[News] Brandon Williams Next Dominant Ravens Defender

27 posts in this topic

This year will really prove how good Williams can be. He needs to be the top rated D-tackle in the league simply because he plays for the Baltimore Ravens. It is tradition that we have a few of the best defensive players in the league. Otherwise, it simply doesn't feel like the Ravens D!

Brandon Williams works extremely hard but he also knows how to stay loose and have fun. Marvel at Brandon's power moves on the field and laugh at his dance moves off the field. Brandon is one of my favorite players who will a be key to our defensive success for years to come.

Don't think the "D" line will be like last year.....but the test will be when cincy comes to town and run's the qb sneak up the middle on us.....they could have only used that play last year in both games and they would have crushed us(they gained yards at will every time they sneaked it on us)....We will see!

He's really great to watch. He's definitely more of a Kelly Gregg-style NG, so what he does is more subtle than what Ngata did for a lot of his career here, but watching him play is still one of my favorite things to do during games.

Out of everything to watch and be excited for this year it's not Jimmy and Webb being healthy, not our shiny new toy in Perriman, its not Smitty's last season or CJ beastinf again. I can honestly say its going to be watching our young superstars on the Dline. Brandon, Carl and Timmy are the foundation for our lights out Defense. I can only hope and pray we can keep Upshaw after this year because that dude is scary good also.

We have so many so awesome young franchise guys on the team, it's crazy. I mean like really really cool people you'd love to be around with like Tucker, Brandon, Flacco, J. Smith. All seem like exceptional personalities in their own way. The vibe in that locker room must be Legendary! I actually don't know whose jersey to buy.

Not that it matters, but what of Terrence Cody?

Is he a ghost?

Cody was released after the animal cruelty thing. He is long gone.

we will b fine without ngata, we have a deep DL, that's one of 2 positions that the ravens always have depth at, the other is inside LBs RBs.

it's pretty awesome that this guys arms are significantly thicker than most people's legs. imagine trying on his suits? he's 6'1" so the sleeves can't be too long. A normal mortal might be able to use his shirt like a wing suit.

It was clear when we drafted him that he was a class act... it's nice to see his play improve so fast. It's always great to see the good guys succeed.

No Doubt. brought here to be Ngata's replacement, and had 2 seasons to learn the position behind Haloti...Another good move by OZ. Brandon's a must have for this years success.

It is one thing to have potential. It is quite another to see how B-Will has developed himself into a future Pro-Bowl type player and leader. It's called passion and work ethic or as he put it - "nose to the grindstone." We have some great examples of this among the young guys on this team. And in the middle of our defense, there they stand; Williams and Mosley.

Hell be around, If we lock him up. He's a Free Agent the year after next. That's a big reason I think we can't sign Yanda and Osemele. There's also Tucker and Upshaw. But by letting Osemele walk and moving Urschel into the LG position, you free up money for the following year to sign Williams, as well as Wagner, and Juszczyk. Williams is harder to replace then Osemele is. I know, I know, it's not for two years, but that's how it works. This year effects next year, and so on.

Lewis, Reed, Ngata, Suggs... Williams? Another addition to Ravens Mount Crushmore. Ravens have a legacy of great defenders. Jernigan and Mosley are also making names for themselves.
