55 posts in this topic

I hope he sleeps with the playbook under his pillow. He's got to maximize his mental game until he can ge back on the field again.

Get well, go Ravens!

I'd much rather see this kid sit out preseason and come back a 1 trick pony on effective 9 routes due to a lack of training camp, then see him rushed back for meaningless games only to be on crutches for the bulk of the season.

Be smart people.

We need his size and speed. None have the speed that he does. If it is the Osgood-Schlatter disease they should have done due diligence before drafting him. There were lots of receivers in this year's draft. Speed isn't worth anything if your not playing. Who is the fastest guy on the team right now? We don't even have a serious threat for punt returns or kick offs and that is pretty sad. I am a little worried about not having a burner playing on our team right now. Key word is "playing" not rehabbing some where. At this point it looks as if the curse continues that the Ravens can't pick a wide receiver in the draft. I am hoping this isn't the case. Maybe he is our secret weapon and we are hiding him? Like the Stealth bomber? I really like Waller and have high hopes for him but it would be better if we had them both of them because then we become dangerous.

It's still preseason folks, let the rook take as much time as needed to properly heal(maybe even some extra time just to be safe). Look I understand everyone wants to see the Kid do somethings but honestly wouldn't you rather see him shine weeks 1-16, the playoffs, and Superbowl or do you really want him to be rushed back only to re injure or further injure his knee where he's out regular season weeks or worse...?

We have a plethora of hungry receiver talent top to bottom stop worrying and lets protect the teams biggest investment this year. Don't believe my words go see how Kevin White and the bears are doing right now. I for one know and am happy that we have a top notch organization whose talented and knows what they are doing in every department and if they want Breshad Perriman to sit out than I'll take their word for it simple as that.

Take your time Breshad Perriman have to be smart homie. Patience his time will come when it come's y'all.

I like that they're combining practice /w the Eagles. That's a good high-tempo team to work against.

Yes it is a great opportunity to work against a high-tempo team, but I just don't want to hear about any fights or injuries.

I just want to see him play. Patience is not one of my virtues but I would rather have him rest it now and be ready for the season. I live in Florida and my son went to UCF so I have seen him play in college. Will love seeing him play for the Ravens. I believe we are going to win the Super Bowl. People laugh at me when I tell them that. I don't care! Why not us? I BELIEVE!

Brashad is going to be just fine. He'll be out there burning it up in no time. Most of you should know better than to listen to Harbaugh's baloney anyway. Breshad is going to be a star this year.

With the type of offense I expect to see from Trestman (lots of play action with short to intermediate routes) I don't think Perriman will be much more than a decoy most of the time. Receivers like Williams, Gilmore, Smith and Campanaro will be much more effective in this type of offense. I expect the offense to be similar to last year in that the number of downfield throws will be reduced and used to keep the defense honest.

So Perriman may turn out to be a weapon when he recovers but right now I don't think the staff is particularly worried how long it takes.

Ravens need Perriman to stretch the field, keep 8 men out of the box to help running game, and make team think twice about blitzing. Jacoby and Torrey were not dominant receivers, but they stretch the field enough for Foresett, Daniels to make plays. Every good offense needs the the big play threat. As long as he's available week one, I think Ravens are good.

Perriman is still learning the O. It's not like he sits at home. He's still there in the classrooms and film rooms. His biggest problem was his focus and that can fixed while he heals.Keep him focused on the playbook and watching films and he'll be fine when he gets back. You can't teach the kind of speed he has. You can the rest. He don't need to be on the field if he's injured to learn the offense. Flacco threw to Tory for years. He knows what speed looks like. He may finally have one even he can't overthrow.

Its time for all the Camp followers to rally.  He is automatic. He reminds me of young Wes Welker   All he needs is some holy water to ward off injuries.

This is ridiculous. A "bruised knee" does not keep a 21 year old out of action for 2 weeks. How long before we read about how he's getting his knee scoped? Waste of 2 weeks.

How about Marlon Brown? Will he ever play or practice again?

The Periman story is taking all the attention away from the fact that Brown has a serious injury and hasn't practiced in three weeks and is not even close.

There is no way he is a lock at this point and should be slotted as the 6/7 WR

if I'm not mistaken brown returned to practice the other day? Meanwhile perriman got an MRI done yesterday. Don't know why that wasn't done immediately but whatever, not particularly the news I wanted to hear but maybe this will finally reveal its nothing serious. Staying optimistic.

Brown dressed and jogged around during individual drills but that's about it. He has done that a couple times over the last couple weeks but no real running.

Periman must have had a slight tear and I wouldn't be surprised if this isn't his second mri..

Is it me or are these the same names every year?

The Ravens were short 13 players by the end of practice:

John Urschel and Robert Myers continued to be sidelined with concussions.

Jah Reid, Kelechi Osemele, Lardarius Webb, and Michael Campanaro were out for unspecified reasons.

Steven Means and Asa Jackson, both of whom suffered injuries against the Saints, did not return.

Allen Reisner, Matt Elam, and Brent Urban, all of whom have been identified with season-threatening injuries were not present.

Breshad Perriman continued his absence from the knee injury which has now sidelined him for more than 2 weeks.

Darren Waller left practice early with a towel over his head.

An MRI revealed no additional damage to Ravens rookie WR Breshad Perriman's knee, but he's still sidelined. http://fw.to/6PflZ0W
