wow, its going to be heartbreaking to cut any of these guys. I wouldn't want to have Harbaughs job on that day.

Me, too. He may be a keeper on versatility alone.

Question is whether he's in our best 8 to miss the cut. He surely won't make the 53-man roster (Steve Smith, Perriman, Campanaro, Aiken, Marlon Brown, Butler and Waller are clearly ahead of him, as may be DeAndre Carter, and I'm quite sure we'll keep no mre than 7 WR's on the roster, maybe only 6). So, if Harbaugh wants to keep him, there's two ways: either they "find" some kind of injury (or he, indeed, gets injured) and stash him on the IR for the season, or cut him and hope to get him back on the PS. There's a good chance he'll stick around if they want to keep him.

Great article as usual. Great camp this year, there will be some disappointing cuts. You are right Sami, I do not want to be in Harbs shoes the next two weeks. I love the Philly reporters amazed to see Joe throw, Tucker kick and all the other positives they saw from the Ravens. Let the real games begin.

from everything that i have seen and heard.... it actually sounds like Boyle has out produced Maxx up to this point. While he has probably also been more inconsistent - he has also seemed to make more plays-thats a good sign... (not saying he is better then Maxx-just acknowledging that we may have found two very good TE's)!

Excellent, excellent coverage. Thanks Mr. Byrne! Your articles are always informative and entertaining. I am worried about B. Perriman. Hope he gets on the field soon, but he is going to be so far behind. What are the chances we add a veteran training camp casualty @ WR to the roster? Ex-Terp Kevin Dorsey is a FA, and could possibly help. He is a quality person with size and speed. Under utilized @ MD.

I've always believed the Ravens are one of the finest organization in the NFL and every time I read one of Mr. Byrne's articles he confirms that belief. I can't think of anyone who expresses so articulately what "our" team is about. Always upbeat, Mr. Byrne's column is the first thing I want to read after a win... or a loss. Continue your good work Mr. Byrne and " talk with you next week."

Honestly, every Terps WR in the past few years has been under-utilized because we haven't had a good QB since that one inexplicable season /w O'Brien.

I love our Ravens too, Kevin.

Thanks for sharing your observations. You make us even more proud to be part of the Flock than we already are.

Very enlightening and, again, very low-key with the predictions!

I need and have come to appreciate Kevin Bryne's "Take" on the Ravens because I have quickly learned not to take Harbs' hyperbole too far!  :oldwiseman:
