[News] Steve Bisciotti's Statement On Deflategate Reports

152 posts in this topic

Bisccotti's one of the best owners in the NFL !

Let's get to some Football...

Although, if they start regularly checking psi in the Patriot's balls, I would like to see what their turnover/fumble rate goes to in the next few years.

I don't believe 50% lower than league average is coincidental !

its amazing how the media is trying now to defend brady, i mean come on, who else told those equipment guys to deflate those balls, either the coaches or brady. the NFL should go after those equipment guys in court see if they can crack under pressure and spill the beans. u caught cheating again, and then its everybody is fault, give me abreak.

Don't worry, Bisciotti- we know that you feel the same way about the Pats and their rule-breaking duo of Brady and Belicheat that everyone else does. You're just limited by what you're allowed to say to the press. Everyone knows that Brady & Belichick are the shadiest Coach/QB pair to operate in the NFL. But, since their owner is best friends with the NFL Commissioner, they are allowed to bend/break the rules repeatedly. What a disgrace.

I think by now everyone knows the outcome of that mess. Goodell will wait until there is time for Brady to take the matter to court and then he will be able to continue to play until his appeal can be heard which will probably be 4 or 5 months down the road. I hope I am 100% wrong but that is my take at this time.

If they uphold the decision and it goes to court is it then he is suspended and will have to get an injunction to play?

And if they go to court i wonder if they realize at that point the NFL can subpoena for texts and that could damage Bradys case. Maybe this is Brady trying to threaten but doesnt realize that he could damage his own case.

I guess SalPal has no problem reporting theory as fact, as long as he thinks it's a good theory. Remember Jay Glazer's reporting that the Raven's tipped the Colts off? Not only did he dream that up, he even created a reason why (the Ravens unhappiness with Brady's "study the rule book" comment). Turned out to be untrue, of course. When will they be retracting their stories? Don't hold your breath...

I went to an ESPN article about it and it was filled with patriots fans still going at everyone is out to get them. How our team is scared to play them and our coach is always whining. I wonder where they come up with this crap. If I remember right they were the ones who were afraid to play us last season. For good reason. We should have won that game. Their bandwagon fans all over the place are out of control. I'd write back to some comments on there, but I don't have a Facebook. Oh well. I love our team and our owner.. And even if he didn't put a statement out denying this report, I agree they should suspend tom brady anyway. Hopefully we see them in the playoffs. Go Ravens!

It is starting to make me angry that they keep trying to pull the Ravens into this nonsense. It is clear from Biscotti that he does not want anything to do with "Deflategate." These false reports are getting ridiculous and they need to get their facts straight before they put this false information out there.

Their just trying to create a story where there is none. Biscotti likes Kraft. Ozzie likes Bill. None of our players got arrested or suspended this year. They know nothing about our Ravens and they need to make stuff up to kill time before training camp. Kind of disappointed in Sal. I believe Brady should just take the suspension because he should have read the rule book.

Biscotti likes Kraft. Ozzie likes Bill. .

I wouldn't go that far. They may keep it cordial and never diss each other publicly, but I wouldn't say they like each other.

Steve is smart to not let the Raven's organization get sucked in to the DeflateGate controversy and keep our focus on being ready for the season. However, I LOVE seeing the Pats perched upon their mighty throne, the well deserved, smokin' HOT SEAT.

I honestly dont care, if Steve did or did not say something because hes not the only one if he did. But taking his word that he didnt, there are still other owners pressuring Goodell to stay strong and firm on 4 game ban on the long over due...historic criminal enterprise known as the NE CHEATRIOTS!!! Spygate,Deflategate, enough said.

And theres enough evidence...between looking 7-10 years back at suspicious fumble outlier records when ball manipulation came into affect because Brady asked for it, there was reports this dated back to early in last season with Colts game.. So there is more then enough Circumstancial Evidence to say CONVICT!! And say this isnt a one time practice. For NE CHEATRIOTS

I do believe Bisciotti likes Kraft as Person doesn't mean he doesn't want to beat him. Ozzie goes way back with Bill to the Cleveland days. I think all those guys are friends. Saban, Mike Smith, Scott Paoli, Demetroff and Ozzie on Bill's staff. Ozzie has even said that Bill was the architect for the first Super Bowl team. That was the team he built in Cleveland before moving to Baltimore. Belichick recommended John Harbaugh to Steve Bisciotti so the press is making up animosity where non exist. We just liked to beat them fair and square.

