[News] Kelechi Osemele Thinks About Pro Bowl Every Day

13 posts in this topic

Why doesn't K.O. thinks about the Super Bowl instead? If you're in the Super Bowl you don't have to go to Pro Bowl. Championships matter then get invited to Pro Bowls but I understand that he wanted the NFL fans to notice him.

hen, maybe this is a personal goal of his. I am sure he has the goal of winning a super bowl as well. What player doesn't want to get a ring? I really hope he does keep himself hungry and shooting to improve. Then I hope that the Ravens can work some cap magic and get this guy along with Yanda under contract. I think Joe Flacco is smart enough to realize that his bread is buttered by having a great offensive line in front of him and will be willing to make a team-friendly concession on his contract as long as he knows where that money is going. Suggs has already re-worked his contract numerous times for this goal and others have in the past. Part of why Ngata is gone is because he wasn't willing to do that at all..or at least not as much as the Ravens had wanted. I understand an NFL player getting whatever they can when they can. They are never really guaranteed tomorrow.

In his presser he made it very clear the SB is the priority, but for his personal goals the Pro Bowl is a major goal for him.....He also stated that every guy on the O-Line was that guy in college, and they all want to live up to being that guy in the Pros...I actually love his honesty, and his play...and i hope we find a way to keep both Yanda and K.O....

@stixfix69 @EdTheMythicalOne I hope Ozzie somehow keep K.O. and Yanda as well. Those two always make our offensive line physical and with them gone will make us one dimensional no physicality. I hope K.O. makes many

Pro Bowls but not in it you know what I mean LOL :-) The Ravens will have a great year the team is looking sharp. Thanks for your replies.

I originally thought we should only keep one of Yanda or KO, but I'm starting to think maybe we should pony up the cash and keep both. KO is only gonna improve. Urschel can take over for Zuttah eventually. The great line we had last year started with the best guard tandem in the league.

If I were a player, I'd be shooting for an All-Pro nod, not Pro Bowl. Any player can make the Pro Bowl, just ask Derek Anderson. Being voted All-Pro is really the special recognition and one that other suitors will likely take more seriously if you hit the open market. Aim a little higher Kelechi!

I hope K.O. gets voted as a Pro Bowl guard, he is deserving of it based on his skill level and how good he is. He will only get better. For some who thinks he should aim higher (All Pro, Super Bowl etc), it starts with having Pro Bowl type of years which helps better the chances of Ravens making the Super Bowl and earning Pro Bowl years before graduating to All Pro. I am sure he rather be playing in the Super Bowl, even after being voted a Pro Bowl guard. Nothing wrong with aiming for a Pro Bowl type of year, it's a stepping stone to help meet his goals as well as make the team better. I love watching K.O. play, best of luck on K.O. making the Pro Bowl list. I hope we are able to keep him for years to come.

The Ravens have the best guard tandem in the NFL. I can see them both making the Pro-Bowl this season.

Would a Flacco restructure help keep some extra $$$ for the offensive line. This also keeps Flacco upright and able to play up to his abilities, not be running for his life!

I love K.O. I love Yanda more. I don't think we can keep both. Could we, yes. But in would hurt us in the long run. It's gonna cost some money to resign Yanda, best OL in the league. And Tucker, best Kicker in the league. But don't forget, the following year you have Wagner, a top RT, Williams, a top DL, and Juszczyk all becoming FA. We need money for them too. I think if Urschel can step up and play guard, as he did last year, we can let K.O walk. Especially if it lets us keep Wagner and Williams. Well see what happens. We can't sign everybody. Remember, we let Grubbs walk and drafted K.O.

Most humans can think of more than one thing and have more than one goal...

It seems almost a given that Joe Flacco is going to have to renegotiate his deal. Most Qb's do this because they know their big contract eats up way too much cap space. It is so much of a given that this will happen that the players want their signing bonuses to be nice. They get a bit up front because they know they will have to shave off a bit at the back end. If the team shows a lot of promise and is pretty much a lock to be a contender in the next few years or so, a lot of NFL QB's will redo their numbers in order to keep a core of the team together. This may not be quite the same situation for a perrenial losing team that never shows any signs of life. Another thing going for the team is if Flacco truly wants to be a Raven for life. If that is the case, players know that they will have to redo deals here and there in order to make that happen. Suggs has done it a number of times, other players have as well but I just can't name them right now. I am sure good veteran players like Yanda would be willing to back end some more of his money as well if he is re-signed in a couple of years to help keep a contending team in order.
