Steve Smith Sr. is my favorite Raven and the thought of a last ride for him, just like Ray Lewis would be no better way to help Steve finish the NFL in the best way. Steve is a Raven (wish for longer) and plays like one. He defines the saying, "Play Like A Raven" with his toughness and he deserves a ring. I believe that we can do it for him and also for the City of Baltimore. Go Ravens!

 If there's any player that can rally the Ravens for a Super Bowl run, it's SSS. This retirement announcement just added fuel to the motivational fire. Let's get that ring. Damn, I am going to miss SSS big time. Hoping SSS leaves his tough, passionate imprint permanently on every player on this team. SSS is the epitome of what it means to "Play like a Raven".

For years I wished Steve Smith Sr. was on our team because his approach to the game and attitude meshed perfectly with the Ravens. I always felt that he was a Raven. I was pleasantly shocked and overjoyed when he signed with us last year, it was like a dream come true. I am very grateful that Ravens fans have had a chance to appreciate his greatness for this period of time, regardless of how short it is. Thank you Ravens Organization for bringing Steve here and a big, big thanks to Steve Smith Sr. for being a Raven!!

Well...he did spend 13 seasons in Carolina. It would be great if he retired a Raven, but I wouldn't think any less of him if he decided to retire a Panther. To help put it in perspective- Todd Heap spent the last 2 years of his 12 year career with the Cardinals, but I certainly consider him a Raven. So does Baltimore, which is why he's in the Ravens' Ring of Honor. Just because Smith & the Panthers departed on less than amicable terms doesn't mean Carolina & its fans "do not deserve him."

And by "even better" you mean NOT leading the league in drops this year? I like his attitude, too. But people around here act as if were the second coming for this football team. He's had a great career, but far too many years were spent playing for another team. I wish him luck.

Now there is electricity in the air, you can feel it. What a good time to announce, because this season is going to be something special. Getting a ring for SSS is "a cause" all Ravens Nation can dive headfirst into. They just have to play the training music from the Rocky movie tomorrow in camp, because it is time for SSS to become the Heavyweight Champion of the World!
