Buffalo Bills and Tyrod Taylor

I watched Johnny Manziel complete a similar pass recently. Should we call him accurate as well?

CONSISTENT accuracy is what separates the have's from the have nots. And it will take at least a few months before we see if Tyrod is CONSISTENTLY accurate or not.

We don't even see consistent play from our own qb...

How successful were we passing against the Colts last year?

Not very successful but I know a certain QB threw 6 TDs on that defense last year

All I can say is we'll see.

Yeah it is still very early in the season. This time last year, San Francisco had absolutely crushed Dallas in week 1. Things went different the rest of the way

Awww, there you go!  Been wondering when you and the hate for Tyrod would show up!  First, aren't you the same cat that said that Tyrod would NEVER be a starting QB in this league?  Yeah!  That was you!  And, weren't you the same cat that said that Tyrod wouldn't even be in the league after a year?  Yeah!  That was you too!  Wrong on both accounts!  Even now you're so prideful that you can't even give him props on a good game that he had against the Colts.

And then you pull Manziel out of a hat!  Lol!  No comparison cause Manziel only came in the game because the starter went down!  C'mon man!  Smh!  We're talking Tyrod Taylor who threw a very accurate pass from the pocket that many here said he was unable to do.  Now, he is shining (sure, it's only been one game) in Buffalo.  Stop the hate!  Congratulate!  I'm sure that he will have his growing pains as a starter....that's to be expected.  Every game he has won't be like that one against the Colts but now that he is "the man" receiving all of the reps with the 1's, it is possible that he'll improve.  Don't you agree?

1. Yes, he beat out Matt Cassell and EJ Manuel for the job. I'll admit I was surprised by this, though I'm not sure if I should have been.

2. I said he'd be out of the league after 2015. This year ain't over yet. Keep in mind Tim Tebow was doing things a lot more impressive than Tyrod did in the ONE game we've seen from him, and he wasn't in the league for too much longer after that ended.

3. I'll never say somebody "shines" after a one game sample size. Just not my style to overreact like that.

4. Yup, I do agree he can play better. Don't you agree that he could play worse? Surely you can see plenty of scenarios where thinks start going poorly for him don't you, or have you already made up your mind that he's a star who can't possibly come back down to Earth?

To put it simply... November is probably the very earliest we should be having any congratulatory Tyrod Taylor discussions. Perhaps they'll be valid then, or perhaps, like we've seen many, many, many times, they'll be premature.

Manziel was only in the game cause the starter went down.  C'mon Jacket!  Smh!  Tyrod, who many here said was just a "running" QB and that he wasn't "accurate," was on point that game against the Colts.  Like Joe here with the Ravens, he did everything the Bills asked him to do and he looked gooooood doing it like I knew he could and would.  Sure, it is only one game and he will definitely have horrible moments as a part of his growing pains as a starter but that accurate 51 yard strike from the pocket to Harvin for a TD is shades of what he has always done at VT but never was able to showcase it in Baltimore.  Now, the NFL world is talking about Tyrod Taylor and I am glad that he is finally able to live out his dream of being a starting QB in the NFL.

Go Tyrod "T-Mobile" Taylor

Gotta try harder to spin it to a Flacco thread

I'm not.  Am I wrong though?  For the season, I guess you know what to expect.  On a game to game basis, can you say you know how he'll perform?

Anyway, I hope to see Tyrods success continue.

Their d is awful, which is why it was so dissappointing we struggled.  Couldn't run or throw for whatever reason.

Yeah that was a tough game, what is crazy was how the Pats ran all over them but had to completely abandon the run against the Ravens and Seahawks

Good to see Tyrod play well. The jury is still out, but hopefully he can do enough to win them some games and make the race a little tighter for New England.

That's the only team the Pats could run on. It still boggles my mind why the Ravens coukdnt. Except the style of running game.

Yeah no.. I highly doubt he'll be succesful for the long term. Hell, TROY SMITH had a small run with the niners that was sucessful.

I wish him well don't get me wrong. But there's a lot going against him.

1. His oline sucks

2. If his oline sucks already it'll be harder to get the running game going.

3. There's legit tape on him now. How will he adjust vs a GOOD defense(the colts are godawful)

I'd love to see him do well, but I'm with you on being a bit dubious about how he'll cope long-term. I'm also thinking about how the Bengals adjusted after his first drive or two back in like 2012 and just started stacking the box when they realised how much he ran the ball.

