[News] Late For Work 8/18: Joe Flacco In Line For Another Raise, Breshad Perriman To Get MRI

"Perriman set to get MRI", you mean to tell me after ALL this time he has yet to get one????

That was my thought also.

A lot might have to be due to Perrimans feedback, he probably felt like he was okay, but just wasn't able to do certain things, and wasn't showing signs of a injury that required a MRI....Medicine is a tricky science......Also he might have made it worse if he was trying to rehab it...Until anyone says anything it's a guessing game...

Had to read the article twice to make sure it didn't say ANOTHER MRI. Am I in the Twilight Zone to think an MRI would have been done long ago?

A little (understatement) dismayed at the fact that Perriman hasn't had an MRI yet. How can you give, even a tentative, diagnosis without utilizing all of the available technological advances in sports medicine to pinpoint the exact injury/severity?

Just got a notification from Bleacher Report saying his MRI is "normal" and it should be a week or so until he returns to the field.

There's plenty of depth and talent at the receiver position, not getting worked-up until there is no more depth.

so... name a receiver that can replace him as our #2(because lets be real, perriman was gonna be our #2, not aiken)

ill wait... lol

Perriman has yet to play a game, so it's not like we know what we are missing out on, can only focus on the guys who are actually playing....I know a lot of people think with his 4.2 speed is going to all of sudden make him the answer, but as SSS has proven if you run good routes you will get separation regardless of your speed...Now speed helps, but the other guys run in the 4.40 range, maybe one or two run in the 4.5 range, but run good routes and you will get open....

Didn't I tell you guys Arthur Brown has awaken and ready to make some noise. Next year he will become one of our best players on defense.

While this is true, none of that depth and talent has the speed to take the top off the defense.

So outside chance he gets reps in 3d pre-season game. More likely though it will be 4th pre-season game. But who knows with Ravens injuries? A day or so turned into 3 weeks. A week or so could be months

Arthur Brown had an "OK" game vs the Saints 3rd and 4th string.  I wouldn't say he has totally awaken just yet.

If the Bleacher Report is accurate that Perriman's MRI was normal, that's great news. However, it makes no sense to me to have not done so before now, that the prudent move would have been to get a MRI earlier from the standpoint of having the best information to base rehab on. A MRI is a rather standard course of action for knee injuries so I am still scratching my head over waiting, just to help get an accurate diagnosis and treatment plan or rule out a more serious injury.

Well the coaching staff noticed it as well and gave him first team reps. Just saying he may be out of the dog house with Harbs now because his talent was never the question I think it was something else going on.

Personally once Perriman missed a week, further action should have been taken then, and not now...but it is what it is, and if they say the MRI came back normal that is good news...Must be a big time deep bruise though...

I 100% agree with you. Plus, if the team relied on one player the franchise would just be called Raven (without the "s").

Brandon Williams continues to amaze me. Can not think of another man his size that can do all of the stunts he pulls off with ease.

I really like Marlon and Aiken but what has changed from last year with our recievers that makes you think any of them could carry the #2 load and replace Torrey's speed? Obviously the FO doesnt agree or they wouldnt have used their first round pick on a reciever to take the #2 spot and hopefully grow into the #1 after SSS retires. I like your confidence in our guys but Perriman NEEDS this practice otherwise his growth may be stunted this year.

I look around the league after the first week of pre-season, and i don't feel so bad at all compared to key players teams lost for the season due to injury...I consider ourselves pretty lucky so far...

When you have as much invested in Perriman as the Ravens do, an MRI should have been done at week 1 or sooner (an it may have been), hopefully this is not the 2015 version of Webb. Lets get it healed completely and not cause additional injury.

I agree. Arthur Brown will still continue to be trade bait.
