Ray Rice Comeback

What do you guys think about Ray Rice getting a second Chance. Would you cheer for him? What about be in the Ravens Office as A Domestic Violence Rep.?

No and no.

The Ravens don't need to make up jobs for millionaires who embarrassed the organization. If they want to make up a job make up one for a struggling ex-Raven who might need support and money. No more RR interviews. No more begging.

Good luck to him but lets turn the page.

Yeah, Ray Rice only needs to be in the history books for the Ravens at this point.  Let another team get the media circus that will come with signing Rice for any reason.  There already was a backlash for Baltimore not cutting him when he was arrested, they don't need more from adding him back to the staff/roster

His crusade against the team in the Sun, along with the 'inside source' aka his trainer, was obnoxious. Just like the most recent round of pandering. Bisciotti already said he will not be back as a player.

If he's on another team, good for him and his family. I don't wish them any ill. The video still looms and that's what makes him hard to sign.

I WILL chear for Ray Rice.  He performed a horrible unexcusable act against his wife and the ONLY reason he's not playing right now is because of the video INSIDE of the elevator was seen by the world.  Everyone deserves a 2nd chance to prove that they can overcome a bad decision/mistake.  Ironically, what team gave Donte Stallworth a 2nd chance when he got out of jail for vehicular manslaughter?  Not saying his 2nd chance should be with the Ravens (Bisciotti said that would never happen), but I do believe he deserves one.  I wish him the best regardless of the fact if he plays again.

BTW, this will probably be moved.

Like many others here, I think Ray Rice deserves another shot in the NFL, but not on the Ravens.  There is nothing that will ever make up for the actions that he committed last year, but I do not think that that one moment exemplifies who he is as a person.

Also might have a TON to do with how poorly his game film was the last time we saw him.

If he had a 1,200 yard season in 2013, he'd be on a roster already in my opinion.

Stallworth was not a Raven when he committed that act so the Ravens were effectively the "other team" that gave him a 2nd chance. Rice should get a second chance but with another team.

I'd be surprised if any team brings him in. The chances get smaller as the days go by, teams won't want the media attention getting this close to the start of the season.

Nows the perfect time with the Brady stuff going on.

Considering some of the players currently in the league, I would be fine if another team decided to go for him but he won't be a Raven again.

If players like Greg hardy can get another chance then yeah. Yes he deserves a second chance and I will be pulling for him. If he didn't throw biscotti under the bus he may have had a future somewhere within the organization- just not as a player.

No matter what is going on, any team that brings him in will have the nations media booking flights into town. I just think that alone will prevent anyone from even bringing him in for a workout.

I hope he can finsih his carreer the right way, but rejoining the Ravens would be bad for him and the team. No thanks, but good luck.

this is true- but I still find it hard to believe that there are 32 running backs in the league that are better than him. Much less 64. But yeah I guess it's a combination of both. I still think that the cowboys may bring him in.

32? Easily I think there's 32. I don't think Rice could win an open competition with any #1 RB on any team in the league right now, Cowboys included.

As a #2, possibly, but then we just circle back to the risk/reward side of that.

Pretty much this. It would not only make our franchise look bad. But part of me thinks that he's done as a feature back. Why would we need him when we already have a good stable of RB's. He made a really bad mistake. Him and his wife are still together. Ray doesn't seem like the one who consistently beats on his wife.

Just not with us. Good luck Ray

Yes, I would root for Ray on another  team. Not only that, I hope he has a rather successful comeback if some team takes a chance on him. I know age is becoming an issue, along with the comparative dip in production. However, Ray is possibly in great physical shape and maybe his body has recovered well from past injuries and wear and tear? Looks like the video was the "Kiss of Death"  career-wise but I think Ray deserves a chance. Question is, is there a team out there who won't shy away from the backlash sure to follow. Good luck to Ray. I'm rooting for him.

I wish Ray and his family have a healthy lives and he get another shot at playing in NFL.  He won't be allowed to play for the Ravens anymore cuz it causes too much controversy and backflash to the organization.

We are moving on from Rice's era and Rice as well....

PS: I still have Rice Jersey in my closet.....it's a closing chapter.  I also have Boldin Jersey in there with him too.....

You honestly think every starting RB in the league right now is better/offers more than RR?

I really hope he gets a 2nd chance and I would root for him hard... Obviously no chance coming back here.

Cowboys/Texans would make the most sense. Maybe the Bills if Fred Jackson ever goes down during the season.

Without question. Basically every team in the league has a younger, fresher RB than him, and given what we last saw of him, its not hard to understand why.

I hope he gets a second chance, he did what was asked of him as punishment. I honestly think he can still be a very good rb and woulsnt be shocked if he got another shot and out up good numbers. The last year he played we had a bad oline and he was injured, we all know he's a workout warrior and I bet he's in fantastic shape. Sadly I don't think it has anything to do with football. If hardy can get a second chance rice should.

NNot with us tho.

I love your little condescending jabs in most of your posts. Without looking into and getting into a pissing match with you, I'll have to respectfully disagree.

Edit - Just took a look at the projected starting RB's on all 32 teams and hahahahahahaha!!! Okay dude.

Well, I mostly base it off the fact that he was 30th in yards two years ago prior to slugging his wife on camera. So, two years older, already a gigantic amount of wear and tear on the tires, and a horrific showing the last time he was on the field. Needless to say, I think I stand behind my assessment.

The only real on-field argument for him is that 2013 was essentially a "fluke" and a product of a horrible offensive line. If other teams actually bought that, I think he'd be employed by now. I have no doubt the O-line factored into that, but the timing just really couldn't be worse for him.

I'd cheer for him and I hope he gets another shot.  I think the man (and his wife) have suffered enough.

He looked slim and sharp last season (before the fiasco).  I thought it was possible for him to bounce back a bit from his abysmal 2013 numbers.

His chance with the Ravens is gone though (never say never, right?).  Some other team needs to give him his next shot.  But sadly, other teams see the 2013 numbers and the PR issue and will probably pass as well.

I'm thinking off the top of my head

Arizona

Texans

Titans

Cowboys

Raiders

Could all use him
