Lynch having a terrible day for Memphis. Does not look like a first round QB

Yeah, really bad day for our hopes of him going before our pick.

Very nice choice of words

They're strangling the life out of the game - not that you can blame them for it but it's fair to say that so far the playoffs aren't nearly as exciting as they were last year.

The first half was fun, the battle in the trenches has come around though as Clemson has scored 21 unanswered.

Jonathan Allen is a beast, man. I think that guy could drop some weight and be an OLB. He's just so quick off the ball and uses his hands so well.

Conklin (LT, MSU) has really played well. We talk a lot about the top two LT, but he wouldn't be a bad option in the early second.

Yeah, the entire left side of the MSU OL has impressed me so far tbh. LG Brian Allen will be one I'm watching next year as well.

Man, what happened to the Michigan State No Fly Zone? Both sides looking fairly vulnerable in the secondary.

Yeah. I also like what I've seen from Cam Robinson #74 Alabama. He has really shutdown Calhoun. Even with his technique he can't win the battle. He looks like Upshaw who knows how to use his hands to pass rush. I don't want Calhoun at all anymore, TBH.

Much of what happened to the Seahawks...raided of talent, lol.

Yeah, I'll admit I've cooled a lot on Calhoun this season - especially watching him take on decent LTs this season. He's underwhelmed me this year even with DT Malik McDowell (another sophomore, we've really chosen the wrong year to suck....) taking up double teams and making plays inside. He's this year's Jaelen Strong for me. :P

Just two really good trench battles atm.

McDowell has played great this year. Did you see how Robinson #86 played on the OL in that goal line formation? Lol. He's a beast, man. That guy gets push. I really like him as a DT and I really like his counterpart, Allen. Allen is a real beast as well. His hand use is amazing and he's so fast!

Yeah, I've been watching that battle with A'Shawn against the MSU line. That's why I've been fairly impressed with (MSU's) Allen - he's had some help from inside but overall he's hanging in there. I was expecting a bloodbath after what happened to LSU in particular, but it's mostly on the right side that the Spartans are getting beaten.

Alabama's depth on DL might prove to be the difference today though. You're right that they have playmakers everywhere.

What I noticed is Robinson is getting double and sometimes triple-teamed. He's really being eliminated as a playmaker from this game and it's clear MSU has made an effort to reduce his impact, which has helped other players on the DL get pressure, like Allen.

I'm not sure who it is but #57 has been stuffed all night by Conklin.

Google tells me he's DJ Pettway, a senior with an honestly underwhelming ESPN profile.

I've just seen a few plays where Brian Allen's managed to hold up on his own against A'Shawn and those are usually the plays that work out fairly well for the Spartans - they don't seem confident with him doing it on every snap though. The great thing about Robinson is that even when he gets double-teamed he can hold his spot and not get shoved around. He's the kinda guy who'd make Rex Ryan lose it if he fell that far.

Jonathan Allen had a fantastic sack on that final MSU drive. Amazing handwork.

Coker making plays in the pocket in the face of pressure has been huge for the Alabama offence. Henry doesn't even need to do that much today.

Alabama pulling ahead - this is looking like it'll be another comfortable win. Very underwhelming compared to the playoffs last year.

Yeah so... I think Alabama is going to win tonight.
