Well Waller has so much upside and I'm hoping he makes the final roster because we are waiting until after the major update to start the league. I'm practicing with Waller and Maxx over Marlon and Pitta because I want to start developing them as soon as possible. I want to trade Pitta for a corner back or a FS, to be honest. 

 

I'm going to have to get used to running out of shotgun, sometimes just to open things up. 

 

Playing the dolphins defensive front is good competition. The entire AFC East really. I also find that our line doesn't play to their ratings, but I wonder if it's because the strength is in the core of the line and it's easy to clog that up even with bums on the other side. This is why either shotgun is needed or plays where KO,Zuttah, and Yanda either break off and get to the second level while someone else trap blocks the man they release, or they kick out and pull. That's why I'm trying to put together a playbook that focuses on the offensive line and using them as weapons. Madden isn't realistic or complex enough in regards to line play so we have to get creative to get the most out of them.

 

I've done really well in terms of running in open space but I need to focus more on running in between the tackles. I do the "make yourself small" move and I cut back into the middle well sometimes but for the most part when a good player with a good team just sticks people in the middle they automatically seem to negate how great the core three should be. I will continue to refine my movements in the trenches and work on reading who will get off their blocks.

And by don't use it, I mean really REALLY stay away from it as much as possible. I ran up 178 yards last game. It was the first time I ran for over 100 yards. Controlled the game.

 

Best advice I could give you, I actually used the regular Ravens Offensive playbook for this one and ran straight up the middle depending on the positions of the nose tackles...

First patch is out, how do you guys feel? Also the week one rosters are out Friday, in which I wonder if EA really thought this whole cut system out. They do weekly roster updates each week, the rosters are cut to 53. Why on earth is Player Cuts an option in year one of CFM? Things that they do(they being EA Sports) just confuse me and I can never understand why they don't think things through.

 

Apparently from what I'm reading the all new drive goals they implemented this year, along with the Confidence trait "broke" Franchise Mode this year. Like it has ruined it from what I'm reading. Now the drive goals to me didn't make any sense, the goal of every drive is to put up points. That doesn't change throughout the game. Confidence trait to me we can do without, it's not necessary. I get why they implemented it but it's really not needed.

EA sports has shown a dedication to breaking the game just so they can "fix" it at a later time and use said "fix" as a selling point or proof of innovation. 

 

On the other hand, Madden users complain about the stupidest things and give EA ammo to break the game over and over. XP was fine when you had to practice for it. People complained that 2000 XP a week was too much and too easy, so EA killed it. But whose fault is it that they used the XP to quickly boost their players in unreal fashion? The gamers. Now all EA had to do was to keep the 2000 XP a week and make it so that it was automatically used for awareness, play rec(for defense), stamina, and perhaps toughness. They could also have the game prep to target specific players and skills of the gamer's choosing, on top of practice.

 

How do I feel? I feel like I am getting shafted. Just like living under the "one party" rule here in Baltimore, when one group holds the power and doesn't have your best interests at heart, you get shafted.

Generally speaking the only complaints I hear about XP is how it's too RPG like and that it has no business in a sports game, specifically in a football game. 

 

Funny how people to this day still mention NFL 2K5, 10 years later. When you look at the NBA 2K Series, and the details that go into that game compared to what EA does with Madden. For as good as their NBA Series is, imagine how much they would have killed EA/Madden if they were still making games today.

Yep, its confirmed, turbo button causes defenders to shed blockers quickly, making it more of a magnet button. Not to be used anywhere but in the open field away from engaged blockers.

I have been playing franchise exclusively and loving it. Have yet to test my online chops, but I hope the cheese and glitches are toned down at a minimum.

Breshad is insanely good in this game. He will burn everyone and makes contested catches. Hope it carries over into real life lol

He was good at UCF too.

Anyone else stop playing Madden yet? I'll play it once in a while but mostly spend my time playing NBA2K16 and MyGM. Madden is too broken for me to keep playing. I hear the next patch that comes out may cause gamers to restart their CFM once again like the last patches did.

All I play is Madden and Halo 5 since I quit Destiny. If anyone has an Xbox One and has Madden 16, hit me up for my tag so we can play!

