Waller's 6'6 frame will keep him in the NFL. I think he will secure the last roster spot as the Ravens will try to put Butler on the practice squad. Trestman loves big guys and I think Waller won't get a ton of throws, but he will get some throughout the season and he will help us in red zone situations. Campanaro is now playing lights out so he is in. Perriman and Smith are locks. Aiken also has shown starter potential. The receiver who should be worried about making the team is Marlon Brown with his history of injuries and him not playing as much better if not worse than he did his rookie season. I loved the guy back in 2013 but he has struggled this season. My bet is the receiver battle goes down to whether the Ravens like Butler's upside or Brown's upside more and that is difficult to say because Marlon Brown was in the starter conversation before the offseason began.

Perriman Update: He was watching practice again in a knee brace. He supposedly has been diagnosed with a sprained PCL according to jamison hensley. IMO, that type of diagnosis is worrisome because if he heals and then falls on that knee again (which is likely as he is a fast, physical WR who goes up for a ton of jump catches), he could easily sprain it again or worse. I wouldn't be surprised if he plays this upcoming season w/ a knee brace.

They've probably known this for a while. That's why he didn't watch practices in baltimore. He was most likely using that time to rehab in the pool & such. The ravens probably didn't want to use the eagles' rehab facilities which is why perriman's able to watch practices from the field out there.

Coming into camp, the WR competition was probably the most crowded, but I think it's much clearer now. I think we'll keep Smith, Perriman, Camp, Aiken, Brown, and Waller. The competition is probably still open for Butler to take that final spot from Waller, but Waller, who presumably has a higher ceiling, is trending up while Butler has been trending down. Marlon Brown has been mentioned as a "lock", but if Butler and Waller both play lights out and Marlon doesn't get it going, there may be a small chance he is the odd man out, but I think the most likely scenario is that we keep the six that I mentioned.

Waller is a lock to make this team. They will keep 7 receivers, especially with injuries to Brown and Perriman. I think they might cut ASA Jackson this year. They have overlooked many of his transgressions waiting for him to emerge. For him to play so poorly this camp and not even lock down the returner job should put his roster spot in jeopardy. With the emergence of Nick Perry we will probably keep 5 safeties (Hill, Lewis, Brooks, Levine and Perry) and 5 corners Arrington, Smith, Melvin, Walker and Webb/Vaughn.

The hard cuts will come at linebacker where Orr, McClelland and Brown are fighting for one or maybe 2 spots.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Webb or Reid get the ax this year.

I mean when you are 6'6 and run a 4.46 forty and good hands you will make noise. He just needs to continue to get better at route running.

I don't see Webb getting cut because of the dead money resulting in terminating his contract. Plus with how many injuries the Ravens had last season in the secondary, I bet they hold onto him because he is a solid starter in the NFL. His PFF score was low last year because everybody's was besides Jimmy Smith because when Smith went down so did the entire secondary. Reid is on the bubble for sure with Myers coming in but I think the Ravens keep Reid because of depth and if Monroe, Wagner, or Hurst went down I think he is the next person you look to. Asa Jackson wouldn't surprise me especially when Levine last year played corner for us and did an okay job. Arthur Brown has a high chance of being cut because Orr has outplayed them. I wouldn't be surprised if Steven Means also made the roster he is a deep reach but he has been playing alright as well.

Waller is 6'6 big catch radius runs4'3 and 240lbs he's going to pack on bout ten pounds of muscle in the next year or so you cant teach that and Ravens don't want another team to make Waller their project the Ravens want the first crack at it. if he stays healthy eventually he'll be the Ravens starting WR in the next couple of years right now he's a rookie but in a year or two he'll become gritty hardnosed and tough I see this with Perriman as well give Perriman a year or two and he'll be telling DB's to mind their business too

Let's go back a few thousand years and there's Nero sitting in the Colosseum owner's box and out there in the bloody sand and hot sun are two opposing gladiators having a friendly "amistad" get together. No way! So how do you get two opposing professional football teams, who are trained to fight 'till the last man standing, play a friendly get together. Teams should meet for the first time when they're out of the starting gate.

Priorities always rule- and change. Right now I am getting more and more excited about Waller's' progression. Point blank- Perriman is on the back-burner- and 100% Unproven.

We will be fine !

Campanaro has been playing well, not lights out and it is practice.

He's shown a propensity for unsoundness. So we'll see.

Let's watch the Eagles preseason game.

Let's watch the Eagles preseason game.

Compared to the rest of the receivers battling for the #2 and #3 spots he has. He is the one that is consistently making plays. With his limited opportunities with the other 6-7 battling for roster spots he has been finding soft spots. He has been in a lot of articles recently. I wasn't a huge Campanaro fan when he was drafted but if he keeps finding separation I will learn to like him. That was one of our biggest weaknesses last year and the last several years. We don't have that true #1 receiver like a lot of teams do and that makes our offense stand still in about half our games for at least a quarter or two. I'm not saying he is playing like Wes Welker in his prime, but 2 weeks ago people were talking about him being the one let go by the Ravens and now after he plays in a game and against an opposing team he is catching them all.

Glad that Juice managed to hang on to that ball. He might receive some confidence from the coaches and still have a role. Seems to me that the fullback in the NFL is slowly dying and as a fan of very physical, full contact football, it makes me sad. That's one of the reasons I like Green Bay's Eddie Lacy, he keeps that in there. Hope there's a role for Juice beyond blocking, even with a very passing approach we will likely have. Otherwise he'll be gone next year to give a space for a 4th TE or a 7th WR or something like that. I want to see our offense to be able to bull through a crowd of defenders. Now, I am aware those things lead to more injuries and are less flashy on the stats, I'm just sharing my preferences as an audience.

Does anyone know anything about the report that Perriman has sprained PCL and was walking around in a knee brace??

Anyway, does anyone know more about it?? Was it an official diagnosis or just Jamison Hensley's take on the injury? Was Perriman really wearing a brace??

Because if it's true, then Perriman will likely miss the entire pre-season and be questionable for W1 at best. And if that is the case, someone from the Ravens's training staff better start answering some questions like who was responsible for not scheduling the MRI sooner, who wasn't competent enough to diagnose the sprain for 2 weeks, why are such medical "professionals" part of this team and what will be the consequences.

I really really hope it was just a misinterpretation by Hensley, but if anyone has any info, PLEASE, share! Because I don't know, I think this news would kind of overshadow all the joint practice reports about who made a nice catch and who danced at the backfield.

I don't see why everyone says Marlon Brown is a lock to make the team. he hasn't done anything in preseason. Waller is bigger, faster, and has better hands. If I had to choose between them, Waller wins hands down.

Disappointed in Marlon, I had high hopes for him.

Shocker- Webb and Jah both dealing with injuries. Why do they keep Jah on the team?
