Can Perriman be our first 1000 yard rookie receiver?

I'd like to think of myself as reasonable and I'm not saying I'll think this but there's going to be undeniable concerns surrounding Perriman if he doesn't play this year.

Too late. It already exists.

The only way I see Perriman playing is if by miracle we make the playoffs and he is fully healthy by the Wild Card Round.

I think there are some concerns about him already - whether or not they amount to anything is another story (and the people calling him busts already are just silly). It's been a frustrating wait and won't get any better, and even if he plays lights-out in the last four weeks of the season (four AJ Green-like performances from when he took us on would get him to 1000 yards!) he'd still have a fair bit to prove next year imo.

To those of you ago replied to me, I'm saying right now these concerns are very debatable but I don't think they'll be so debatable if he doesn't play. It'll be hard to argue that he's NOT soft or whatever if he doesn't play.

I stand by my statement that he should never draft a WR early again, I like Breshad as a prospect. But I'm not sure I'll be abe to trust him to become healthy, just do your FA trade thing Ozzie, you got Boldin, Mason, and SSR out of it.

I don't like the idea at this point of going in with Perriman/Givens(maybe)/Aiken as the top 3

"Clock is ticking"? What's that supposed to mean?

I think harbs is implying that if he's not gonna be healthy, he'd rather give his spot to urban or pitta. Two players who actually want to fight through injury and play.

I agree with you 100% and then some. Big fan of BP but it's getting ridiculous now. What if he gets the common cold? He'll be out for a season at this rate. The lack of communication between Harbs and the medical staff is maddening as well. Time for Ozzie to work his magic in the trade/free agency pool this offseason when it comes to WR's. Hello Pierre Garçon, Vincent Jackson and Roddy White.

If he is hurt this bad without an nfl snap, van you imagine if he ever takes a hit over the middle? He will be out for three seasons. He will make wes welker look like the iron man

"Day to day injury" he said...

Hope this doesn't happen every time he hurts his knee.

I've pretty much given up all hope he'll play this season. I think its a good indication right now that you got to stop thinking about this and move on at some point. I think theres going to be a lot of questions about him this offseason.

TURRON DAVENPORT ‏@TDavenport_NFL 10m10 minutes ago

Harbaugh said that the clock is ticking on Breshad Perriman. Said he hasn't heard any updates on the injured rookie WR.

I can completely understand Harbaugh's settlements. This is a team with playoff aspirations still. At first I was against this but given how the team still believes they can make the post season having this cloud around them will only hold them back.

Newsflash, Perriman had enough time to re-heal three times over from the same injury he suffered since July 30th. I'm certain the team has had it by now, especially considering that its taking away a roster spot. I even think IR-ing Camp. had a bit to do with anticipation that Perriman will be back. I think they have a little big of regret over that move now. We surely could use him if he were to return.

I have a feeling Perriman hasn't done his due diligence to get back to being healthy to the best of his ability.

Something is really off.   Perriman should not have much excuse to not be back by end of bye week.

Either he took the kind gesture of care from Ravens staff to lax and do not realize how urgent he is needed to fully heal himself or he is just really stupid and not understanding to whole aspect that this is a serious business with dire consequences.

It's almost December soon.  His injury absolutely should not be taking THIS LONG to take.

Man those little red and green numbers have no worth or value whatsoever.

Don't let it bug you.

I don't remember any major injuries from him in college. This is just really weird and truly the Ravens luck that something like this would happen in the NFL.

Had to bug you to some degree to even mention it, but that's a different conversation for a different thread.

Since we're short on receivers, can someone explain why we had no interest in Wes Welker who just signed with the Rams ?

Just cause something is mentioned doesn't mean that it bugs or bugged you.  I mean, It's pouring rain outside right now.  I just mentioned that......but it doesn't bug me cause I did so.  C'mon man!  Lol!

I honestly feel bad for Perriman. He's going to get heat and I know he may want to be out there. At the same time, I don't know what is up with him and I cannot blame you for venting your frustrations. I honestly have to question Perriman's conditioning, rehabbing and determination to get back to the field at this point. He's been given too many opportunities and chances not a lot of guys would get, and this is largely due to his first round status.

Same here.  Just been wondering why it is taking him so long to get back out there?

Lol no one knows, that's the craziest part. I can't tell you what's taking him so long, no one can. Like I said before, if he doesn't play at all there will be questions next season and if he doesn't take an NFL snap than it would be foolish to rely on him to be our starter.

Umm, we literally JUST had a thread answering this.

Yes! I really want BP to pan out and then we can sign all the vets we want lol

In my mind he'll turn into a Julio Jones and it'll be magical. I wish..

Soft is one of the words I'd use to describe him. In my years of watching sports I can't say I remember a sprain lasting this long. Even the scope indicated no new damage.

Look at SSS who plays with broken ribs.  Man, if Perriman had 4 broken ribs he'd probably be on life support.

I'm going forward that this pick was a complete waste and will be pleasantly surprised if it turns out otherwise.

Its a very crappy situation?  At least Kevin White's injury is disclosed and known, the tough part about BP is it doesnt make sense for it to just be a sprain and of course, its the strangest injury of the year.  But its such a catch 22 with Ravens fans when it comes to WRs, we sit here and ask for us to finally go out and draft a WR...then we do.  Some may have not wanted BP but at least it was a WR, but since he hasnt seen the field its easy to hate the pick.  Im still going to wait for him to play for a couple games before i make any judgements, i think its clear we have the worst luck when it comes to draft WRs

You know what, if Perriman doesn't even play a snap and we don't sign a Vet WR, then you can honestly justify picking Treadwell over Ramsey or Hargreaves. Not saying I would do it, but I wouldn't even be upset.

if he doesnt take a snap and we dont sign another WR, that will be a huge fail on the FO and i would be upset.
