Can Perriman be our first 1000 yard rookie receiver?

How do you know when it should have been healed? What is his exact injury? A sprained PCL? What grade? What is the injury recovery timeline for the specific grade of injury that he has? From what I've been reading all these months, we as fans are just simply in the dark. COACHES (and no-one else) indicates that he didn't have a severe injury. The truth is obvious: They were wrong (or lying). But they never told us what the exact injury is, or the severity. I highly doubt we're dealing with a grade 1 PCL sprain here, or yes he would have been back on the field weeks (or months) ago. If it's as bad as, say, a grade 3 sprain, a full year recovery is not out of the ordinary. Even a grade 2 can take months.

You're absolutely right on all counts, I was basing what I was saying off of what we are being told from the coaches. The point I was trying to make is how ludicrous that his injury went from "day to day" to "well I guess we can just expect him to not be playing" after 9 weeks into the season. Its a pretty funny progression if what the coaches are telling us is the truth

Just a thought...

There could be privacy laws and Dr./ Patient confidentiality laws at play here.

Furthermore we still don't know if the doctors are not clearing him to play or its all his own decision.

i agree, HIPPA laws.

He's a Raven, and will be most likely for the next 4-5 years. That's why.

Being loyal to Perriman is like being loyal to a girl who stood you up on your first date and hasn't answered any of your calls or replied to any of your texts in the six months since.  Perhaps you guys don't know the meaning of loyalty.

HIPAA laws don't apply to Perriman talking about his injury.   I haven't read about him doing any interviews about it.

The coaches will likely advise him not to

This is what's frustrating, fans are getting mad at him and not realizing he is just abiding by the coaches rules. If anyone thinks he doesn't want to be playing they are delusional

I just want to see Perriman on the field. I think and hope everyone frustrated with his injury truly hope he pans out, although comments here make me question that.

I'm not saying he doesn't want to play nor am I saying I hate this guy or think he's soft. I do think there's a solid argument to be made of these points, but I think it's fairly inconclusive at this point to say either way.

If the Ravens lied about his injury, I'll definitely lose much respect for them. There's no competitive reason to deceive people about the nature of his injury. I guarantee you no DC cares about Perriman beating them deep until he actually does it.

I think the whole thing is suspicious.

You have no clue whether he wants to play or not.  You know absolutely nothing about him.  All of this conjecture because we have received zero information from the source.  And who knows if Perriman got his big payday and feels like spending his time partying or is actually working hard to return.  WE ACTUALLY KNOW NOTHING!!

I am not mad at him at all.  I am mad at Ozzie for letting Torrey Smith go and depending on a rookie.  I don't expect much out of rookies in the NFL.

At this point you might as well IR this guy. He's not offering anything this season. Give his roster spot to someone that might actually contribute in the last few games.

I don't think it matters anymore. If Perriman can play we may as well get him real game experience.

We should've IR'ed this bust. Camp did not have a season ending injury but was IR'ed because we've been holding out for this guy.

I'd happily give him time but I REALLY doubt he gets healthy this year.

that's what annoys me the most. We could sure use camp now.

Awful mismanagement here with him. What the hell are we paying doctors for if hey can't give coach a realistic time frame.

To whom do we give his roster spot?

Camp, oh yeah.. We IRd him earlier for an injury that would have kept him out a couple weeks.

Big Ben played today with God knows how many injuries.

Either this guy is soft, or we need to look at the medical staff that have got his time line wrong. You broke on perriman after the last game, I've broke today.

I definitely agree. I'm tired of this bit. The guy needs to see the field after we're halfway through the season. It's absurd.
