So I guess it would be an overreaction to state that Renner may just end giving Schaub a little competition for the backup job?

not at all. Especially since some team might pull a panic move and snag Schuab for a pick

Liked what I saw of Nelson, very sharp and crisp routes.

Right now, leaning towards cuts of Robinson, Butler and Aiken.

Let's not overreact here...

They just gave us the game with that penalty.

I think he would of had the completion, the db was out of position.

My plays of the game for us have to be the Campanaro TD and the Maxx Williams 4th and 20. That kid is going to be a stud, he has so much to learn still but you can see what kind of potential he has.

I'm sure glad you're not the one making roster decisions in Baltimore.

First team looked good and the big thing is NO MAJOR INJURIES - Thank God!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Seriously, the real victory in a preseason game is a major injury free game, not the scoreboard. I'm happy we won but way more happy we didn't have any major injuries, the Saints got banged up pretty bad. The Browner helmet to the knee did not look good.

All 3 TEs did well. The 4th and 20 play by Maxx gave him a plus game performance. The WR battle - Campanaro stock up. Waller stock up. Butler stock down. Aiken have to say stock down, played very little, but never had separation.

Why would we cut Aiken?!

or Butler, even though he had that one bad play he gave up on that cost us an INT

Aiken basically has the #2 WR position locked at this point and you say he should be cut?  #Brilliant

I am going to have to second that one.

I think Crockett, Lorenzo and Juice had pretty good outings. Not much to speak of on the WR front, except maybe Camp's TD. But the Saints secondary might not be the best bench test.

I think Waller could have been more assertive, didn't really use his enormous physique which he's been touted for so far.
Hopefully they can stash Renner and Nelson on the PS, wouldn't mind them sticking around.

Anyways, 1st pre season game - lots more football to come. Go Ravens!

PS. Has anyone heard anything on Davis' injury? Looked like it was his knee.

I think a TE having to go right to surgery is pretty major.

Really?  Man I don't see it.

There's a big difference between Training Camp play and Game Play, but it was only one game.

Campanero was the winner, but I did see Waller running free multiple times but missed by the QB.  However, they did jam Waller on the line effectively a few times too.  Same was true of Aiken who really labors when jammed.

However, jam Waller and you take a huge chance of him separating deep post jam.  QB's are gonna have to be in tune for that.

Just not a fan of Aiken at all and view him as expendable.  If he is currently slated for #2, separation will occur.

I'm not basing that off of just one preseason game.  I'm going by his play from last season (he produced) and his continuous play during training camp.

Camp had a great game, but I don't see how you can really say he was the winner when he was running with the 2s.

On a personal level I sincerely feel really bad for Reisner but he was never going to make our roster either way. It's just a shame because now he loses an opportunity to get on someone's practice squad after cuts.

I'd honestly prefer the WR that dominates the 2s vs the one that is a no show against the 1s.  Especially against the Saints secondary.  Aiken may be the only WR all night to get 0 separation from everything I've seen, heard, and read
