We have our starting safeties in Lewis and Hill. He will be a good addition, especially with Elam out, and I expect to see him in some nickle packages but starting I don't see happening

This kid is real raw talent....you can't teach speed. He got a lot of learning last year. This year with Smith, Arrington, Lewis and Hill to guide him he will make huge strides and may end up starting in the nickel package with the players I just named. That is a very strong secondary. Having Webb, Melvin, Levine and (maybe) Walker and Vaughn behind them gives us some serious quality depth in the secondary. I'm not sure Elam would have made the team and still not sure Jackson will. I don't know about Trawick so he can only help if he steps up. My guess is he gets cut.

Having Brooks healthy is a great trade for losing Elam.

If this defense isn't top 5 I'll eat my hat.

I just marvel at how hard he must have worked in rehab to accomplish this feat. It isn't easy to come back from tearing both the ACL and MCL in 7-8 months and compete at an NFL level period. That just shows this guy has a lot of heart and gumption!

Finally some good news on the injury frontier!! We all know how much appreciated the depth is at DB position.

I only hope the trainers won't experiment on him (or anyone else for that matter) with their strength training program and pop another biceps.

I thought Brooks did alright for a rookie last year. A lot of the time he was in the right spot, but he just didn't make the play. I hope he heals up to where he once was, since that speed he had was one of his greatest assets.

I'm glad/excited he's back, but I hope he didn't rush back to further injury himself..

He's not coming back w/out the team phsyician(s) full clearance and approval.

Terrence is going to take full advantage of the opportunity that Matt didn't. Don't worry for Matt though... The Finish Line is holding his position for him.

Glad he is back.... his athleticism and physicality will provide some freedom to do some things that we couldn't without him and he will be a year more polished. We are truly two deep at S again!

I saw alot of potential in Terrence his rookie year. He reminds me of Brenard pollard.. In a good way. I'm actually kind of relieved hes been taken off the PUP because we needed his depth.

Good to have him back, we need some depth at Safety.

Also, is there a way to change the browser back to the old white background with black text for the news pages, this white text on black background is challenging for my old eyes.

Can anyone name the last time a coach said a player coming back from ACL surgery was BEHIND schedule? Of course he's "way ahead" in his rehab. He would have been better off starting the season on the PUP list. I hope his return goes better than RG3's much publicized miracle return in 2013..

What are you all going to say if he tears it up again? As long as he is playing in December that matters.

TB obviously takes the game seriously if he can come back from a ACL/MCL in less than a year. KLew might have competition.

I think the team doctors are far more proficient than I am and unless you are an orthopedic surgeon, more than you. So, if he is out there now, it is due to the fact that he is cleared for full contact football practice. What more can I say? I just don't like being a negative Nancy just for the heck of it. I rather admire the work ethic it must have taken to fully rehabilitate his multiple ligament tears to come back! I think you should do the same.

Yea them team doctors did Robert Griffin a lot of good. I don't think we, as fans, should create a atmosphere that encourages players to come back to soon. That's just dumb.

First of all apples and oranges. Griffin was a QB that the Redskins mortgaged 3 yrs of draft picks for and picked him #2 overall. Brooks is a safety who was a 3rd round pick. And, nobody was clamoring for Brooks to come back from PUP as long as I can recall. So, your argument fails to make sense to me. He is on the field simply because he believes he is ready and the doctors and coaches seem to agree. I don't recall a petition of outrage because Brooks was rehabbing and not on the field by any of our fans!