Any QB can look good for a while (except for Manziel at this rate), but the QBs who keep their starting jobs are the ones who can keep looking good once everyone knows what they do.

Don't think we have to wait til November.  Best guess is this Sunday will write the story, but as of now Tyrod is an NFL starting QB and has a better record than we do.

I give the Bills a big chance to bounce the Deflators.  We'll see.

My response to:

2. Tebow couldn't and still can't throw....period!  No comparison!

3. To say that someone "shined" is hardly an overreaction when it was proven that that is what was done such as in Tyrod's (a former "backup" QB for 4 years who finally starts against the NFL's newest golden boy...Andrew Luck and the Colts) case in his first start as a QB in the NFL.

4. Of course I agree that he "could" play worse but your estimation comes across as though he "will" play worse.  So, it is not that I have already made him a star in my mind but that you have already made him a failure in yours.

I already said that Tyrod won't play every game like he did against the Colts.  That's not realistic!  But what else isn't realistic to me is to count a man out before he even gets started.  That is overreacting at its best and that is not my style!  Bottomline, Tyrod has "won" the starting job in Buffalo and now....after sitting on the pine behind Flacco for 4 years....he finally has his time to "shine" and show the league what he can do.  I hope he continues to be successful in his caampaign.  Anything came happen between this Sunday and November but I'm in this young man's corner!  But as a Virginia Tech and Tyrod Taylor fan...you knew that I would be!

Go Tyrod!

My family back home are big Bills fans and they are all for Tyrod right now. The upcoming NE game will be a huge test. I'm really happy for Tyrod and the Bills.

It definitely will be a huge test for Tyrod and crew.  I hope he does well!  I am pretty sure that he will hit some bumps along the way in his first year as a starting QB in the NFL.  They all do!  All QB's had to go through their growing pains and constantly prove themselves and Tyrod Taylor is no different!  I'm cheering him on!

Tough onr for Tyrod today.  He was sacked 8xs and threw for 3 TD but also had 3 INT's.  Ouch!  But, that is apart of being a staring QB in the NFL young buck!  Dust yourself off and get back in there and lead your team!

Good luck Tyrod!

I'm a Bills fan, and I just want to say thank you.

Thank You.

Tyrod T-Mobile Taylor truly is a Human Hilight Reel, as Ray Lewis put it.  I knew he'd outplay EJ Manuel and Matt Cassel, but WOW.  I don't know if anyone saw this coming.  Eight touchdowns in three games, and he's spanked everyone except a team who's been to 6/14 superbowls.  That's pretty darn good for a guy who's essentially a rookie with four seasons of clipboard experience.  I understand that this is Flacco's team, but this guy is the best free agent QB since Peyton Manning.  The kid turned down more money from the Broncos because he knew he'd start with us.  Turns out he was completely right.

So yeah, thanks again.

Your welcome. Outside of last game against the Pats, your defense is pretty nasty. I can speak for the majority of us Ravens fans here when I say that we are envious of your nasty defense. Sheesh............

Was good to see him bounce back this week. You could tell he was pissed with how things ended against the Pats, then came out and BALLED. I knew I was going to have a fun time watching this Bills team with him there.

Same here!

Again, being from his area here in VA and a huge Virginia Tech fan; I already knew the talent that Tyrod possessed that was being wasted on the pine behind Joe Flacco and in this particular offense.  I had a feeling that once he got to the Bills, won the starting job and had an offense that was "tailor-made" (see what I did there..lol) to fit his strengths....that he'd show the entire NFL world and some of his haters here what he was truly about!

Tyrod is "T-Mobile" and throwing that pill with strength and accuracy...from the pocket!

Tyrod Taylor finished with a 136.7 passer rating. Through three games, the Bills have the look of a team that will be tough to beat unless Taylor is forced into a shootout with the opposing quarterback. Taylor became the first Bills quarterback since Hall of Famer Jim Kelly (1991) with at least seven touchdown passes and a 70-percent completion rate through Week 3.

He's balling. Since it's clear the Ravens aren't going anywhere this year I hope the Bills make the playoffs and take down the Cheaters.

Loving what Tyrod is doing up there. He may not be seasoned completely, but he's gaining confidence in himself. I hope he has a superb season on top of what he's doing and locks down the starting QB spot in BUF for years to come
