So Christian Mcafferry put up 400+ all purpose yards. Ran for one TD, caught a TD, THREW a TD....

And they're still going to give the Heisman to Derek Henry because he goes to Alabama.

Smh

Watson is my heisman

I have not seen a great defensive slugfest like that since Alabama and LSU in 2012 when Yeldon got the game winning score. What a game

For sure. No regrets about ditching the ACC game. Just like how we romanticize the AFCN to be.

Yeah, if Iowa at least had different colours I'd be far more excited for that program. Which is a shame because I love their gritty style of play and it was otherwise cool to see them make it work this year.

Yeah. Nice to see a good ole game of smashmouth football. I didn't get to see every snap of this game, but the Desmond King guy looked pretty good.

I'm Facebook friends with a Sooners fan who's curiously gotten more chirpy of late, so as long as Mayfield doesn't win I'll be content.

Yeah these types of games were so much more common a few years back

Connor Cook copping some heat for his snub of Archie Griffin. If you believe in karma, that's the kind of thing that gets him sent to the Browns.

I know everyone wants to talk about that bogus offsides but let's face it, as is with the NFL. Don't ever put yourself in a position where the officials have a chance to determine the game. That starts with the UNC defense not letting Clemson score 45 points.

UNC had every opportunity to win, but they kept giving the game away. Going for 2 so early, going for it on 4th & 10 when they should have punted. They gave it away.

I believe they threw a redzone interception, as well. So you're right that maybe they can't simply blame the refs for robbing them of a win(they still would have had to score and get the two-point conversion), but I can blame the refs for robbing me of a much more exciting ending. That's what upset me.

Part of me was rooting for Iowa, but then I keep reminding myself that they're the college football version of the Steelers.....literally. I'm glad they lost because of that.

Didn't Yanda go to Iowa?

Well the playoff seeding has been set. Clemson will play Oklahoma in Miami and Alabama will play Michigan State in Dallas. Should be interesting

Ohio St vs Notre Dame should be a great game

Ideally Notre Dame and Ole Miss would have been swapped (so you get Bosa v Tunsil and Ogbah v Stanley) but those are two great-looking games all the same. Iowa v Stanford should be good too.

How did OK St get that bowl ahead of TCU? Just up to the particular bowl's personal selection? I thought the "New Year's Six" was pretty much determined by the final rankings. I'd understand if it was just trying to spread it out amongst the conferences (sorry UNC), but they're both Big 12.

They got the top Big 12 berth. Not sure why they got it over TCU, though fwiw both sides had a 7-2 conference record and 1-2 record against ranked opponents.

Yeah, I knew the conference selections for bowls. I just thought that the tiebreaker went to the final rankings. Guess I was wrong. It clearly states that is not the case. Edited by beanfigger

Yeah not a big fan of Henry winning heisman but no one really sold me on being heisman this year. Maybe if Stanford won more games
