[News] Safety Matt Elam Injures Biceps, John Harbaugh Not Optimistic

77 posts in this topic

No need to sign someone new, we've got our starters set in Lewis and Hill. Levine is quality depth at safety with really good cover skills and Brooks will probably be coming back mid season. Trawick now has a spot for ST if a young guy doesn't step up, don't sleep on Nick Perry btw. It's too bad for Elam, looked like he was ready to step up this year, looks like he'll have to wait until next season to prove himself, off to IR he will go for the season.

I never been sold on Elam's performances or abilities but I wouldn't have wished this on him whatsoever. Tragic!

It just depends on how we stack up on safety depth next year. However, I do feel real badly about Elam's injury. He was trying so hard to do well this year per reports, it must really suck for him right now. The human side of this equation is always sad.

So disappointing to see this happen. I was looking forward to seeing Elam play after all the work he put in this offseason.

He was frustrating to see last year, but this is still disappointing. I hoped to see the new and improved.

The kid looked really bad last year. I hoped he would rebound and change my opinion.  However, we have others that can tackle.  Next man up.

definetly not signing anyone new, we have DBs that can take his spot and do well, like pointer.

All the other CB's notched themselves forward.

A terrible way to learn not to arm tackle.
