision making was shocking. Deandre Carter really didn't help his stock in this game as well. Thankfully, it's only preseason.

Yes, it's the preseason ,but there are trends that are concerning. Where are the big plays in the offense? You can see the importance of having KO and Yanda on the field. Lack of return game. I wonder if Ravens should eat up a roster spot for guys like Jackson, Carter, Nelson who has shown nothing in the return game. That was once a big strength with Jacoby and now looks missing. Camp or Webb are guys they need to play healthy. Defense has looked bad in both games. And too many injuries. Only positives were the paly of Magee and Vaughn.

Understanding this is pre season but : Just appeared team had no focus esp Joe in the first half . Almost as if they were just going through the motions . Like times last year receivers could not get separation . We must have a deep threat or we might not even make the playoffs let alone SB . Quite a surprise for a team that practices intensely and has so much talent but again its pre season and they've been away from home for almost a week ?

I know this gonna sound weird but the good thing about it is no jinx for us this year due to we lost a game. Weird huh. Mostly teams that wins all games in the preseason and blows team out usually doesn't have a good year or just barely make the playoffs. So far good teams like the Steelers, Patriots, Seahawks, Ravens, etc all lost a game in the Preseason so no jinx yay LOL.

I think guys like, Aiken, Brown could be solid target but the they are not explosive. Torrey and Jacoby added explosiveness to the team. Torrey also had a safety shadowing him and Jacoby could return a kick at any point in the game. Defenses love when their safeties can roam without worrying about getting beat deep. This offense without Perriman or some other deep threat will struggle. Aiken and Brown caught passes and Foresett dominated last year cause defense were backed-up with Torrey on the field so Aiken or Brown could squat in the open areas and Oline did not see as many 8-man fronts. We need a deep threat to make offense work.

I'd like to know how many penalties were declined. We were penalized over 20 times, even if only 17 were accepted.

Its just 1 preseason game that doesnt count, but the mounting injuries are very concerning. Half the Oline sat out, Perriman will be out until likely wwek 1, Campanaro out (hamstring likely)

Then Taliaferro,Monroe,Hurst tonight. Im sure they will all be ready by week 1...but if Perriman cant go then we will have to be a Heavy Double,Triple TEs offensive system since that is our deepest receiving position, and use Waller as the Deep threat... And Use our deep RB group aswell with Buck Allen, Juice, Talliaferro, and co.

But not to worried until after next week

It seems like they always have at least one of these games every single year. They go from serious contender to JV in the matter of a week. The injuries and mistakes are disturbing, but they have to learn from those mistakes. They will have a better showing next week.

Smh. I take every game, every play like its the last of my life! Interceptions after interceptions. Seems we don't have a return game worth squat. Bad reads and decision making. The defense is seems mediocre. Possibly Daniel Brown is a sleeper. It's not completely on the Ravens as the refs might of been in favor for the Eagles. Fast start my rear. Football is football. Great players will be great. Period.

Just a little perspective...

After listening to Harbs, Sizzle, and a few of the other players in their locker room interviews, it appears that we were without communication all of the first half of the game.  Harbs said we didn't have it for most of the first half at all, and when it did start to come back it was very crackly and the guys could get or understand the calls.

Harbs seemed to indicate that it was preseason and they didn't do any game planning as they are still evaluating players and looking for players at certain positions, which is normal for us at this point in preseason.  Sizzle said they didn't game plan and they definitely didn't see any of that in practice. Sizzle also alluded to the fact that generally no one is familiar with Chip's style of offense except those that probably see it most within the division.

Would seem that ole' Chip kind of gave us a shot to the bough by game planning a bit more than we were expecting, lol.  It would make sense as he has a lot to prove to validate all his offseason changes.  Granted we did have a lackluster performance by the ones at points, but it does put some things in perspective!  It is kind of hard to perform in an away stadium with little to no communication on a preseason game plan when your opponents have both.

I'm glad that KO sat this out. We need our OL when the season comes around. Same with Perriman assuming that he'll be ready to go once the season starts. I really miss Jacoby Jones on the returns. We need someone shifty and quick who can make miracles happen. Like what the Eagles kid did on that return. He ran out from under piles that I thought must have him. Shame we can't use our small guys, Forsett and Smith Sr for fear of injuries, since they will be missed in offense if that would happen. Forsett looked good last night. Still better at reading the play and getting through people without getting touched.

Bright spot is Renner. If he does well next week, the Ravens will have to consider keeping him, if he does well the next two weeks Schaub may be in job jeopardy. Was he considered a first round pick before his shoulder was hurt in college?

Also I just found out that Waller is the grandson of Fats Waller, my favorite 40's jazz artist. He was so good he would sell his songs 4-5 times each because the record companies knew that if they didn't buy it they would loose money. He called his morning pint of gin his 'liquid ham and eggs'.

Well John Harbaugh had fun in Philadelphia this week cracking it up doing the Donald Trump thing. Then they get smoke by Philly in the game. This nonchalant attitude is exactly why the Ravens don't get any home playoff games, they don't keep their foot on the pedal all the time.

I take nothing from this game. Teams have gone undefeated in pre season play and then started the regular season 1-5, and teams have started 5-0 after going winless in the pre season. The pre season is for judging individual performances, but not for the starters, for your backups. Who will make the team, and determining the depth chart. Your starters know how to play, and when the season starts they will be ready.

So Joe's terrible performance could somehow be related to a communication breakdown from the sidelines?

Who was calling plays then?

Maybe that's what Trestman needs to work on with him, giving him a little more control so he's more comfortable on his own, because this is bound to happen again in a reg. season game. Anybody remember the SB?
