We've gotten lucky. Most of the other top rookie receivers have either gotton hurt or aren't playing very well

All these little things that coach Engram is having to correct surprise me b/c Breshad's father, Brett, was a WR in the NFL for 10yrs. Were they estranged?

Ok so this man played at least a couple of years in college and does not know how to get into a proper stance .Is there a different stance in the nfl then college.I'm not getting this .Its like training a carpenter for years and then he does not know how to hold a hammer.Either this is bad reporting or this kid is fast but needs a whole lot of help .I would say if i were Perriman I'm pissed, jeez I can hardly get into the right stance.Any how welcome to Baltimore hope you succeed . I hope someone saying you don't know how to get into a proper stance makes you try really hard .Or you really need some help .I'm beside myself.Way to make the kid feel welcome.ughhhh

One day at a time. Breshad has humbled himself enough to accept the challenge ahead and accept the hard work, bumps in the road and baby steps of progression he probably will take. But, when all is said and done, with his tools and dedication, he could be one heck of a ball player. Can't wait. Go Breshad! Wishing you the best.

Yeah but if his improper form/stance was never corrected in college he's going to continue to do what he was comfortable with doing.

Perriman will be an "up-and-down" PROJECT in the Pre-season so I hope nobody's expecting him to be polished by the start of the league play!

MARLON-N-N-N-!!! :th_towel-1:

Well if he is that fast in a bad stance just think what he will do in a good stance! I'm hoping he lights it up. He made some good plays at UCF. Nobody is disappointed in him so far and I think he found the perfect QB to throw it to him. He's big and strong and will make some highlight film this year. Have faith people. I can't to wait see what he can do.

One or two long ones is kool but with all his speed double moves will throw the safety off and he can rip the lid off any secondary! But I feel Perriman gotta wait his turn Marlon and Kamar are up to bat sorta speak and that's whom I want to see first! No diss I'm jus sayin

On whether he thought lining up in the stance was important before entering the NFL:

“No, I actually didn’t. I feel like my dad usually always harped on it though, so I knew it was somewhat important. But now that I go back and I look at my college film and see that stance, it was pretty bad. (laughter) I guess I didn’t think it was that important until now.”

Guess that answers that.

I like this kid, he has the right attitude (like our rookies consistently do, thanks Oz, Joe and co), the raw talent to be a career no.1 WR if he works hard, and hopefully a Raven-4-Life. Bring it BP.

I don't think the person who asked Perriman about his weight got what Perriman was saying. Perriman was saying he "dropped his weight so he could get in and out of breaks faster" meaning he lowered his center of gravity not that he lost weight. I just thought that was kinda funny.

Yes, thanks. Tells me his dad tried to coach him up but he was a teenager and shrugged it off. lol

Good find.

All that talk about his hands, I just don't want another Lee Evans moment in the playoffs.

My god, the fans would tear him apart.

Offtopic I guess, but I've watched that frame by frame a hundred (ok maybe fifty) times, and am convinced that a faster camera (ie 100 frames per second instead of 24) might have shown this to be a touchdown.  As it stands, in one frame Evans has the ball secured and his second foot is a half-inch off the turf, in the next frame that foot is down but the ball is starting to be dislodged ... a faster camera may have shown a downed foot and a secure ball in the same frame ... But anyway it played out the way it did, Lee didn't secure the ball well enough, he is gone, and the only good thing is that we got to see the Patriots lose to the Giants against the odds ... again .. lol

Seems when we lose to the Pat's in the playoffs it is always by the smallest of margins, a single camera frame, or rule bending play-calls specifically designed to make the officials look like the keystone cops.

"The aspect of Perriman’s game that critics have harped on most is his hands. Perriman showed solid hands throughout most of Organized Team Activities and minicamp, but he did have one practice with about four drops, which has continued the narrative."

Arrrrrgh! I hate hearing about drops. Wide receivers are paid to catch the ball!