Sal has been reporting hear say as fact for years. It's hard to believe anything he says. The only true fact in the entire story is "NE has been getting away with murder for years". Look at spy gate and the creation of "the tuck rule". Bob Kraft and Co. are cheaters and cry babies.

This is all part of some of the individuals in the media/NFL plan to exhaust the Deflategate story until no one cares what the NFL does about Patriots "Once again" cheating their way to a championship. Always deflecting from the story with who said or who reported what. The only truth is the Patriots got caught breaking the rules and should be punished. The NFL decided not to blame the Patriots organization, waited until after the draft to ensure they kept all their picks, now wants to make the story about who said what. Pathetic attempt at distraction.

Pats fans are having a field day with the Sal Pal article naming Bisciotti... Basically they are saying the Ravens are pressuring because they cant beat the Pats on the field so we have to get Brady suspended. LOL so soon they forget we beat them few years ago and have been so close on many occasions that they should ALWAYS fear us

Patriot fans are blistering mad about this absurd attempted takedown of Brady and the Pats. The lack of any precedent for the penalties handed down; the flimsiest possible grounds for a ruling ("Brady was probably generally aware" that the balls were "probably" deflated); the leaking of false information that has tainted public perception and stained Brady's reputation; the by-now fully discredited science of the Wells report; the failure of officials to have taken measurements of the inflation level and frankly amazing decision of the Wells report to disbelieve the official's memory of which gauge he used (to provide more damaging level of deflation); the ignored violation of the Colts in sticking needle in the intercepted ball; the indifference of the league (until now) about ball inflation levels (countless cold weather games have been played with underinflated balls and no one cares. Balls were inflated to 16 pounds, probably 6X the violation of the alleged "deflation); and now the stalling leading up to the beginning of training camp--honestly, if this was happening to Flacco and the Ravens what would these comments be saying? I have no problem with the Ravens--they were the one team NE didn't want to meet in the playoffs. But this is at worst a minor infraction that should have gotten a warning, as with the teams that were caught illegally warming balls on the sidelines. Let the teams play. This is so stupid and the NFL looks like the Three Stooges, except not as smart.

Waaaaahhhhhhh....Don't cheat and there won't be any.

The issue is that the Pats tried to cover it up and didn't cooperate with the league investigation. And Robert Kraft did his best Rafael Palmiero impression pointing his finger and emphatically denying taking steroids. If you're going to posture like a typical Boston Diva, you can't get mad when you get called on it. Yeah, we all believe that the equipment manager was nicknamed "deflater" because he lost weight. PansyStrong!

No, just like Ray Rice & Adrian Peterson, Brady cannot play until the court makes their decision (basically overturning the suspension). Until that time, he's at home (insert joke here).

The loser Patriots and their QB cheated consistently and for a long time. Now that they are being called on it, our owner Steve Bisciotti has to deny a story? Why Steve? Leave that horse dung scandal alone! Anybody that knows you should already know that you would never pressure Goodell? Why does Goodell need pressuring to uphold what is truly an absurdly lenient sentence for a lifetime of cheating by Brady??

I want to believe Bisciotti. I've respect the Ravens for their toughness. We saw them as our biggest threat. Over Denver. Indy wasn't even an after thought.

I was disappointed when I heard Bisciotti was lobbying to ban Brady. I expected so much more from the Ravens. Now that he denies it, I want to believe him. Hopefully he can help put this big mess to rest so we can all look forward to the game.

I'm pretty much with the majority when I say that I do not care if the Patriots used under-inflated football. In a game that was that big of a blowout, the proper ball inflation probably would not have mattered.

However, where I get mad is that Patriots tried to cover it up and act like they did not do a thing wrong, but they took the fine of $1M and a first round draft pick with no appeal and suspended the ball boys with no outside authority telling them to. That kinda says something is up to a degree.

If Brady and the Patriots come out and say, "Hey, I preferred the balls to be on the low end of the inflation spectrum and the cold weather must have taken it down further," then it is absolutely no big deal. However, to try to lie and cover it up, while withholding the text messages that could very well set you free if what you're saying is true is very damning to me. Personally, I just want the suspension upheld because of the lying and lack of cooperation.

Ban Brady for good. Stop the madness. His crying everytime he gets touched in a game and the endless whining about everything else is disgusting. Ship him off to the CFL