So Flacco's deep ball accuracy took a hit in Madden 16. Not sure what the numbers look like but every time BP is wide open on a 9 route, the ball goes 10 yards out of bounds even when Flacco plants his feet. I like to do PA all go online and this play used to be money to Perriman but now it's not worth it. Also, our WR's outside of SSS can't catch a cold. I mean they'll be literally wide open and still drop it. Even Dennis Pitta has let me down more than a few times. I started to play with Green Bay yesterday and their WR's not only catch everything, but they spectacular catch everything as well lol. Going to give my Ravens a break for online play :( it really hurts me to say to say that, but our offense just isn't reliable in Madden at the moment.

For some reason you need PS plus to play Draft champions but not Ultamite team even when both modes have an offline functions.

Check out Ingraven Vids on YouTube. He plays Madden 16 and his favorite team is the Ravens. He gives Flacco a lot of love which is refreshing.

I haven't really been on it much for a few weeks so thought I'd give it a go today, I turned it off after about 45 minutes. For some reason the computer decides to make bone head plays for me at crucial times and quite a few of the times they result in interceptions.Is there any way to stop this happening? It's cost me a couple of games already in the current season. 

 

I'm in my third season with Baltimore, failed to make the play-offs in the first two seasons finishing 8-8 and 10-6. I'm currently 8-2 but it's by luck more than anything I think, my WR's can't catch anything. Looking forward to the next draft though, I've got 2 1st rd picks, 2 3rd rd picks, 2 4th rd picks and 1 each for the others.

So EA released another patch for Madden 16, and within the patch they added a new mode called Ranked Draft Champions.

Read the above as I'm not going to post everything here but from I have read on Operation Sports, this patch has gotten great reviews. For some, they said uninstalling the game and reinstalling the game with the new patch has made the game much better. Also some have said, there are things they did that they didn't list in the patch notes that have improved the game. 

 

I haven't got to playing it, about to play it for the first time in a while so going to see if I see the same results as those on OS.

There seems to be a loop hole to gathering top draft picks on franchise mode. Yanda was touching on 36 years of age, he had become my back up RG and I needed some cap space so I decided to try and trade him. The best I could get was a 5th and 6th round pick in the following years draft so I thought I'd use picks on both sides to get a better deal. I gave the Jags: Yanda & the 17th pick of the 4th rd; in return I got: Pick 9 of the 1st rd and picks in rounds 4 & 6 for the following year. 

 

I've done it quite a few times and I ended up with 4 first round picks & 3 second round picks in the previous year and I've now got 6 1st rd picks and 3 2nd rd picks for this year's draft. The Raiders are forever finishing with the 1st overall pick so I traded this year's 32nd pick of the 1st & 3rd rounds for their 1st & 4th rd picks next year.

Yeah I will simetimes wait for the trade deadline and then trade my first pick for one of a losing team. What is funny is that they would have the value messed up and they would give me their second and third as well for me to get a higher pick.

I'm going to take a break from playing Madden 16 online. It's seems as though the higher you move up the ranks, the douchier the people you're playing against get. I never plug my mic in but I can hear them trash talking thru the TV and it's getting annoying. I like to listen to the commentary so I don't like muting it and I haven't figured out how to disable the output of their voice via the TV.

It's always Cowboys fans too that say some ignorant stuff. I'm in the top 1,000 on XB1 so I just keep on playing people with really good records and I can see why. They run the same plays over and over, they use the best teams and the CPU is always giving them gifts. I remember I played the Panthers five times in a row. It's ridiculous. Madden 16 online was extremely fun for a while, but I guess it's time to catch up on all the other new games I've stashed.

Defense is very hard to play in Madden. Every now and then i put n a play after play i cant stop them from scoring

Yeah I have a defense with about 6 99 overalls and I still can't keep QBs from throwing 80% some games. Like a below average starter like Johnny Manziel is dropping dimes on me with stupid slant routes, curls, and practically anything to the TE

Some of the dropped picks are ridiculous.

Clearly, 82 catching for a CB doesn't mean the same thing as 82 catching for a WR.
