[News] News And Notes: John Harbaugh Gets Political After Practice

72 posts in this topic

It'll be great to get Perriman back but it looks like we had better not count on it for a while. As Harbs said "hopefully soon" and in the meantime take some Tums for that 'pit in the stomach' feeling. Also I'm not sure I like hearing that Maxx is diving for balls in practice. You can injure body parts that way and you're not even in a game that counts!  Wonder what happened to Means, Webb and Aiken?

Glad to see Jernigan is back in action. Really gonna need him to carry the load this year.

Really thought perriman would be back today. I'm giving it until Monday before I officially start to worry. Harbaugh saying it's giving him a pit in his stomach doesn't make my stomach feel to well about it either.

"As he scrambled to his right, it appeared Flacco was going to throw the ball out of bounds. Instead, he slung a 20-yard pass across his body"

That brings me back to a certain Super Bowl play.

I'm praying for Perriman, just to heal well and be OK. If you are so inclined, I invite you to join me. Get well Breshad, we are all pulling for you.

Perriman and Brown both out. I really want to see Brown back, he needs reps, because I think he can still be a quality starter if he'd get the chance. Also....let's NOT talk politics on a football site.

I'm sorry RavensBaltimore, I fat fingered that thumbs down, it was supposed to be thumbs up.

Must be something in the air. I tried to give it a thumbs up to offset your mistake and accidentally hit the down arrow, too. Poor RavensBaltimore is going to wonder what's going on.

Moderator #3 - somedays no good deed goes unpunished. I swear I should never try on a phone or tablet. If you are directly over the correct button it hits the wrong one. I have to stay way to the side of the button I want to get it right. It is not this site, it is just about all the ones I frequent.

I hear you. I'm on a tablet. The buttons are too close together and also in a bad place. People are always downvoting posts when they're just trying to scroll.

I'm not a doctor (actually I have a couple, but I'm not an allopathic medical doctor), but reading up on Osgood shattler makes me get a pit in my stomach. It is a childhood disease frequently found in athletes but can sometimes have lingering sequella in adults that range from mild to potentially severe. There is no sense speculating on scenarios, that is why I'm just praying. With the way Harbs is talking (and I don't blame him or the doctors at all) I'm prepared for six weeks and hopefully not months because that would mean that his season is over. You can neg me if you want, but the only thing that I can do is pray for him, it really does work, if you want some of the best case studies, get the book ' The psychobiology of mind body healing' by Ernest Rossi which is the most scientific study of the area that I know of. I forget if Ernest was an MD or just PhD but he was the student of Milton Erikson MD who legitimized hypnosis in western medical practice.

Not to worry, I gave him 3 up arrows.

They must have seen something on an MRI to hold perriman out this long. Even us normal people wouldn't be out this long due to a bruised knee and there is no way possible Harbs and the doctor are this shallow with communication.

I would be willing to bet it's something they are hoping will clear up with time for Perriman I just hope it's not too serious 11 practices and Harbs not having any new info is just a coach trying to keep it under his hat.

Not really. A bone bruise takes time to heal, longer than a tissue bruise. Google it - the healing time is longer than you probably think.

My favorite part: "Kicker Justin Tucker accomplished his goal of hitting an expensive camera mounted on a pole behind the uprights. Tucker didn%u2019t take it down, but still gave a little fist pump."

Wow just googled that bone bruise and it seems that it could require substantial treatment and time to heal depending on how deep the bruise really is.

It's only 2 weeks of practice and people are saying Perriman is on the IR.... People freak out way too much bruises on joints like the elbow and knee take around 1-4 weeks to get better in most cases. Of course there are always some more severe. The coaching staff would have said if it was serious. A bruise isn't going to heal if he's straining it in practice every day and landing on it, that makes it bigger and more of a problem. It's been two weeks relax. If he doesn't play by preseason game 3 that is when you need to start questioning where Perriman really is.

Perriman, some "knee injury". That is the best they can do? A questionable pick again in round 1 just gets more questionable as time goes by. Now, Maxx Williams, WOW! There is a guy who can play.

Everybody's missing the big picture by focusing on Perriman. What about Marlon Brown? He hasn't been practicing either. And Kamar Aiken missed the first game due to fatigue. Fatigue, really, when you're competing for a spot? Waller must be loving this.

Harbs had me until he said he was "going Trump." Not too sure what he was trying to say, but aligning himself with that goofball isn't smart.

It's a shame about Perriman and hoping he's not fragile like a toothpick? On the other hand I really like Waller and he seems to be durable so far but he wasn't the #1 pick. I really expected more from our #1 pick. Only CJ Mosley has lived up to draft status in the last 3 years. Elam has been a bust and Perriman had one practice, fell on his knee and hasn't been seen since. Here's hoping he returns soon because we need his speed. Not really happy about our choices for kick returns and punt returns. Where is the speed? Otherwise we look pretty good.
