[News] Late For Work 7/30: Doubt All You Want, But Joe Flacco Climbing All-Time Wins List

38 posts in this topic

I and all Raven fans are proud of the 6 of the last 7 talk, but I like to say we stood on top of the football world in 2012 and since then (now) we're building on a 1-season playoff streak. PIT fans love to talk about 6 rings but they live in the past, that's all ancient history and means nothing about today's team.

Regarding your other point, we do seem to be the 5th team mentioned in the AFC and often tied with the bungles. Now that's sad, but equally sad is the fact they have beaten us 3 str8. If our offense produces 30 pts/gm as I hope and gets us a lead early so Sizzle and Doom can hunt, then I agree with Peter King's ranking.

I wouldn't say that talking about championships earned in the 70s is the same as talking about being 6 of the last 7 years in the postseason. Since my message was basically about Flacco and our success since he's joined the team, that is not ancient history or living in the past .. that's the present.

I'd like to know what exercises are included in the conditioning test. I want to put myself to the test!

someone else posted this in another thread: http://blogs.baltimoreravens.com/2012/07/24/the-caw-ravens-conditioning-test-is-a-bear/

basicially run 900 yards in 6 chunks in a certain time set with a certain time to rest between chunks.

time to complete the chunks and rest in between depend on weight if i read it right.

Joe have more players to throw to then any Quarterback in the league this year, He will break his own record this year, he should go to the pro bowl this year. Not thinking about the Cheaters, I hope they make it to the playoffs, at OUR house this time in front or OUR fans in OUR City, I wish for this team is for them to sweep the series within the AFC North win the Superbowl Joe name player of the year MVP at the Superbowl and John named Coach of the year I have three more wishes but I will let you guess what they are. Go Ravens . Love you Baltimore fans.

Joe Flacco is the Only QB I would want for the Ravens. It's not just his obvious high level of talent or the fact that he has the strongest arm in the league. It's, also, his value system and his demeanor. The fact that he doesn't give a hoot about his own individual statistics is absolutely wonderful. All he cares about is winning. He is the Ultimate team player. And his demeanor; he keeps his cool no matter What happens. You will Not see Joe Flacco Ever lose his composure. He keeps his head about him. He Never loses control. I'm So glad he's our QB. And, Justin Forsett, what a down to earth, humble, and wise man. A great family man, he cares a lot about others, is Always a hard worker taking Nothing for granted. And I loved hearing him say that the vast majority of his money is in his Savings account as opposed to his Checking account. A very wise man, indeed. I would be willing to bet, if I was a betting man, which I'm not, that he will Never be one of those former athletes that have money problems or, actually, go broke after leaving the game. Two quality men, Joe Flacco and Justin Forsett. Proud to have them both as Ravens.

same here. And id also be willing to bet both of them have phenomenal seasons. However I'm growing tired of analyzing and gassing these guys up , I'm ready to watch them perform and execute. Less than 2 weeks until we get to see them in action! Edited by January J

Ogden is in the hall and considered one of the greatest. The same with Ray Lewis and Ed Reed who are locks. I said Joe would be another. And to think of the potential for some of these other young players. I already have a feeling CJ Mosely is going to the hall. My prediction-he passes Ray Lewis in career interceptions. Not to mention guys like Timmy Jernigan and Maxx Williams among others. The potential is there. Even a good chance Suggs, Doom, and Ngata make the hall. I'm expecting wonderful things for the next few years.
