[News] News And Notes 8/1: Defense Clamps Down When Pads Come On

26 posts in this topic

Sounds like the defense put the pressure on today. Good. Having the offense up against a tough defense is only going to help the offense get that much better, that much faster.

Ravens are big and getting bigger. The "D" will set the pace, the "O" will finish. This will be the year of playing big more than "just when we need it". Ravens' defensive play makers will be hunting the football down,  and the Ravens' offensive play makers will be moving the football forward. Get the football, Keep the football!

Ya man, Tuning up! I love it!

I really have a good feeling about this year. I think Ozzie and company has put together a heck of a team. We're poised to let the vets take us into the first half and have a couple of the young guys stepping up after the break. Can't ask for a better situation than that.

I think our Defense will be truly tested when we practice with philly and get a taste of their fast-paced offense and ability to keep up.

I wonder why Marlon did not practice? Every day he is not out there gives the other WRs an additional chance to stake a claim on a roster spot. We really have an embarrassment of riches at the WR spot so far this year.

Nice to hear that Schaub had a good day.

Sounds like Suggs gave Maxx a nice warm welcome to the nfl.

Jeremy butler still doin his thing too. If he keeps it up they will almost have no choice but to give him a roster spot. Also nice to hear that the defense is looking strong. We have an all around really strong team guys - it's indeniable. Obviously just gotta stay healthy and we got this.

With the living legend Tim Tebow at the quarterbacking helm.

Who remembers that Upshaw hit on Ben last year when he looked like he got shot out of a cannon point blank? Upshaw doesn't mess around lol.

No offense to Steve Smith, but I think Upshaw is the last dude I would wanna fight in a back alley. Guy is a beast and mean as heck!

Jeremy Butler will be Joe favorite target to throw to when they need a completion. The Dude catches everything. He will be a huge part at the slot position to keep the chains going in our offense.

This team is really sharp. Can't wait for the preseason to start to see how this team looks. P.S. I wonder how Seattle pay all their top players like 10 of them under contract? They just sign Bobby Wagner to a 4 year 43M dollar extension. I don't know how Seattle does it. If they somehow fit all of them under the salary cap in the next few years, than they do a better job signing contracts then we do and be better than Ozzie but I doubt it. Nobody's better than the Wizard those big contracts will come back to bite them in the future.

I wish we could keep more players. We have so many good receivers. Maybe some of them can also play on special teams I'm rooting for Butler to make the team. I think he has a lot of potential.

Dont worry. Seattle is going have to let go of alot of players. They had a young team but once they sign all their players, we'll be seeing an overhaul soon.

And if I'm not mistaken, Cam Chancellor hasn't shown up yet.
