[News] Late For Work 8/13: Ravens' Full Madden Ratings Revealed, Breshad Perriman Fastest In NFL

43 posts in this topic

I wish they found a trade partner for Brown. It is unfortunate. I know Smith isn't going to be there that much longer just because of age and Brown was drafted to take one of those two positions but he just hasn't shown it. That is the risk of the draft. They all look good on paper.

Really looking forward to seeing these new and old players gel in a game situation. Stay healthy tonight. Something special is brewing in Baltimore this year. Ravens are going to be dominant and balanced enough to go all the way.

I would love to see some of that top end speed from Perriman on the field! What is his deal?? its gone from day to day to weeks. Concerning to say the least.

Canty probably will retire after this year. He stated after last season that the wear and tear are taking a toll and he is slated for a career around football already as he is good with the media and his insights are worth hearing. I do hope that Daryl Smith sticks with us for another season at least! He's not that old and he's been doing a really good job. Only thing is, he gets beat in zone in passes, because he isn't very speedy, whether by age or nature. Sizzle scared me bigtime at the OTAs with his non-committal statements and if we do win Superbowl, I can see him retiring, but I'd rather not. Soon though.. I don't like it!

He apparently looked good on game film too - just hasn't made the transition to the pro game. Would be nice if we could get something for him, but who will bite, given what we've seen out of him?

Steve Smith grabbing that Bengal-baby and throwing him to the ground...I still can't believe that didn't draw a flag...smn...but it sure makes for an entertaining highlight.

If Canty, Suggs, and Smith all retire next season, it would suck but at the same time, the strong point of the ravens drafting is being able to pick strong quality players in the front 7. I have no doubt we will find big guys up front to provide depth and potentially our new guy Zadarius may be able to just step in and take over by then as well..

Can someone please explain what the toughness score specifically does for your player in Madden? There is a separate "Injury" category so I can't tell what a high toughness score actually does... I've pondered this for years.

wow thats a scary thought to think that SSS, suggs, D smith, and Canty could all retire, and Tucker, Upshaw, Yanda, KO all entering free agency, Webb, Zuttah, Monroe could all be cut!! Sounds like 2012 all over again...I was really optimistic for the next 3-4 years but now i am a little worried.

OAN: they totally screwed Torrey Smith big time, everyone knows that speed is his #1 attribute how the heck did it go from like 94 to 89? when the updated rosters are downloaded im sure they'll change that. But Perriman fastest man in the league? WOW...

Until we find a legit ILBer to step in for Daryl Smith, we will encourage him to keep playing.....

I have an observation on Joe Flacco. We seem to be focused mostly on his great QB play and great arm but the one thing that is remarkable about Flacco is his 'authenticity'! He is in my honest opinion the most authentic person in all of football. He has no airs about him, he is totally "WYSIWYG"!

BTW there is a degree of paranoia and concern regarding Perriman missing TC time. But, believe me, it won't matter once regular season starts! He will be a force to reckon with and be the best #2 receiver we've had in a long long time!

Glad to see Joe is at least mentioned in the MVP discussion, rather than totally ignored, as usual. If our young WR's and TE's can get up to NFL level fairly quickly, Joe is going to have a stellar year. From what I've read and seen, Joe is looking terrific so hoping some of these young receivers will soon become stand out, sure handed receivers to help achieve the great offensive year we have the potential for.

Perriman may play tonight? I wouldn't force it. He hasn't practiced for two weeks and now he's going into a game. He'll get hit hard. It's an exhibition game. I don't care if he's the fastest or not. I don't want to see him get hurt and miss the games when they count. I know we all want to see him put on a show but keep him out of this one.

So uhh... the game will be on NFL network tonight right? Right!? please... During the regular season I gotta watch the freaking Jags here in Orlando. Kind of funny though, when I am watching the Ravens nowadays there's a good chance an Orlando boy will be bringing in the TD pass, go Knights!

No the game on 8/22 vs Eagles will be on NFLN but not tonight. Sign up for NFL Gamepass to watch it online tonight and cancel it after the game so you don't get charged, there's a free 7 day trial available.

What kind of cheap "journalistic" move is that from Mr. Zrebiec - to take out the oldest members of the squad and say they might also be retiring? Oh really?

Art Brown. Please do something! Anything bro just do it for gods sake! What is wrong with this guy? His college film is insane but he can't even beat out undrafted guys. I'm not saying pull a Mosley on us but help this team in any way bro!

Please make us all look like fools and prove your worth tonight!

WYSIWYG? I must be losing brain cells quicker than I thought. Or maybe I am just not hip enough. Took me a while. What You See Is What You Get. Sheesh. Am I the only person who has never seen that before or am I senile enough that I can't remember that I did?

Perriman is 6"2 and the fastest player in the NFL according to madden.....

You can teach a young stud a lot of things, but no matter how hard you try you can't teach size and speed. Tickle me to death someone. I already love that pick. (Knocking on wood) stay healthy bro.
